  1. Decided to move our  2020 Riviera Enchanting Rhine Yuletime markets cruise until 2021. Very easy to do and at the moment Riviera still has all their itineraries for 2020 still listed. Not sure when they will decide to “ pull the plug”. However they were very easy to work with and no pressure to pay in full or any price increase.

Hoping my dealings with Lufthansa will be equally pleasant.

  2. Notamermaid.. thank you for your insight. Even if we could make it to Koblenz that would be a win is this case. Yes Riviera does not have much of a presence on the boards.. however she does have several ships. They do have some 110m ships.. however they might be committed to another cruise or on the Danube. My sister and I still plan on going.. can’t speak for our 3rd travel partner. So hopefully more rain will come to the region. I know the locals have been greatly effective and business have suffered losses and jobs. I will keep monitoring this site

    Thank you again😊

yes I did see the Emily Bronte had relocated to Passau after being in Rotterdam for several days. They do have some 110m ships ..like the Jane Austen. Maybe a different ship!!

  3. Hi ... I have been following this thread for awhile. I must say the networking of fellow travelers has been great. Myself I have an upcoming Christmas market cruise with Riviera. The Emily Bronte on the Rhine December 15th-19th. I won’t lie... I’m very concerned 🙁. I have seen how other cruise line have risen to the challenge and others have completely shucked their responsibility. I am reaching out to get feed back from travelers that have had experience with Riviera. I have seen one thread .. that one was from the Danube. That information stated that Riviera cancels 7 days out.. with no modifications🙁. I would rather use the ship as a base and work from there. The cruise is short compared to 8 day cruises I have experienced in the past. Cologne to as far as Rudesheim then back to Cologne.. is what is on the itinerary. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks

  4. We just got back from the Springtime, Tulips and the Rhein cruise on the River Ambassador Uniworld. The weather was picture perfect!!! I did get a little warm. However cruising thru the Rhein valley was sunny & cool but the view was beautiful. The flowers & tulips at the Kuekenhof gardens were beautiful. Hope you have great weather like we did and enjoy your river cruise!!:)
