My concern waiting for a private taxi is that our plane leaves at 9:00 am, which means we will have to leave the port around 6:00 am at the latest, and I wondered if taxi's we be available that early?

To Danish Viking and/or anyone else with knowledge about Copenhagen:
My husband and I will be in port in Copenhagen for one evening and a full day on the Viking Star the first couple days of April. The cruise includes a three hour walking tour for the morning and then we will be free for the entire afternoon and evening. Suggestions for what we should do such as Viking Museum or food tour....is there a hop on hop off bus and is it worthwhile? Restaurant suggestions? It sounds in reading the various comments that taxis may be hard to access so assuming Viking Cruises will have shuttle bus or give us information on how to get around.
Also our plane leaves at 9:00 am the next day. Suggestions for transportation to the airport? We are willing to hire a private car if necessary so any recommendations would be appreciated.

For the cruise on Sky I'm taking upcoming November it is $109 per person.

My husband and I are taking a Viking City of Antiquity tour Cruise in November and will be arriving three days ahead to spend more time in Athens. We would like suggestions for a nice hotel in a good location for walking to nearby sites and restaurants. The hotel doesn't have to be high end but clean, quiet, helpful staff. We would also like to have a private tour, it can be a van tour, and possibly venture outside the City of Athens for a day.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Is there a drycleaning service on the Viking Star? If so has anyone used it? What are the prices like and how long does it take? I want to pack light but some of my clothes are dryclean only.

We along with at least two other couples will be on Bayeux Shuttle. Check it out. http://www.bayeuxshuttle.com/
Be sure and sign up for Meet and Mingle

We do have a roll call but it's a bit confusing because of how it is labeled. Hope this helps. Make sure you sign up for meet and mingle.
Not sure what to tell you on sold out tours except to contact Viking and let them know your concerns.
Viking Star Scandinavia to Spain cruise - April 22 2016 from Barcelona"

Hope they have them on the Star by April 22 when I am cruising out of Barcelona. Anyone out there interested in playing Majong let me know.

Has anyone taken a Viking Star or other Viking Ocean Ship D-Day excursion from either the Cherbourg or Le Havre ports? I know that Cherbourg is closer but when I looked at the excursion narrative it looks like you mostly see the sites from a bus. The Le Havre trip takes longer but involves more stops at places I wish to see. I also am exploring a private tour but it's very expensive and requires others to participate to make it reasonable.
FYI I did look under the port section of the boards but didn't find information relevant to Viking Ocean Cruises.

What is the Viking Ocean Cruise policy on bringing your own wine upon embarkation and from the various ports?

I don't have no reason cancel and I need to be back home when the cruise is over so I'll have to return from Bergen. It looked like I could come back from Bergen using Delta but I will look again. Thanks for the help.

In a little more than six months I will be taking the Viking Star from Barcelona to Bergen. I haven't arranged my airline reservations because I wasn't sure when I would be arriving in Barcelona. I've made the decision now the question is should I go through Viking or arrange on my own?
How hard is it to fly out of Bergen?

Thanks for your help. I had trouble getting the PDF but it doesn't really matter as I am taking the 2017 cruise. I guess at this point I just have to wait and see what happens.
Also as neither London nor Paris are ocean ports I realized we were not going to stop at either and visiting them would require a long excursion.

Yes, I checked the website again and still no change in pre and post tour though once you actually go to the links it is straightened out.
Still not sure my question entirely answered, which is what is to stop Viking from making the same changes for next year?

I am an infrequent cruiser but was intrigued by the Viking Star Cruise Passage to Western Europe as the advertised itinerary indicates several stops in Spain and Portugal and then on to France, UK, Norway. It is hard to find south-north cruises, which is why I booked this for April 22, 2017. Now I've been reading that in fact there are four days at sea when the advertised itinerary has two days at sea. If this is the case I am wondering what to do? Do I contact my travel agent or Viking to determine the real itinerary? If it is in fact four days how should I proceed given the trip is already paid for?

I am finding it a challenge to compare cruises for the Western Mediterranean. Some cruises include wireless, beverages, excursions etc. and others don't. Is there anyway to quickly compare what is included so that I better understand any hidden expenses?
Just curious if anyone's canceled
in Viking Ocean

I am scheduled to take a Viking Ocean cruise in Europe in a couple of weeks. I am just curious if anyone's cancelled their cruise and if they canceled through their travel agent or called Viking directly. How was your experience canceling?
