Thank you everyone! I'm leaning toward QOTS, I have to talk to my grandpa and see what he can swing money wise.

As a high school graduation gift, my grandpa is taking me on a cruise the first week of January of my choice. Since he cannot fly, that limits my options very heavily. I think I have narrowed it down between the 8-day on the Quantum with an overnight in San Juan and a day in Labadee and the 10-day on NCL Gem with port days in Tortola, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and San Juan. I will be just shy of 19 yo at the time of cruising. The Quantum is brand new and an incredible ship, but the ports aren't the best and there are very few port days. The Gem is smaller and older with much less to offer than the Quantum ship wise, yet the ports are great. I'm really struggling with which cruise to choose! If anyone could offer any insight, that would be awesome!!! Thanks!

I had 6201 on the breeze- those loungers were still tied up- BUT Iwas able to sit on the top of them and then see over the railing ( while in port, and on sea days if we went slow enough not to blow off!) there was some noise at night from something banging when it was rough - if the seas were calm- no noise and no one around!! great room.

6201 and 6202 Definitely have couches, but i think they may be the only ones.

We went there for lunch on embarkation day- and were the first ones in he book for Christmas eve! Wish we had booked at least one more night. Great service and food, and was totally full when on day three we decided to book another night. You could always cancel that day if you decide not to go, and someone on the waiting list would be happy- so book at least two night !

Thanks for the info on the taxis.
May I ask why you did not like the sea is tour? This is one of the only negative comments I've seen. Thanks

We have been reading about the trouble the taxis stands are giving Seavis tour.... We go in December- Anyone do a Seavis tour lately?
-
Thanks!! He has gotten god reviews on that- nothing negative.

Anyone? Captain Rene is rated highon Trip advisor ( like OP said) but not too much on here. We could take the Carnival Excursion or he can do a priviate tour for about the same...
ARUBA LISA????? Have you head of him?
-
we love to snorkel- been snorkling in st john, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Hawaii, etc.
Would you suggest snorkeling in Grand Turk with a tour that includes "the wall"and another stop or in Aruba ( Antilla and Catalina)???
Can't decide- and not sure we can fork over the 60 bucks per person ( 4 of us) for each port..

I also have 15 and 17 year old girls going on the Breeze 8 day cruise in December. How did your girls like the club? Do they have anything to add from the teens perspective??

Hubby doesn't like to dress up so I went the little black dress route...here are mine:
I absolutely love that black dress! Where did you get it?!
-
OMG! thank you so much! they are both stunning but the second one is TO DIE FOR. thank you so much!;)
-
Also, anyone know a great pair of wedge sandals?
-
I don't have any full length dresses, but this year for my birthday cruise I would love a beautiful floor length dress that won't break the bank. Where to look?!
My dream is a navy blue halter top dress with rhinestone straps!

Thank you so much everyone for the advice! I'm thinking that the Quantum would have more things for me to do as a young adult so I'm leaning toward that one. Have to talk to my grandpa and see what he can swing though!
