We live in Florida and made the drive to Port Canaveral which was only a 2 hour drive. The port was easy to get around and we parked at the port which charges you for 8 days on a 7 day sailing, I personally thought it was petty of them to charge an extra day but so be it next time we will go to Park and Go again and save the extra 50 dollars.

The line to get thru security at the port took long as we got there at 12 and I think most of the people got there around the same time. I had in the past arrived around 11 am and the lines were much better. Once you go thru that line you need to wait in the second line to register and get your sea pass card which was quick for us as we are Diamond member but none the less the line were much shorter as Royal had much more employees then the terminal.

Once we boarded we did our traditional hang a right and have a drink. The beer runs about 9 with tip and drinks around 10-12 which can be costly if you drink a lot and have no perks or a package. We decided to go and eat and ended up in the Windjammer which this time around they do not let you in unless there is an open table and you are taken to the seat ,mind you this is only on the first day at the Windjammer which is much better then thousand of people trying to find a chair with a plate in hand. Finally it was 1 and we were allowed to go to the room which we did and our bag was there and so I unpacked and we decided to walk around and explore until we had to go to the life drill. 

We paid for the buy one get one and we went to the promenade and made reservations to Giovanni and 150 which I will talk about later. When we went to the dinning room to check our table we found out that the boys which came with us on this trip were seated separate from us so we had to go to the dinning room and have it corrected which they did fix it on the spot and we were given 530 my time dinning.

After the drill we head to Giovanni and once again the food was excellent along with the service. This option has alway been great and never disappointed I had the tenderloin steak and it was the best steak and we ordered 3 sides and all of us shared them. The desert was very good as well. I highly recommend Giovanni.

So after dinner it was time to hit the casino which actually paid very well throughout the trip don't get me wrong I still lost but not as bad as other cruises. I have to say there were many many handpays given just not to me. The roulette was good and my son actually won 400 dollars the first night and never played again. I played roulette and played for a very long time with 100 dollars but many lost thousands which was crazy. Only one roulette table had working screens and it normally did not open until after 8pm since it was a single zero. It seems every night thereafter that a certain number would hit all night long so if could figure out which number it was then you walked away with a lot of money one night it was many 3,another 10 another 16 and 34. As for the machine they had lots of bonus but not a big enough payout to keep you winning but at the end I did get a free cruise which is great as I like to play  and this was just a great perk. The drinks became free and I tried many new drinks and now am hooked on chocolate martini. The bar service is slow since there is usually only one bartender. Speaking of bartender one of them which I think he is from India and very nice and the other guy was rude and mean and most people don't annoy me but he did. I also have to say that most of the casino people were very nice specially Shirley the casino host excellent person but there was a girl Yan or Yam and she was horrible and catered to the wealthy men only and treated everyone else like garbage and so half way thru the trip I decided everytime she came to the table I would leave not sure but she needs to chill out.

The next dining was 150 this is not for me as the food is crazy different and I ordered the lobster and could not eat it. I did not complain as it was not the cooks fault just too different for me and so I went to eat someone else when I left. As for my boys one liked the food the other could not eat it and my husband said that the food was not for him as for the service it was okay and took a very long time to get.

I want to say that for the first time the dining room food was not good it was warm and not very good. I thought it was me but all four of us have the same feeling about the dinning room. The waiter was good but never could be found and the assistant you could not understand at all and worse he could not understand us. Even ordering plain bread was an issue. I hope this is not the new norm but just the ship as this was my favorite part of cruising and I'm not even a very picky eater. Food should not be warm, and either it was overcooked or undercooked example the fish was literally red and raw. The lobster was good. The deserts were all okay and the cheesecake was the best of all desserts.

We had a room in the front in the middle it was the biggest inside room we had ever had and always stayed nice and cold. We usually go on balconies so I was scared I was going to feel closed in but it felt perfect and being cold was a plus. The room attendant was very nice and friendly and gave me all that I asked for which was 2 extra pillows and one blanket and ice. No problems there

The ports we did our own tours and it was all fine. Jamaica we only shopped at the port and then spent the day on the ship pool and jacuzzi.

Like always there is a lot to do golf, movies, arcade pool shop and dance so it was very nice

The only thing since we had a full ship we had several Alpha alpha alpha called and at 1 in the morning captain was asking for 0 type negative blood donor which is scary and I feel terrible for the person which was in such need I hope they made it. Another was next to me the lady started have convulsions and that was scary.

Diamond Club was really good this time not so crowded and the coffee machine was always working. The drinks during 430-8 were alway good and service was good as well. They should have more chocolate covered strawberries but thats just my opinion

They ship show lots of wear and tear but still nice looking like an old lady with lots of plastic surgery. You know like Racheal Welch.

The Solarium was great as usual and I love eating there for breakfast. As for lunch all over including the hot dog which was good too. Pizza was good and the line moved fast for a pizza place. The Promenade was full as usual with lots of buyers including myself specially during sea days.

I think overall the ship was nice I would go on it again but wait until the makeover. The staff was all very nice some of them had been there many months and looked tired but had a nice disposition. 

The boys said that the 21 Glaze club was dead and the music was terrible mainly older music that could improve to get the new generation to go again.

Before you get all mad let me tell you that the same happen to me.

I missed the 30 day date for a free cruise and called couple months later and they allowed me to get a free cruise of their choice. The Harmony is too new a ship and is not yet on the list. Most of them will be Oasis and Allure and the freedom class and a few of the smaller ships.

With that being said it is your fault for missing it and legally I see no recourse as it does say it on the certificate. If you remain in good terms they will send you offers in the mail for free cruises just don't expect it to be on a new ship.

It is free and free comes with string even if you paid a fortune in casino money it was a choice made rather then playing you could have not and gone on the Harmony but if you like to play then a cruise which is free is always a good reward. So hopefully they will reward you with a future free cruise.

I am now Prime and will get more free cruises which is great specially the free drinks. The Oasis which I just took this week was great in the casino I still lost but not as badly as I have on other cruises. The machines do pay and there were many handpays just not me. 

No on the Allure of the Seas and very limited drink options but you can order it with your 3 drink download at the other bars.

Take a tour, use Bodden Tour its way worth the money and you get to keep your personal driver all day long as he takes you everywhere you want to go. Ask for driver Issac. Very cheap.

We stopped at the beach at Bananarama and paid 10.00 for our chair in the shade about 15 feet from the water which by the way is clean and clear. Later in the day it did get busy but nice nonetheless.

Our tour guy took us to the Rum and Choc factory and let us shop, i bought 2 of the best hammacks on the top of the sightseeing hill for 15.00 a piece. Love them.

The locals are nice and the island is a work in progress but fine. Go have fun and dont get put off by people that scare you into staying on board the ship.

Anther notation we alway go to the Park in Cozmel and then go to have late lunch at La Mission, they have always had great reviews on TripAdvisors and we went once and we were in love. Unfortunately for the first time we went and it was terrible, the food, service and quality of experience.

We were there 2 minutes and they came up asking for money for the live music, we just sat down really.

Then it took forever to get the food and had to keep asking and flagging them down for everything.

The food was cold and the fish was terrible and tasteless , the guacamoli was smached avacado, two pieces of onion nothing elso no flavor.

Then came the check it was all wrong none of the prices matched what i was being billed for and the answer was well its in peso then why give a menu with us dollars.

Never again will i refer or go back there again. This is the only bad port experience in the whole trip.

They do not issue coupones anymore they just download the 3 drinks unto your card. Make sure the drink is covered and then at the end of the day make sure they took it off your balance, you can check on the tv and if it is wrong go to guest services and have it removed, we had to do it twice. Drinks for Diamond members are only good between 4-8 and if you go to the lounge the drinks are free and you still keep your 3 free drinks. And no you can not use it in the main dining room but i alway bought mine with me from the lounge since i always like wine.

As for Baha Mar yes you can walk around it is not like Atlantis which keeps you in the casino only.

It is costly to take a taxi to Baha Mar cost us 26.00 for four of us and then 20.00 back plus tip so we spend 60.00 just to go to the casino and walk around. They do have free drinks in the casino and the machines did pay so it made up for it. Nice place but expensive as there is nothing around and you have to take a taxi all the time.

By the way I just received an email i have a free cruise and i dont feel i even played much so make sure you use your card it pays off.

We just went on the Allure and in a suitcase carried on a 12 pack of water with no problem. I need them for my room to drink my meds. Make sure they are in the plastic wrap so they see you did not open and put alcohal in instead. I had no problems but then again I am not trying to smuggle liquor just water for health reason.

The best snorkeling to do on your own is in Cozmel at Chakannab park, it cost 21.00 to go in the park but well worth the money. The water is beautiful and clear full of fish all sort of fish. The food there is excellent and the drinks are great and cheap. The massage on the beach bit pricey but relaxing. Its requires water shoes so do not forget them as the fish snorkeling area is rocky thats why there are so many fish. The water is deep from the start but i am only 5 feet tall so you need to know how to swim or bring a float device You can also rent the snorkeling there but i did not want my mouth were hundreds have been so i bring my own.

Have fun and dont panic if the fish come and nibble on you it wont hurt just tickle, they love skin. Enjoy

If I order a drink and it includes 18% I do not tip extra. If i go to the casino and do not pay for drinks I tip 2.00 for a drink and 1.00 if they hand me a beer at the bar. As for the Diamond club we get one to two drinks and leave between 1.00 and 2.00 a drink. We pay all cash and if you run out of ones go to guest services and they will exchange up to 20.00 for you. I also tip the luggage handlers, taxis, tour operators, massage and waiters depending on service depends on tip anywhere between 1.00 to 100.00 a person if they stay with us all day then the least i can do is give them 100.00. That being said bring lots of money you will need it unless you dont drink or leave the ship.

Dont miss Roatan it was very nice I was a bit worried but did the Bodden Tour it was cheap for 4 of us and it was great experience. The beach is clean and the sand soft, the drinks pricey.

I also found some good purchases and the locals are friendly.

The Bolero played great music at night and the drinks were good. We also enjoyed the salad on deck 8 at the Cafe there, the first day stay away from the Windjamer and go there to eat instead.

The boys age 19 and 20 had a great time every night they went to the Blaze club dancing. The DJ was okay but there was alot of people dancing and having fun. They also enjoyed basketball, the jacuzzi and pool. Most of the time the party did not get going till 1230 though so get in a nap.

This is my favorite class ship as it offers alot to do and you can not do it all on one trip so you keep coming back to something different all the time. I just hope they furnish egg crate toppers and improve the food and the deserts, as they are dull and tasteless. Also keep the salt down as you can always add salt.

This is my second time on the Allure and I am still loving it. We changed a few things we did the BOGO dining and I must say it was way worth the price. The service at Chops was great never had better service anywhere. The second night was Giovanni which was good as well. I find the service better at Chops and the steak better at Giovanni. The main dining room was for the first time in 10 years lacking at best. The service was slow and non attentive not to mention the food was average and the desert was poor.

I love to play in the casino and have to say the machines as usual bit tight but thats the norm on cruise ships. I did do well at the roullete which is not typical but it appears most nights the same numbers came up so i went with it and won on 2 nights. I also received free alchohol package from day one since it said premier on the card. Way to go casino host they are great. The only complaint is the smoke is very intense.

The worse part of the cruise for the second time in a row was the bed it was unbearbly hard as a rock.

The room attendent was average but that is all i need. I ask for extra pillows and ice and i got it.

Diamond Club was better this time around as it was not so full and we were able to get some drinks before dinner. The coffee machine was always working which was great as last cruise it was never working. The girl at the front office was very sweet and nice, I never had to deal with her but saw her being very nice and accomidating to all guest.

The shows were all good specially the ice show. Dont miss it.

The sales were okay but not great so we did not buy as much as usual.

The pool in the solarium was great and so was the jacuzzi. The chairs were held but periodically they would say that they did not allow it and your stuff would be removed, never had a hard time getting a chair and it was a sold out ship.

We went to Baha Mar very nice gambled won bit and left.

Roatan great tour with Bodden Tours beautiful water and asked to be taken to Bananarama which included a 10.00 chair and great beach. Was taken to rum factory and chocolate factory and bit of shopping and top of the mountains all for a great price.

Costa Maya went to Mahahal this time the water was smelly and lots seaweed but relaxed at the Crazy Lobster had some beers, drinks and chicken quasadilla. There is also girl there that does massage they advertise 20.00 an hour so i had one done great but my husband she only did for 30 minutes and said she was done WTH i would have paid 20.00 for half hour but dont fib, i hate that. My son used another girl to get her massage and she did one hour for 20.00 and was good as well, she was the taller young girl with red lipstick, ask for her.

Cozmel went to Chatakab not sure spelling excellent as usual but just note enterence is 21.00 it is worth the money, Did snorkeling which was great, clear water. The waiter was excellent ordered many drinks and food and he was always there gave him 100 tip for being so good.

Overall excellent trip, will go on her again and this time I will pay 100.00 for 5 night special dining as it is worth the extra money. By the way with the BOGO they will try and tell you Chops not included just say yes they are that other do it all time and they will make changes. One phone call

Breakfast stay away from Windjammer go to Solarium or other places as it gets too full.

The movies under star were not worth the time as the movies they play are not new.

Took a tour in Roatan and used Bodden Tours, it was a great tour and have nothing but great things to say. I never felt

that i was being hurried and the driver was very nice. Definitely would use again.

My son deveolped croup and then had an athma attack on board and they said if he did not get better after treatment he would need to be airlifted off the ship, thank you God he got better and the total bill was approx 800.

Since the insurance offered by the cruise is very expensive i go to insuremytrip.com I purchase insurance no secondary for 4 of us its around 100 to 120 total. I make sure that if i cant afford the insurance i wont go.They have serveral companies to chose from.

I dont care what others tip and I dont follow what others are doing, free will.

As for me when we go to the DL we order 2 beers for my husband and 2 cups of wine for me and before we leave we give them 5.00 each night, the drinks are free and I am not paying gratuities. So why be cheap they deserve a tip.

However, if i get a package and order a drink in a bar I will not tip as I have already tipped 18% or approx 9 dollars a day and only have about 4 to 5 drinks a day which equals to 2 per drink tip.

As for Meals we do Chops and maybe another restaurant and we pay 18 percent on top of the daily gratuities, as i feel it is pety to take the auto gratuities off as these people do need to get paid and work hard and just because i want a specialty restaurant they should not be punished for it. So for 2 evenings i pay twice which should not even be an issue it a small amount and makes another happy, they deserve it in the dining room as they are very nice and work hard. (you can see it in their face, they are tired but smiling)

I was on the Allure of the Seas almost 6 months ago and one of my main problems was the matress was so very hard it was impossible to sleep. Nevertheless I love the Allure and will be going back but his time i will bring a matress pad.

I was on this ship last year and the casino was great to me, no jackpot but several hundred dollars and of course I lost at the end but had alot of fun without breaking the bank.

Has anyone been on this ship within the last 4 months and done well in the casino if so which machines treated you well and did you see or have any jackpots on the slots.

RCCL is not notifying as fast as we like, I think later you will receive the letter with the Itinerary change.

If anyone gets a letter, please let us know if they are replacing the destination with another or a ship day.

I had a tour with Bodden and he sent me an emailing stating that Allure of the Seas was not going on the 10th because of the pier.

So I called Royal Caribbean twice, two diffenent reps and they said there was no such cancelation.

What do you think of that

It makes no difference to me as I dont mind staying on the ship but the truth is always nice.

I was on the Allure but never was able to see a Headliner show or Quest. I tried to book them online but it does not show up. How do I schedule reservations for them.

I was planning on doing the all in one spanish/english tour thru RCL. Can anyone tell me if this tour takes the bus thru cliffs as i am scared of heignts. Or should we just take a taxi to West Bay or any suggestions what to do.

Just went on this ship end of November other then the bed, my only other not so good experience was for the first time the Member Lounge. Forget going from 5 to 8 it is packed no seats and short staff good luck getting a seat or drink.

The coffee machine never works or is not loaded with coffee or they are cleaning or fixing it. Sorry for the bad news. I think they are not friendly because they are overworked in there too. This was a first for me and I have been a Diamond member for a long time.

Other then these two items it was a very nice cruise and friendly staff.

We went in at 11 and we were on the ship by 1125.

We were off by 8am but took our luggage with us.

Just off the Allure and I have to say this was the one and only time we had a bad experience in the Crown and Anchor Lounge. The coffee machines were either out of coffee, not working or being cleaned, to get my morning expresso i had to go to Starbucks. There were so many people at night that you can not find a seat anywhere or get a drink. The workers were not friendly at all and think it was because they are overworked, at least I think so. No greating when you walked in the morning which i dont really care but at least acknowledge a guest if they are the only one there. What a shame never had a negative experience before.

Recently off the Allure and I can say up until now never had a problem but the matress on the Allure was absolutely terrible, harder a carpet floor. This was my main negative comment about the ship. We asked the Steward for a egg crate and he said that they do not have them and nothing he can do. I went to guest services and when i got to the room he was adding extra sheets which did nothing for comfort.
