  1. Well cruise critic is a toxic dumpster fire and I would def not send anyone to this site for reviews. It’s basically full of boomers complaining about chair hogs and loud kids. Nothing you read here should be taken as fact. Same goes for Facebook. I recommend YouTube. JMO of course 🤷🏻‍♀️

    That's not been my experience.

My personal experience, my family’s personal experience, every FB group member and virtually every cruise vlogger I’ve watched all checked in hours earlier than assigned. So 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've actually had a very bad asthma attack in church froma woman who was wearing very strong perfume in front of me. I excused myself and left to go inhale my medicine. I had to be driven home. Yup not just cigarettes

Wow talk about grasping at straws 🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. I was at Hideaway in Feb on Odyssey. Wonder was there as well. It was fabulous. The heated pool and adults only was very worth it for me. Now I only paid $34 and would not pay much more. I got there a little after 9am and got one of the last loungers in the front at the pool. I also ventured over to South beach and Oasis lagoon later in the day and the water was absolutely freezing. I was kicking myself for giving up my Hideaway lounger. Btw I noticed the drinks were stronger at Hideaway than on the ship.

I saw a woman on debarkation morning grab 12 slices of toast. She sat and buttered every single one of them and put them in a container. The people sitting  next to her ( I was across) just stared. She didn’t care at all that people were watching ! I guess they were too cheap to stop for lunch on the way home. People are ridiculous!

    Carnivals gonna Carnival 🗑️ 🤷🏻‍♀️

Even if they do "hold back spots", which makes no sense, would you want to be part of a packed-to-the-gills excursion?

SaturnGrl gave you good advice:  Look into private tours for the same activity.  You'll be part of a smaller group, which almost always moves faster and gives you more options.  That they're cheaper is just a bonus.

Agree 1000%. We have private excursions booked in St Thomas and St Martin on our next Wonder sailing. We're done with the RC cattle call excursions.

  7. Just off the Feb 11 sailing. Overall was lots of fun, fabulous weather, great ports, etc. The ship is very nice, clean and probably the best shows I’ve seen to date. Def go see The Book and Showgirl. This was our first cruise since 2017 though.
One thing I noticed was the extraordinary amount of kids taking over the pool decks. Our previous cruises were on Oasis and Harmony and I don’t recall it being an issue. It was so bad you couldn’t even step foot into the pool without being kicked and splashed. So we spent a lot of time in the Solarium which was very nice as well.

  8. IMO nothing comes close to an Oasis class ship - well except for Icon I guess. We've been on Oasis and Harmony and will be on Odyssey this month then Wonder in June. Hoping to get on Icon within the next couple years if prices stabilize. Have no plans for Carnival

Unfortunately she doesn't have one. She's a bit of a late bloomer who had a really hard time with life the last few years due to health issues and parental abandonment. She's finally getting it together but no job/no credit card.

Then maybe the nice thing to do would be to treat her on your card.

This is one area where I do like how Disney does it. Your boarding group is tied to your selected/assigned Port Arrival Time - so it doesn't matter if you arrive at 10:00 with a selected PAT of 12:30; your Boarding Group is tied to that 12:30 so you're just going to be sitting in the terminal even longer until that boarding group is called. So you know going in if you insist on getting there early, you're going to be sitting for a while.

Cool for Disney. Thankfully Royal is different

Uber to the port and for hotel the Hyatt Place on 17th Street is priced right and has always been a very good place to stay.

The Embassy Suites is over rated.

Agree with all your points. We stayed at Embassy Suites 9 years ago and it was a dump then. Love the Hyatt Place
