  1. Hi everyone,

I am very interested in a whale watching and island tour by boat however the 3 companies I have contacted so far are only offering private charters. As lovely as that would be it is quite bit out of our price range. Private charter would be around $300++ per person for 3-4 hours

I have contacted Hackshaw, Exodus and Mystic man which I found on other posts on here. Any advice on who might be offering a group excursion would be greatly appreciated! I know we could probably find one through the ship...that will be our last resort.

    Thank you!

    Amy

  2. We got back about 2 weeks ago. I got a few bites in Barbados but the other islands were very clean. Saint Lucia especially seemed to be enforcing a no standing water and all garbage will be covered law. The port area was even looking rather spiffy. All the vendors were carrying their bags of trash quite aways away to dispose of it and to drop the various recyclables in their proper bins. The ABC Islands probably spray as there were no mosquietos

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. I will be extra careful in Barbados! Glad to hear the islands are looking clean and following the no standing water law.

  3. Hi everyone,

Just curious for those currently cruising the Caribbean or recently cruised, how did you find the mosquitoes? Have they been an issue for anyone? Has anyone noticed more than usual? We were on an eastern Caribbean cruise last year and they were no issue at all but I would love some feedback for those cruising this year! Especially after the hurricanes and with power/water issues ongoing.

I am aware Zika is a risk pretty much everywhere however this is part of the reason we choose to cruise, much less risk.

    Thank you!

  4. Hi,

I was reading on the Princess website (2017 terms & conditions) that

    • The package must be purchased by each guest for the whole cruise. Partial or prorated packages or segments will not be accepted. The full amount due for the complete voyage will be charged at the time of purchase.

Does anyone know if this has changed? We were on Carnival last year and we both had to purchase the AIBP. Also - FYI, for anyone not sure yes, there is a 15 drink per day limit.

  5. Hi,

I’m sorry if this is a repeat! Question about going into port...my hubby and I always travel with Bubbas, they are fantastic for water and lemonade and keep the ice all day at the pool and beach. My question is will we be allowed to take these off the ship and into port? Thanks!
