  1. The Cruise Norwegian mobile app is not intended for children under the age of 13. However, permission by a parent or guardian in the same stateroom can be granted through their mobile app. To grant permission, a parent must log into the app with their information, open the main menu and navigate to the Preference Center, select the CHILD ACCESS menu option, and follow the instructions.

  2. anyone who is expecting prices to change because of an ncl sale is either inexperienced or naive.

the only time prices rise and fall is with demand. thats it. everything else is always the same (with the oddball extra point or similar thrown in from time to time).

if your cruise has low demand, the price will fall. NCL should dump the pretense already and call it a day

Just pulled up Uber app which is quoting $232 Miami to port Canaveral.  Rental car is coming in at $150 + gas + hassle of pickup & drop off + two ubers to get to & return rental.

    Edit: Lyft showing $204.

Dont forget this pricing can change, though probably not by much

I would schedule the pickup in advance. It costs more but it all but guarantees you a ride

No way. Talking about 90-mins pre-arrival (TSA Check in boarding) 10-15 mins of taxing on a good day 30min in the air, and 30-45 mins post-arrival. To then grab a car. 2.5 hours to deal with the risk of a delay or cancellation for a 3.5 hour drive. And that 2.5 hours does not even include the 45-mins from Orlando to the Port.

That is for Google maps to determine. It is going to be one of the two, and I would just pick whichever the GPS with live traffic says is best.

Stop. Nobody, especially with precheck, needs to arrive any more than 1 hour from departure.

That said, op should rent a car and stick to the major companies (not priceline) direct booking.

The screams (if any) from slides are projected out of the tube at the bottom and top. Not through the side of the slide.

The slide maybe 🤔 partially obstructs the view of 2, maybe 4 haven cabins.

NCL will not remove the slides in any dry dock. When the slides were added to oasis class, it obstructed dozens of cabins from being able to watch the show at the aqua theater, when people complained, they just continued to add slides to the ships even more. And one thing I’m certain of is I’ve never heard screams unless I was very near to the entrance or exit of the slides.

The slides are an popular attraction for non haveners, which make up a majority of the ship (more revenue for NCL) so they are not going anywhere, I can promise you that.

If anything, later down the road after 1000 formal complaints, maybe, MAYBE they will relabel the cabins “partially obstructed view” and charge $200 less. This is really the best outcome you can hope for. If you really have a problem with it then don’t book the location or complain to NCL.

Or better yet, book a real luxury line where you can be with other peoples of your kind and get together in stuffy dining rooms and complain and those hideous slides over at “poor people cruise lines”

I really can’t see NCL giving any compensatory monies for this situation as cheap as they are. Most likely your request will be filtered from concierge to shoreside and then in the eternal abyss.

yes how dare the poors have some fun on their holiday! Miffy, call the butler to come turn my deck chair ever so slightly to the right so i dont have to see the tube. You know, I should really setup a toll inside that slide for them coming through my space. I thought the haven was private!

No. There are double karts. There are separate times for singles and doubles. If it "go kart or bust", then make sure to sign up as soon as you embark. Schedule early in the cruise in case weather causes your session to be cancelled.

thank you, where do you sign up?

Really?  On the website it says double riders for kids who don’t meet the height requirement. I will have a very sad 9 year old if there are only single rider karts 😞

I am asking for my 8 year old, so right there with you

We know that everyone on board tested negative and everyone had their temp checked at the port.  On the latter point, they use those temperature guns which always seem to underestimate temps.  I sailed a few weeks ago and, between coming in from the (cold) outside and normally running a bit low, they couldn't even get my temperature to register 🤣.  Better to be a bit low than high, I suppose!  But if someone DID register as 98.6, they're probably more like 100-101 "under the tongue."

Of course, once the ship leaves port, all bets are off.  Short of daily temp checks/rapid tests for every passenger, and I'm not sure how practical that is, you'll have some people who are newly positive but asymptomatic walking around.

No offense but you are not a cold blooded animal. Unless you were hypothermic or hyperthermic, the outside air temperature has no bearing on your body temperature.

  9. HEY LOOK OVER HERE EVERYONE A RULE BREAKER! See no one cares to all of you quick to slap a red letter on the poor guy. Good thing you did not also put your stuff on a lounge chair. I see others have offered to assist you. I will as well if you need help still, but I am sure any of these other folks are just as good of a choice as I.

  10. Since you are traveling on the Dawn which arrives on a Sunday, you will have to do the ferry to St George's and Tobacco Bay on Monday because the public ferry and the NCL ferry did not run on weekends to SG (2017).

Yes, there are frequent public buses that will take you from the caves to SG.

The aquarium is 3 - 4 miles from the caves, and you could do that on Sunday by taking the ferry to Hamilton, and a route #10 or #11 bus to and return from the aquarium.

What day are you planning your boat rental for?

    SBtS

Ok so Monday we could ferry to st g, do beach, bus to caves bus to ferry back

Sunday we can ferry to Hamilton bus to aquarium bus back to ferry

Wed we could do h20. Any idea how to bus there?
