    New menu on Oasis of the Seas

    Hey everyone,

     

    Got off of the June 25th sailing a few days ago. During our sailing they told us this was the second week of their new menu.

     

    I didn't take a picture of the first night's menu, since they told us this on the second night. They said that a few of the Miami HQ chefs were onboard making sure that everything went smoothly.

     

    Please see the attached pictures for the dinner menus from days 2-7. (which were given to us out of order)

     

    The overall consensus from our group is that either the food is really bland or really salty! There were a few really good things, such as the prime rib, and the crispy coconut shrimp (our fav by far).

     

    The menu actually did change at some points too.

    Hi there,

    There are already 6 of us that would like to go as they usually give you 2-4-1 on the first night if you are in the Blu Restaurant. It is too hectic for them and they would rather have good comments so it works out for us and them.

    If this is the case, would you like to join in and have fun. If you don't know the restaurant, go and ck it out at the website. Everyone picks a different food and we share. It is really fun if you are a foodie.

    Hello everyone! Anthony here and my partner Robert along with my parents will be on this cruise!

     

    Seems like I already met Jon Alone and also MUST have met Michael and Matt since I was also on the Equinox TA in May '11!

     

    This is going to be a LOOOONG trip for Robert and I; we are doing a 7 Night Caribbean cruise pre-Silhouette, followed by a 3 night stay in Rome, then on to Venice for a 2 night pre-cruise stay, then a 7 Night Greek Islands cruise!! So a 3 cruise trip and we'll be away 40 nights!!!!

     

    I'm just starting to plan everything, so if anyone wants to join in on private tours, please let me know.

    That would be great to do a tour or two together. We are still deciding if we'll get off in Naples or go all the way to Rome to do a tour and then stay a night or two before taking the train back to Naples.

    You are no stranger to cruising I see. My 50th birthday is next year, was thinking of a Mediterranean Cruise in combination with a week or two in Italy. So many options, do you have any experience sailing the Mediterranean, if so any recommendations? Cheers.

     

    Celebrity Silhouette TA is our first TA but I am really looking and booking all these wonderful tours. We will be in Rome for 3 extra days. I have never been to any of the places on the itinerary or Europe except Israel.

    I look at the roll calls everyday. It would be nice to meet some of you on our cruises. We usually meet one or two male couple, which is wonderful but the women seem to stay to themselves or are closeted. Just my opinion of what we have encountered in 25 years of cruising 18 times.

    Hope we can meet up sometime. We are from South Florida by way of Brooklyn,NY.

    It seems that all you gals and guys cruise Carnival and Princess for the most part.

    We are going on December 12,2013 for a relaxing 4 night on Royal/Brilliance of the Seas. Come join or join us April 20,2014 for a TA from Fort Lauderdale to Civitevechia Rome with 6 pots for a total of 16 days.

    My gf wears a suit on the first formal night, and a button-down shirt with a tie and slacks on the second formal night.

     

    People dress however they want today, just not shorts and tank top in the dining room.

    As for Formal, hardly anyone wears gowns anymore and you won't catch me in a dress. Black slacks and a dressy shirt that complements your partner is great. You don't have to be a dyke to not want to wear the so called "girls clothes". I hated them since I am 4. Just be comfortable and enjoy.🌹
