My mistake. I knew I was on the right board but failed to mention I was asking about Vancouver

I am looking for parking alternatives to the parking garage at the port. Are there any? $267 for 7 days seems high. Anyone have any known options? Not guesses. Also not a hotel that will allow you to park at their lot while you are cruising. I’m not having any luck finding anything remotely close

Do you know if they still have the cold cereal at breakfast in the small manufacturer's boxes (Corn flakes, shredded mini-wheats, etc,)?
Pre-pandemic Princess said they would eliminate them to help reduce single-use packaging.
I did see lots of individual size cereal boxes in the buffet

Can anyone tell me how they are running the trivia on board. Mainly I would like to know if they are allowing six people on a team.
Thank you.
As I recall the host said you could have up to 6 on a team

Interior with queen setup. When I asked for an extension cord I was not made aware of the plug-in under the bed. Didn’t have an adapter anyway. So unless it was a standard outlet I wouldn’t have been able to use it

Hi -
Can you share any insights on the buffet situation? Other than a couple of posts earlier about difficulty in finding "spooner outers" on the line - what else is new post Covid?
Does one still have to troll to score an empty table and take turns getting food? How does tool management work now? I assume that piles in napkins on the table are a thing of the past. Can you get alcohol in the buffet in any reasonable amount of time? Is the food selection even close to the good old days?
Thanks to all the folks sharing their experiences!
We never found the buffet area to be crowded. On a related note the food selection was minimal. Many areas designated for food serving were empty, I think because of the reduced number of passengers onboard. Evidently a majority of passengers were eating elsewhere

Can anyone recommend great places on the ship for viewing the glaciers for folks without balconies?
Deck 16 aft was not overly crowded, maybe because it is not inside. After a while we went up to 17 aft. Even less crowded

CC members are the BEST. Thank you for your responses and comments. October will be first time on Majestic. Question for CPAP users...is there an electrical outlet on the nightstand or behind the bed?
No. I asked for and got an extension cord from our room attendant

So questions in the case of a positive result:
1) will Princess offer a FCC? Or does it go to your trip insurance coverage?
2). We are a group of 6 (3 couples). If one person has a positive will the entire group be denied boarding due to close contact with an infected person?
3) same questions for if your results simply don’t get to you in time
4). Any chance that Princess gets enough pushback on this that they decide to offer testing at the pier?

I would be curious to know if there is karaoke scheduled. Not the private karaoke rooms, but in a public venue. Thanks in advance.

What in the world took 3 days to get to this point? Unbelievable. What a sham.
There are so many things that had to happen to do the disembarkation right. A logistical nightmare. Easy to sit at a computer and criticize

I would not be concerned with that itinerary. We have 6 cruises booked for the next 2 years. Luckily the first 5 are all Us, Canada and Mexico. Not scared at all
If the cruise was tomorrow AND my wife’s immune system was full strength we would go. We will wait and see because we really really want to go on this cruise but we’ll see.

I am not certain what the itinerary is for your cruise. Is it to an area wherePrincess would likely cancel or would the itinerary be changed due to the impact of the virus.
LA to Hawaii. I could see an outbreak happening in LA that could explode within a few days. And with Hawaii being a popular destination for Asian countries that’s another concern.

We were on Majestic Princess which shortened cruise due to virus, people travelling from Fremantle are getting 100% back for cruise with 50% future cruise credit of what they paid for the cruise. Insurance is different overseas to hear in Australia. We are unable to get insurance to cover the virus, so unless the ship cancels no money back. Where is your cruise going to?
Our insurance in ‘cancel for any reason’. Cruise is round trip LA to Hawaii

We are booked on a cruise March 29. My wife has a compromised immune system and so, due to the coronavirus , we are really weighing the option of just canceling this cruise and not taking any chances. We got the standard trip insurance through Princess which would offer a 75% credit toward a future cruise. Of course we will wait until shortly before the cruise to make our final decision but I’m just wondering on the off chance that this thing goes sideways and princess cancels this cruise I assume we would get a 100% credit toward a future cruise? I guess this would affect how Long we wait to actually cancel our cruise. What would you do in my situation?

As for sodas, you can bring on as many as you like at ever port.
So to be clear, they will let you carry on a case of 24 cans of pop at embarkation or any port?
-
Looking at the “6 sodas for the price of 5” and the “15 coffee punch card” packages. I see that these are available online up until four days before the cruise. Can you buy these same packages on board?

I’ve always wondered at what point a cruise line would deny boarding due to ‘symptoms’. If I am congested, coughing, and mild fever (aka, the common cold) would I be denied boarding? My question is for when there is NOT a pandemic happening VS the current situation with coronavirus. When I look at CV symptoms the look like someone who might have a cold. 🤷♂️
...............At least in the beginning stages

Hello. We have just booked our first ever Princess Cruise. LA—Hawai’i—back to LA. Plenty of sea days and I enjoy karaoke and trivia. I’m wondering how much karaoke I can expect. Hopefully at least every other day. And how many trivia sessions can I count on each day?
-
Thanks for all of the thoughtful comments so far. I am feeling a little less apprehensive.
What is silent disco, BTW?

We have cruised Carnival 5 times, RCI once and Norwegian once. Wondering how Celebrity differs. To be honest my wife and I are very laid back and we like to be comfortable on vacation. I’m hoping the Celebrity crowd is not too sophisticated for our liking. During the daytime while just kicking around the ship do people where T-shirts and jean shorts and flip-flops? Or is it polo shirts and pleated dressy shorts? We don’t do formal nights in the dining room so on the other nights are jeans (men and/or women) and button up shirts common? Is their karaoke nightly? Generally how is the live music? Rock/pop bands or string quartets? Just trying to get a feel for the vibe in general. Thanks in advance
