  1. We just got back and had the BEST time!!! David was our tour guide and it was just my husband, BFF and my self. We had a very CRAZy drive out of the city! David was a great guide and full of knowledge. The walk through the jungle was very easy and pretty neat learning about the local plants.

Our little group hiked farther up the trail than the cruise tours and we even floated farther then the cruise tours. We stopped at Cheers for lunch and had plenty of time to tender back to the ship.

BOOK with DAVID you will have a great time!!

  2. Get away from the cruise terminal and rent a Golf Cart from Nathan! We had a blast and the island is really tiny so we were able to drive all around in a couple of hours. No way to really get lost. Plenty of local shopping and eating. The lighthouse was beautiful and plenty of pictures to take. After we saw the island we had plenty of time for snorkeling on the beach before we had to leave this beautiful place.

Get away from the crowds! Enjoy!!:D

  3. We will be setting sail in 11 more days!!! Im wondering if the ships at Port of Miami sound their horns like they do at Port Everglades.

I absolutely love hearing them on the webcams and will be on the beach Friday as they sail away. My cruise is the next day out of Miami and Im really hoping that the ships make some noise heading out or passing one another going into the turn basin.

  4. YES! I just called Carnival and they could have moved us to mid ship and higher floor. Unfortunately we choose to stay where we were due to the fact that all 3 cabins could not be moved to the same area. We would have been really far from eachother and thats not what we want. We are perfectly happy with what we first chose but we could have gotten the upgrades if we werent so picky.

  5. We bring ours in a small rolling carry on suitcase just in case they are opened and no tape is available. Easy to roll 2 cases around until our cabin is ready.

I drink Caffeine free Coke and have yet to find it on board. So a quick stop at a store before we board and Im happy all week. My husband also like Mt Dew and that isn't always onboard either.

We have even bought a 2 liter bottle at our last port because we knew we wouldn't finish a case and didn't want to fly it home with us. No problems getting back on the ship with that.:D

  6. I started all the online check in for my group of family (lives in other states as well) since I booked the cruise and had all the booking numbers already. I only needed their credit card numbers and passport number to complete it. A simple call and we were all checked in!

So you can do it any way. They can register and do it themselves , check in at the port or you fill all the info for them.

  7. We had an early flight and got to the port by 9am. We were able to check in at the Queen Mary and received Zone 1. We sat in the area closest to the boarding doors and enjoyed the music that was playing and people watched. Once the weddings and VIP were on it was our turn. We were on the ship by 11:15. Seemed like we were the first 100 on board!

No need for FTTF in Long Beach if you arrive early to the port, in my opinion.

    Enjoy your cruise!!

  8. We were on the Inspiration for my birthday in Oct. I always get a kick out of the people walking around deck in bath robes. Wondering if they have undies or swim suits on. I hope so!!:o

On this ship, the balcony rooms are above a public walking deck. While we were out on this deck enjoying the view, I heard a cabin door open above us and an older man came out to smoke but didnt realize that we could see EVERYTHING  under his robe. Any time I talked to my husband, I had this view in my sight unless I kept looking out to sea. I couldnt stop laughing!

Please men, while sitting in your robes on your balcony keep in mind that the lower deck jets out and your hanging fruits are on display for all who are walking below.

  9. Thank you for the posts! We will be there in March. I did read in one of the reviews that a van picked you up and dropped you off in port? My mom and grandma will be with us and that would be very helpful if they would pick them up. Anyone know if it was a request or standard practice?
