November 29 2023 Uber from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Hyatt Place was $14,93 before tip. Next day we took UBER XL to Port Everglades Terminal 25 for $16 before tip.
-
The shuttle now costs $8 p.p. Uber is cheaper. To the port it is $9 p.p. Taxi or Uber cheaper.

I checked both of us in on the website for a November cruise, yesterday Friday, no problems at all.

I'm not sure the Mexican night is "gone gone". When I was on Anthem at the end of April, they said at Captain's Corner that there were several different menu rotations depending on where a ship is sailing. It would make sense to me that the Mexican night still exists on itineraries that go to Mexico but not so much on European or Alaskan cruises, for example.
But I do agree with you that the tweaks seem to indicate at least some kind of attention is being paid by Royal to customers' feedback.
Just disembarked Jewel yesterday. We had Mexican night and the food was very good, loved the Poblano Pepper soup and Carne Asada, Salmon was also very good. Did not care for the desserts.

Loved the poblano pepper soup and carne asada on Symphony, it was delicious!

is the Hibachi lunch and dinner the same experience? They seem to have the same menu.
We did both dinner and lunch. The lunch has the same menu and costs less, if I am not mistaken $34,99.

We have been on Symphony for a few weeks now and internet connection has been spotty, unreliable and slow more than often. Do not see any improvement over the old Voom. Tomorrow we will start the Transatlantic. Do not feel very confident after the past weeks experience.

What time did they start letting people off the ship?
It was before 07.00 am

We disembarked at 08.30. At that time they had called all numbers but there were long lines when we got out of the elevator. Did not have a flight. But if you have a flight leaving from Schiphol, disembark as soon as possible and get early to the airport. Schiphol has become a real mess.

What time do you have to be off the ship in Amsterdam now, does anyone know? Did that change?
You disembark in the morning. We were on the July 26 Arctic Circle cruise and arrived back in Amsterdam on Saturday evening and disembarked on Sunday, yesterday. Had a really wonderful time on the Jewel!

My experience was, after 2 cruises on Jewel, 2 on Symphony, they were only looking and asking for the word “ Negative” on my phone. Even going from ship to ship and back. All other tests were done on board. By the way, they were testing at both Miami Terminals. This Sunday the testing man at Terminal G was taking a nap during the wait for clients, the woman at the table busy with her phone, as it was so quiet, I sat nearby for an hour waiting to be picked up while the new guests were dropped off.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I managed to push through on the Nomi health booking for MIA, but under the mandatory airline info section, the only departure airport listed in the dropdown is MIA and there's a checkbox to confirm I'm happy for my test results to be passed onto my airline so they can decide whether to let me board or not... so I'm sceptical on whether I'll be allowed to use the service or not as an arrival.
On the guest dashboard I'm also only able to book up to four days in advance so I'm still a little wary and would ideally find another clinic downtown somewhere if there are any suggestions? Just as a backup.
I did enquire about whether a test carried out at Heathrow would be acceptable as it was carried out in the UK and was told via RCI live chat that the test would need to be carried out within the 48 hours before boarding and unfortunately my flight falls outside this window. @smally I'd double check that one to be safe before you go
We got tested (Antigen)at Schiphol Airport Netherlands at local time 7.00 am Saturday and boarded Jewel of the Seas Monday at 12 noon. Test was accepted. So you should be good to go if you do test in Heathrow two days before departure.

For LHR and MAN these are scheduled flights with different airlines, typically BA, AA and AC, with the RCI's Air to Sea program.
You can check this out with the following link to RCI website. Select "I'm just browsing for now" if you don't have a cruise reservation currently.
Air2Sea website does not work. Has not worked for 4-5 weeks. Not with a reservation number as you can not select a ship or sailing date, you keep getting vSelect. And just browsing is also impossible, searching with Just browsing gets you this:
Sorry! Our services are down
Please try again later

We are currently on the Symphony and going to Jewel in two days. We get Covid testing on board tomorrow morning. Plus transportation to Jewel.

I was looking at flights on the Air2Sea website and had to use the incognito website or I couldn't get my flight to load. I found that after you fill in all of the appropriate information, you are able to change the dates, but only after the flights load on the screen. We always fly in a day or 2 before our cruise also. I hope this works for you 🙂
Please help! What is the incognito website and how do I get access? Can not look up any flights. It is even impossible to choose ship and sailing date.😡 .Thanks in advance.

Same problem here and we'll be flying in two days before the cruise so our window is very tight.
I was recommended to visit one of the 24hr testing sites on arrival in Miami such as Tropical Park but I'm concerned about the rules for non-residents and whether they'll affect us.
If anyone has been through the process from the UK already, I'm all ears!
We are flying in on Saturday from the Netherlands to get on Jewel of the Seas on Monday. We plan to do a rapid Antigen test with Nomi Health on arrival at Miami International Airport. They are open till 9 pm. I called them and they said we could walk in and wait for our turn. They are located at the SouthTerminal H, Departures level, Door 20. Cost for the Antigen test is $79.

We did not get an email from Royal Caribbean. Were informed by our travel agent. Really upset because we had a B2B Allure 8 night April 16/ April 24 14 nights.
Royal Caribbean offers Wonder for April 20, 4 days earlier. They say same itinerary.
and for the 8 night April 16 they offer, with price protection!! and $50 OBC, a 6 night sailing on Allure that will arrive two days later than our transatlantic on Wonder has left. How do they think this is going to work?😡

Rumors are they are starting the Grease trials next week. This week 1887 the ice show started up but was fully booked right away.

Thank you so much for continuing to post. We are set to sail from Barcelona Sept 19th. Not at all the cruise we booked, but with the price we spent for our airfare we are reluctant to cancel. Our air credit would have to be used by Feb 8th, and we are not sure we could use it as we have all of our time/trips between now and then booked. We do still have jobs!. Part of me thinks if this is just going to be a cruise to nowhere, we should get on a different ship. (We are from Colorado, USA)
Well in Palma de Mallorca you are free to wander on your own. For the three Italian ports at this time ship tours are required. You are not supposed to leave the bubble. For this week the following tours were offered with 50% discount:
La Spezia:
Pisa and Lucca country
Pisa by Trolley
Civitavecchia:
A taste of Rome: Roman Forum, Trevi & St Peter’s Basilica
Italian Countryside and Olive Oil tasting
Naples:
Sorrento & Amalfi Drive
Leisurely Sorrento
We do not consider this a cruise to nowhere but a unique experience and we have never been more pampered on any ship than on this one. Crew is so happy to have us back that they do not know what to do to make us happier. For me this is a cruise of a life time because of the special circumstances we are all facing and the way we are being treated. Never felt so safe since the beginning of the pandemic than on the Harmony. Also the boarding process in Barcelona and the set up for testing was great. Go enjoy your cruise on this amazing ship!

Tour buses left in time. No delays. Around 400 new passengers getting on today in Civitavecchia. Among them many Brits we heard. So far this cruise has mostly Spanish people, all well behaved, especially the children, as small as they are they wear facemasks. Everyone wears their facemasks as required. With so little passengers nothing is crowded, no wait times at elevators etc. It is sheer heaven.

They were testing everyone on the ship tours with enormous delays in the morning. Not just Americans. And while leaving the ship facemasks had to be changed to KN95/FFP2 which Royal provided.
The day before everyone had to fill in the PLF for Italy, then when we arrived in La Spezia they demanded an Antigen test before letting anyone off. They set up a testing centre in the Conference Center our friends who were on a tour told us. Royal has Eurofins on board to do the tests. We just docked in Civitavecchia. Let’s see how this day goes. We are staying on board and having a wonderful time being spoiled by a wonderful crew.

On Equinox last November we had activated our free minutes first and were not able to activate our purchased Wifi package. So we went to the IT man and he closed off the free minutes and then activated our package, he said we would not be able to use the free Captain’s Club minutes. Do not understand how other people can make that work.
