The Ecstasy..... brand new in 1992. Our honeymoon and first cruise. Dont remember much ... except how “huge” she was, how ugly she was, and how cabin m11 up front was the worst cabin ever. Ahhhh rookie mistakes.
But. It got me hooked!!!!!
Thanks for the review!

Back from the Splendor today. Bluetooth Speaker. It's a good one. I still say the packing cubes were a life changer!!!

We are also going to Princess Cay and considered a Cabana as we lived our Cabana at HMC. BUT this is no value. Does not include any beverage or snacks. Walk a ways to the water. I think I'm just going to be happy with a clamshell or chairs in the shade.

We like getting on early - and we are lucky we can. Just to start vacation early. Get lunch. People watch. Unpack. Enjoy the early buzz. Something about being on the Lido Deck on Day 1 is so much fun.

Thanks for the review. Do you know if they had big taco shell salads at the burrito bar? Thanks!

A newlywed couple, first time cruisers, asked my friend how she could afford to eat in the MDR? They'd been eating on the Lido Deck- this was day 4 of a 5 day cruise on Paradise (no specialty restaurants at that time)!
Same situation! We were in line for pizza one late night. The couple in front of us were saying they were sick of pizza. They had no idea the MDR was included.

After 19 cruises in 25 years - it's amazing how it's different now.
- like others, we pack less. Although I STILL tend to overpack. Use packing cubes. Repeat outfits. Simplify jewelry.
- do less. Use to bounce from show to trivia to bingo to music etc. now we are content doing NOTHING.
- no bingo. No casino. I think it's been at least 5 cruises since we have done either. No reason really - we just got sick of giving our money away.
- spend time alone. I usually find a quiet area in the shade or inside to read. He hangs out at the pool.
- gym. Part of the daily routine now
- food. Just LESS. Cruising has become so less about food for us. While we enjoy it, we don't feel we have to have dessert at every meal, breakfast is light, etc. still love that Ice Cream however.
- bedtime. We used to feel we needed to stay up late - dinner, show, bar (midnight buffet), etc. Now early to bed, early to rise.
- ports. We take advantage of free or cheap offerings. Research. Trolley in San Juan, grand Turk beach etc. stay on ship days are the best.
- photos. Hardly any. We don't even stop on formal night.
But most of all, we are more than content to do NOTHING. it's no longer go go go. It's more go find a quiet corner and stare at the sea for hours. [emoji1]

Went to Nassau on our honeymoon cruise 25 years ago. 20 cruises later and we haven't been back. Besides seeing Atlantis we really don't have any desire to return.

Raisin Bran encrusted French toast. Seriously. It's that good.

For the most part all the American table menus are the same. Some may have minor changes and some cruises may change the orders depending on when elegant night is.

Thanks I know they are on ships with the blue iguana. I am more interested in finding out if they are on ships with just the plain ole Burrito Bar.

Fact is - we don't know any facts. Let's not make any judgments and just wish the family well. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone.

Hello ...
One thing that I really loved on our recent cruise on the Magic was that the blue iguana bar added huge taco shells for taco salad. Does anyone know if this is available on the Splendor 's Burrito Bar????
Thanks

I cannot find any info on the Conquest Sept 30th on the Carnival site.
Is there actually a sailing that week??

Oh boy. Tough call. They have pretty strict starting age rules. I remember our daughters first - we rebooked until a month after her 2nd birthday just for that reason. Just bring her birth certificate. Maybe you can talk to the director.

How does Princess Cays compare to HMC?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Not nearly as nice as HMC. The beach is rocky at first but then lovely a bit out.
Plenty of chars under cover if you prefer shade but get there early.
Food was terrible - we ate very little and ended going back to the ship.
Overall it was a good day - but not that slice of heaven that HMC provided.
