We were actually on the Sky (with this same friend) a couple years ago. We just couldn't remember which night the White Hot Party was and none of us saved our Daily papers to refresh our memories of what/when things were happening onboard.

We had a great time back then. We partied very late at the White Hot party and didn't have any problem with entertainment on the other 2 nights. I know we spent a lot of time at the pool bar and enjoyed it there.

Back then it was just us, our friend and his girlfriend (wife-to-be on this cruise). This time there will be about 35 of us. We will have our kids with us and so will some of the others...which is another reason to try and have some idea of when we want to do things.

What happens when he starts planning things and the Cruise

Director changes the schedule?

I'm guessing being on a cruise, with his closest family members and best friends, celebrating his wedding with his beautiful new wife, will probably go a long way to smooth over any changes the cruise director makes. lol.... Plus, he is about the furthest thing from Type A.

I think he just wants a general idea of what is typically offered. Aside from the wedding itself (which takes place before we board), the first dinner that we are all having together onboard (already booked), the white hot party, a lunch already scheduled/reserved at Senior Frogs, and a loosely planned 'pub crawl' the plan is to pretty much all do our own thing and meet up as it works out. Finding out some of the other offerings ahead of time is just exciting and lets him kind of see who is interested in what. I know we are all planning on the white hot party (nice to know it's night 2) and we talked about the Newlywed game, etc.

CruisinCrow... If you could bring back the Daily from each day, that would be great!!! Thank you.. My friend is trying to plan things for 35 people and it would be a huge help to him if he knew some of the scheduled events ahead of time. We cruise on Oct 7.

We are going as part of a group, with a friend for his wedding. He is very interested in when certain things are taking place because he is planning events for everyone around these things.

Is there a deck party on the other night?

Do you think this will be affected by the switch to Grand Bahama on our cruise...instead of the private island?

Hi there,

We're considering sailing on the Breakaway out of NYC in March. I'm concerned about the weather. The itinerary really doesn't excite us. We'd choose this cruise more due to ease of getting there and to enjoy the ship. My concern is that 2 of the sea days are the first and last day...which means North-East US weather (cold). How severely will this impact what we can do onboard. Obviously my kids (5 of them ranging from 8-19) won't be doing waterslides in 40 degree weather. What abou the other things - the ropes course, plank, mini-golf, etc. Is there enough to do that won't be impacted by cold temps?

Also...for anyone that has stopped at Port Canaveral as a cruise stop... Did you go to Disney/Universal? Was it worth it for the amount of time you get?

I am trying to find out what the themes for any adult parties and/or deck parties on the Sunshine. If you could post that, I would really appreciate it. DH and I are going with 2 other couples and all leaving our kids home....and we'd like to be prepared for any themes. Also...any wine/beer/whiskey/etc tastings?

I was hoping someone could tell me the adult party themes on the Carnival Sunshine? My DH and I are going on this ship in July with 2 other couples and we'd like to come prepared for the themes. Also, does this ship offer wine/beer/whiskey/etc tastings?

One last thing... we go to the private island, Freeport and Nassau. For the most part, we want to keep costs way down. We're just looking for a nice place/beach to chill, have a few drinks and enjoy some fairly peaceful time in the water. Any suggestions?...especially for Freeport and the private island.

I can get a 12:15pm direct flight out of FT Lauderdale. If I don't take that flight, I can't get another one until after 3pm (and it is not direct).

Do you think we will be ok with this? I know it's almost an hour to Ft. Lauderdale. I wouldn't mind carrying our bags off, but we are travelling with another couple...I'm sure they'd do it if they had to.

The Sky is out of Miami. What time can I book our flight home from the Sky if we are flying home out of Ft Lauderdale? We will have a private transfer to the airport. I don't mind getting off early, but I'd prefer not to carry off all our luggage (but might consider it).
