Cucina - highly recommend the Pasta Carbonara. We crave it long after the cruise.
JiJi's - Slow-Braised Pork Belly & Slow-Braised Wagyu Beef Short Rib
Steakhouse - Lobster Bisque (not the same as what is served in the MDR)

I scanned a copy of my last sign & sail card from Carnival and sent it to MSC for proof of status.

The italian place is free for lunch isn't it?
Lunch is free and good, but the dinner is absolutely worth paying for. Different, more extensive menu and excellent food! Have tried Cucina on several different ships and can't wait to try the one on the Horizon in September. Yum yum!!

Citi Easy Deals or Citi Rewards generally have the gift cards as well. The last time they only had $100 gift cards available but I was able to buy 5 for $450.

We used Jiffy Jeff the last time and had great service. Price was good as well.

The lobster bisque is incredible! Definitely not the same as we received in the MDR several years ago after we had it in the Steakhouse. I highly recommend getting it with your dinner.

So excited! Upgraded to Yacht Club for our upcoming Divinia cruise and just received our room confirmation. Does anyone have pictures and details of Cabin 15001?

Does MSC charge to change a guest name? Looking at booking during the 2 for 1 Balcony sale. Not sure who will be going with me, my mom or my sister. Can I reserve and then change the guest if needed? I've only sailed Carnival so far and generally book Early Saver which has change restrictions.
Thanks.

Out of 7 cruises, I have only not purchased insurance once which happened to be our first cruise and that was only because I didn't think of it. There are too many things that can happen even if you are young. In my case, on our third cruise (my 2nd with insurance), I received a call at our first Port of Call that my dad had passed away unexpectedly. Quite a shock to say the least and it was well worth the $159 cost of trip insurance for my mother (his ex-wife) and me. We were able to get back home, recoup most of the cost of our trip, and cruise again once things were settled at home.
Will not travel without it now but as others have said, it's a personal decision.

I'm signed up for the Chef's Table on the Sunshine in 3 weeks. Can't wait! What a great review with gorgeous pictures. Thanks for taking the time to share with everyone.

I'm following along, excitedly anticipating Embarking on the Sunshine in a month! Great review so far!!!
CookiePie, I'll be on there with you. Can't wait to hit the beaches.

I love the Sunshine. Getting ready to go for the 2nd time and would also love to try the Breeze as I really want to use the T-pool. Sunshine did not seem much more crowded than any other ship I've been on and I absolutely loved the different dining options, especially Ji Ji's (which was well worth the upcharge for dinner).

I've used TravelSafe:) in the past. When we had to leave a cruise early due to a death in the family, the insurance claim was paid quickly and without much effort at all. Very happy with the service.

Don't let the bad reviews scare you. I loved it so much, I'm doing it again! This time to the Western Caribbean. There are plenty of great food options on this ship; the spa is wonderful, and Jamie D. can't be beat.
I'm only sorry that I didn't take time to post a review when I returned. It really is a great ship.
Go with an open mind and you'll have an absolutely wonderful time!:)

Absolutely loved the Spaghetti Carbonara. There were 3 children (maybe 5 - 8 years old) at the table next to us that seemed to enjoy the dinner as well. The portion of spaghetti and meatballs that they had was so huge it was unbelievable.

No, I stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan at 100 Brumbaugh Street last September for one night only and am staying there again for my cruise this September. While I am staying 2 nights this time, I checked the other website a couple of weeks ago and was able to book for one night only.
Good Luck!

I have been able to book 1 night only via hotels.com as a way around the 2 night minimum. While the website may require a 2 night minimum stay at first, as the time gets closer it generally reduces the minimum stay. This recently happened for my September stay; however, I have already booked through my credit card rewards and cannot change.
Hope this info helps you.
HAPPY CRUISING!

I have purchased for every cruise but our first one. On our third cruise, my dad passed away unexpectedly at home and we had to fly back immediately. So thankful for the insurance. Never travel without it now as you just never know.
