I am sorry I have to disagree on the room. A GS is about 100 ft.² larger than a JS. Because you’re going to have about four people in the room you will need that extra space. The balcony is also larger. More people will be able to sit outside with ease. If you can really do it I would go with the GS instead, but I would agree with others that say once you have a larger suite sometimes it is harder to go to smaller one. We started out in an interior then a balcony then JS.
Because it is your first cruise with RCI you will have a great time. Speak to your room attendant when you get in and talk to him for a few minutes to let him know how you want things set up in the room. With the GPS you could have the couch bed set up and still get to the balcony. If you decide not to go with the GS you may look into the Soda refreshment plan, that may be a cool thing to do.

They provide toiletries in EVERY cabin. In JS you have slightly better ones. If your cabin room attendant comes every day yes they will give you new Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in your bathroom. You’ll have to bring your own toilet paper 😜, just kidding. All will be provided for you if you asked for it.

It is the second formal night. Unless you give us a specific itinerary we cannot give you a specific answer on what day

It was in your account you should have able to see the names on the booking. The wrong crown and anchor number would’ve been my guess.

We are scheduled to go on a cruise in a few weeks the 29th to be exact. I plan to get everything together then drop 1/3 of it. As some clothes you can re-wear. The only person who will know you rewore them are you and photographer if they happen to catch you. As a guy I had brought different ties and two different jackets and three shirts for the entire time.

You can ask on the ship
-
It depends on if you have selected that option under your RC preferences. Before you could set Yourself. Now you have to call RC and have them set your preferences.

I'm going to be diamond after my upcoming October cruise. In preparation, I've purchased:
- Top hat
- Monocle
- Swagger stick
- Cardboard backing to predominately display my pin without wrinkling my lapel
- An ****load of lanyards with clear SeaPass holders
Anything I'm missing?
Baby elephants to ride on.

Pre-cruise is always best, depending on your trip you may find great deals. Just book and check back to see if price drops.

Liberty was my first ship. It is a nice "starter" ship. :) Even though we no longer cruise Carnival, i felt it was geared for younger crowds. More fun stuff, not to say RC doesn't have fun things. RC has lots to do, just checkout the Compass for a list of stuff. Someone here has a current one. RC i think is more relaxed. i just say go in with an open mind.

bathroom dont have a step, doors are wider

From our experience TAs get "blocks" of rooms at discount. The larger the agency the better the deals they can pass along. This includes, OBC, Spa treatment, 1-2 free Dinners and more.

How many JS are left? you could switch to a suite Guarantee and try your luck, at min you would have a JS, which you have now.

We dropped our rental off and called an Uber as i had a scooter. You can "walk" as it is about 1/2 mile to ship. There were taxi and uber pools at the rental office but they filled up fast. Like Bob said call an Uber, it will give you peace of mind.

As bob said, the ship doesn’t normally go that way. I would bring a long lens camera and go top desk. Our Anthem trip in January the Captain took us up as the ship was special. We stopped in FL 2 times for some special event.
-
Tipping is 14.50pp per day, unless you are in a suite, then 17.50pp. We add to overall bill. Shuttles are not included.
You didn’t say which ship as I can’t find a 3 day cruise.

Once onboard head to CK and setup for the week. It can’t be done online(we could not 3 months ago), it may have changed.
-
CK is more relaxed. It doesnt feel rushed. Our waiter had time to "chat" with us a lot more. Since it is a smaller area, you get to chat with otherr people. I dont think we set foot in the MDR for dinner on our last one.

Yes Bob just for entering
-
That app is for when you come back. It doesn't care about the trip, just how you plan to enter AFTER trip is over. Yes, app is secure. you enter your passport info, take a selfie. for now it is just terminals in app that use mobilepass.

Hi my name is Aadam, i am a CruiseAholic. i will do 2 this year. I want to stop, but it is hard.

Not sure what you are asking, but will take a stab at it. Some piers have carts from boat to end of dock, but that is it. Now that I think I have seen carts in shopping ports but I had my scooter and didn’t think about if they were for rent.
I get a scooter and it gets me around. It is small and can be broken down for trunk of cars. Special needs at sea is what we use. It fits most rooms and 2 might take up some space.
-
As others have said ask about perks next time. We cruise 1-2 times a year and every other year we go BIG. Our TA knows this and we always get something. Free specialty restaurant, OBC and free spa treatment. Next time ask around.
This is a learning experience

As someone who has been on Anthem, Allure and Oasis it will be a challenge for him. I use a scooter as I have had spinal surgery and can no longer walk far without resting. Since this is his first time, I would get it just in case. He will need to practice using it though. The ships are BIGGER than people think. As to the elevator issue just be forceful. My wife blocks people from getting in front of me as some don’t care. Most are considerate, small kids and teenagers not so much. But I digress. It will fit in the room, the stateroom attendant will fix bed placement. It will be better to have and not use than for him to be tired and not be able to get around.
GS vs KEY on Mariner?

Yes that is typical for the prices. Generally we split it among other people who go on the cruise with us as that brings the price down per person but if it’s just the four of you then that may be a lot.
