The current planner price for the return Transatlantic in October is $66/day. The photo provided here shows onboard price $88 + one half-off, which averages to $66pp, same price. But by keeping your eye on the planner pricing you may find it cheaper at some point. It’s a lottery.

Also remember booking onboard in Spain will include Spanish tax of 22% 😮

We are debating the Drinks’ package…seems very expensive compared with Princess Plus package—-take note RC !!!

Where did you see it was buy One, get one half price on the first day, please ? Think I’m not looking carefully enough.

Do not wait until you board before buying,  book it in the online planner it will be a lot cheaper a lot👍😎

Not sure it’s safe for me to publicly say my cabin number after I announced how much cabin snacks I have…

I’m staying in 6632, so right next to the one you booked! If you have any specific questions about the cabin or things you’d like me to show, just ask!

Now to those who are on the ship right now…please don’t come and steal my snacks! 😂

Hi any chance you could poke ya nose in 6630 and tell me the position of the bed, ideally we want it like yours..

    thanks

  5. We are considering a Cunard cruise for next year. We have only taken Princess (Elite), Celebrity (Elite), and RCCL (Diamond). Since Princess and Cunard are both part of Carnival Cruises, do they honor any level reached on the other line?

    Thank you.

    Sadly no...

  6. it is amazing isn't it?

The regular cost for my flights, RSW-SFO and LHR to MIA, First class on AA to SFO and then "Upper Class" return to Miami would have been $8500 pp. We will be paying just under 2K pp.

I just checked my flights today and the price increased since I booked last month.

    Enjoy the savings.

Great price, I rang them to price for our QM2 trip next year Manchester to Vancouver in BA first class, they came back extra £4300pp, I can book it myself for £1650pp and that's not using a cheap return ticket, there's no price increase if we go castle class, maybe certain airlines give better discounts?

  7. I don't think the flight was included, both prices were just the basic inside cabin without any frills. (On the uk site, it was the early saver rate)

Removing the flight from the UK site doesn't affect the price.

    Both were one way only.

You can remove airfare from a select full fare and £300 is deducted but not from a saver fare..[emoji106]

  8. Fare before taxes, fees and port expenses:$1,398.00

    CunardCare Guest Protection:$0.00

    Taxes, fees and port expenses:$105.76

    Your Fare:$1,503.76

Total in GBP is - £1160 vs £1748 from cunard.co.uk

Seems a good saving, I can not find anything that good, must be looking at the wrong TAs [emoji6]

  9. The price you see does not include tax until you go through the booking process plus no flights are included, with the low exchange rate the only advantage is the cancellation which you can do and get your deposit back before final payment..

I've booked RCI cruises and got good deals with free tips and OBC but nothing like that on Cunard that I saw.

  10. Hi,

Another note-as you will be in the Times Square area, the M20 goes down 7th Ave all the way to South Ferry; there you can take the Staten Island Ferry R/T -it’s free; you can also pick up the boats to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island which has an amazing Immigration Museum. From South Ferry you can stroll up Broadway to Wall Street, Trinity Church and a little further to Ground Zero and all of that. If then you stroll down Wall Street to Water St. you can pick up a N’bound M15 which will go through Chinatown and the Lower Eastside. It continues up 2nd Ave. to the UN. From there you can take an M42 and be right back in Times Square.

From Times Sq. , if you walk over to 8th Avenue, you can take an M104 which will take you up to Columbus Circle and the SW Corner of Central Park-that bus continues up to Lincoln Center-Opera House & etc.

At Lincoln Center , if you take the M66 Crosstown you will cross Central Park to 5th Avenue and stroll up 5th Avenue to the Museums -if you do not want to stroll go one more street and take a N’bound bus on Madison Ave. M1,M2,M3 or M4 to 79th St where Museum Mile begins with the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

    Bon Voyage!!!

    And more excellent info

    Again thanks.[emoji106]

  11. Not sure if you would be interested in something as informal as this, but I recommend you take a cab from the port directly to your hotel to drop off your luggage, and then get a Metrocard. If you take the M1, M2, M3, or M4 bus straight down 5th Avenue, it is really a great (and economical) tour of Manhattan! If you pick it up at 96th street and ride it straight down, you will get to see the Guggenheim Museum, Cooper Hewitt Museum of Design, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Museum, Central Park & the Central Park Zoo, 57th Street with all major designer shops as well as Grand Army Plaza and the Plaza Hotel, Rockefeller Center, the New York Public Library, and more! The best part is, if something interests you, you can hop off and see it, and then just walk back to 5th Avenue and continue down on the next bus. I lived in NYC for 6 years and a lot of our guests loved this. During weekdays, the bus is not crowded. Just be careful around 4:30-6:30 the buses fill up during rush hour.

    Excellent info [emoji106]

    Thanks

  12. If I had lots of OBC then I would perhaps give it a go like I do with the other paid restaurants, I guess Cunard have realised people are prepared to spend on all sorts of extras..! If someone is spending upwards of £5k pp for a 7 night crossing then $15 is peanuts...

  13. has anyone used Cruise Connect, intercruise to bring them to the port.

If so are they strict with 3 medium size cases weighing no more than 20k.

My trip is 29 nights and I would have like to take 1 large, 1 medium and a suit bag , or 2 medium and a suit bag.

I have contacted them and they haven't yet sent a reply.

    Many thanks in advance.

Honestly don't worry, The driver won't be bothered he just loads anything waiting to be loaded, all very efficient..

  14. I'm on the QV right now and spirits have certainly shot up. Yesterday in Spain I just had a coke and with tip and Spanish vat it was almost $5 for a piddling little bottle of the stuff.

And $9 for 2 very poor quality cappuccinos in the golden lion did rather annoy me somewhat.

Did you happen to notice if the soda package is still offered..

    Cheers..

  15. I'm a bit sceptical on this one. Hard to believe any cruise line could bump passengers, and yes that would be the rhread to beat any here.

    David

We were not bumped but kinka pushed, 2015 were booked on Arcadia 24 night round trip Caribbean, we booked 9 months out and 7 days before departure got this email.

After some lengthy phone calls it turned out everyone on G deck had been relocated to other decks but they had no more accessible cabins to move us to which meant living on a building site for 24 nights, so we felt they they left us no other option but to accept a full refund, if they had bumped us we would have gotten a better deal and maybe got other costs refunded but they said it was our decision to take the refund... oh hum. 16. That's not good I would be fuming, this should never happen on high end vacation from a premium business..

We just swapped from Gatwick to Birmingham, the original was with BA from Gatwick I got a reference number from Cunard to book seats which as of now are still live on my BA account even tho I've got a new booking on United from Birmingham, when I tried to book my seats with united they said the seats were not ticketed and could not book any seats until Cunard paid for the ticket, I got my TA to get this sorted took a few days but once it said ticketed on the account then they allowed us to book seats, so after reading about your problem I'm glad I got Cunard to sort ours..

I was told Cunard wait until the very last moment to confirm their manifesto with airlines and hotels, until it's confirmed and paid everything is just on hold..

You were lucky you had the means to pay for a new ticket imagine a family in the same situation with very little cash..

  17. If you drink spirits then the soda package is a good idea only $6.50 a day and includes lots of mixers etc.

Our soft drinks package includes Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Lemonade, Soda, Tonic Water (from the soda gun only) & fruit juices (Orange, Apple, Grapefruit, Pineapple, Tomato & Cranberry) for $6.50 a day (+15% gratuity charge).

You can purchase this package once on board and the package is for the duration of your cruise.

  18. Trays are there, just ask about them. We were on the QM2 in April and I used to come down from sunbathing aloft for afternoon tea to take back up. The first time I asked if there was an possibility of a tray.......the maître-d looked at me, smiled and queried if I was "picnicing?" I took the tray upstairs and made sure it went back to deck 7 when we'd finished.

I'm sure if you asked they would find one for your wife

The more I've thought about this more I like the idea of it being less cafeteria, but now you've mentioned it I do get stuff and take it back the cabin, so good news they still have a few trays.. :)
