  1. Hi Lizord - Thank you so much !

So they do close, thats a bummer. What would you do if its like 10 pm and your kids are hungry/want a late night snack? I guess theres other areas in the boat ?

thats good they have video games, Do you know if they have Xbox?

Thanks for the clarification, you are right. I misread about the Soda.

How were the snacks? Pre -packaged or like a dish of cookies out?

Does it get crowded? And do you find yourself actually taking advantage of it?

Sorry for the questions , but really appreciate your feedback. I may be overthinking everything but just wanted to see if I should stay in this class or just go to regular ocean/balcony....

Thanks again, also please please please.. Enjoy your cruise! Have a wonderful and safe trip!

  2. Hi All
Booking an upcoming sailing on Mardi Gras in Family Harbor Room

Was reading a few reviews and have some concerns lol... was wondering what your experience was recently and anything impacted due to COVID related rules?

One review was concerning in which it mention the lounge was only open certain times of the day (corresponding to just meal times) , no games , no treats, no free soda, no snacks... I mean the more I read it, the more I was wondering what the purpose of the lounge was.

With that said, not sure if that was a one off or if you had a better experience. I have a 7 and 9 year old, were not picky but for late nights or quick snack, it would be worth it. My son is big into Xbox (fortnite), doubt they would have that there.

Appreciate any insight, thoughts, or experiences you had.

With that said, Happy Sailing and lets all hope for a better 2022!

  4. How did you get back to the airport after the cruise? It's my understanding that Uber will not pick up in Galveston. Thanks!

That's a good point , i always though Uber could pick up as long as it's from the regular drop offs and pickup where non commercial cars would be ( i.e. Where your parents or friends would drop/pick up)

    Does anyone know ? Thanks

  5. Just wondering how Houston and Galveston is during October ? I have a sailing late in October on Liberty ... traveling w wife and 3 and 5 years old

Planning to arrive a day or two earlier if there's things to do . Where would you stay ? Which would be ideal for the kiddies? I'm concerned about places being closed late in season ? Appreciate your feedback and suggestions ( in advance )

    Thanks ! =)

  6. The funny thing is that according to MSC, the 14001 suite is bigger and sleeps 4, but the smaller 13001 and 10001 suites sleeps 5... I think it sounded a bit strange, so I'm exited to see how the interior of the suites will look like when it's done.

I was told the same thing by MSC----

  7. Just wanted to add some input to this convo..

    1) MSC is very frustrating just because... like you, it seems that alot of the information is not accurate

    2) I was booked originally for 13001 ... in which a MSC rep stated that was slated for (5)

    3) I then look at the deckplans, call back and another MSC rep stated thats not true. There are others available, she gave me 11001 and 90001 . So I asked which cabin was bigger ( interior wise ) - she did some research, she looked at something on her computer saying she has the exact sq footage and told me that 11001 is indeed bigger . ( 527 Sq Ft )

    4) she also advised that as the floors get lower, naturally the cabins will get bigger since the end of the cabins ( towards ) balcony area slopes towards front of the ship. Based on the deckplan, this seems to be the case ( kind of ... )

She seemed very confident in her suggestions, so much that she actually said - you should take 11001 vs 13001, it would have more space for your party of 5. But reading above, and reading something that I saw on cruisedeckplans.com ... it states

"Forward Grand Suites located in the middle are longer with a second bath with toilet and shower and a second bedroom with two twins that can be joined as double. There will also be a glass enclosed porch on the deck to protect against wind while ship is moving forward. These suites vary in size but average reported size is 398 square feet with 200 square foot balcony area. Cabins 11001 and 14001 are the smallest. Cabins 10001 and 13001 are largest and sleep 5."

Based on above, cabin 10001 and 13001 are the largest and sleep 5, I have to assume they are referencing the inside. ( unless someone plans to sleep on the balcony =)

Anyways, Im going to ask again and share.. but I agree, something just isnt right.

    C
