  1. Loving this review!

Wondering about beds in your room...I will have an OV with my 3 kids in March. I am new to CCL and cannot figure out how they arrange beds for 4 people (without having to share). If you room had that option, do you have any photos?

In the balcony rooms, the couch is converted into a bed and then upper bunk. Do OV’s have the couch?

  2. We have had our 15 and 13 year old boys with us on four cruises and another one booked for December. I have always laid out the rules prior to sailing and they know what is expected of them. They have earned our trust to be on their own at times and I have not had an experience where the atmosphere made me hesitant to allow them to do so. Are there people having fun? Absolutely! Sometimes it’s even me!

  3. We will be taking our 4th cruise with kids in a couple of weeks, our youngest was 10 for his first one. I understand your concerns! Even though I know the railings are sufficient I still worry - as moms/grandmas that’s our job[emoji6]. Even at 13 & 15 you can bet I will remind them of ‘safety rules’ again even though they may roll their eyes me. As others have said, it is very unlikely to accidentally fall over. I am sure you will have a great time and make a lot of wonderful memories!

  4. They are both good ones, tough choice!

We did mostly beach days on both itineraries. Not that telling you what we did will help you decide, but you never know. (Hubby, two teen/preteen boys and I.) Cozumel we went to Playa Mia: beach and small water park; Grand Cayman (my favorite on this itinerary) we swam with the stingrays and Mahogany Bay was just a beach day (it can get quite crowded). We also stopped at Belize when we did this route and we went cave tubing which is pretty neat!

Amber Cove has a pool right by the ship, we hung out there for a bit and went back on the ship, I wish I had done more research on this port; St. Thomas we went over to Trunk Bay on St. John (my favorite on this itinerary); Grand Turk was yet another beach day at Jack’s Shack and San Juan we walked to one of the forts and explored the area.

Maybe that will give you some ideas🤷*♀️. Either way I believe you will have a great time!

  5. Thanks Heids32, I just checked your roll call to see if anyone had any new information. I am on the 2/25 sailing. I am presuming you are following the CD on FB? Can you tell me his name please.

Happy sailing to you, take good care of the ship.

I sure am! He goes by Marcelo Marshmallow. We will do our best to make sure she is ready for you[emoji4]

  6. The cruise director has posted a couple of videos this morning. It sounds like the Fascination is scheduled to sail later this evening, they already have contractors on board that will start working on the way. I can’t remember if he said they are arriving at dry dock on the 5th or 6th, there for 10 days then back to Puerto Rico!

  7. My husband uses exactly one staple ("staple here") on the luggage tag. I use 5: one at the base and two along each side. He looks at me like I'm crazy with all my stapling and I look at him like he's taking way too many chances with his single staple.

This made me laugh! Sounds like my house[emoji1]

  8. We are flying from MSP to San Juan in a couple of weeks for a cruise on the Fascination. I found direct flights on Sun Country for around $450 per person (price has actually dropped to under $400...). It seems like last year when we flew to Miami it was around $400 as well, but I can’t remember for sure. We chose this itinerary for all the islands we get to see, I will definitely write a review when we get back!

  9. We are a group of seven who are also sailing 2/25/18. We have a couple of private tours booked already. We want to go to St. John. I hope it will be ready for people in two more months.

My husband is not convinced we'll actually cruise because he feels FEMA won't release Fascination as scheduled. At least we'd have a nice week in PR.

Oh man! Although I love your positivity I sure hope we sail as scheduled! [emoji6]
