Hi Rick - I'm not too worried about reservations on this one - people have been saying it's usually only half full. But, since I've never been on the Epic before, we did make reservations for Blue Man & Cirque (although damned if I remember which nights!).

My partner and I will be in Barcelona for a week after the cruise!

I would think that 5 or 5:30 would be a much smarter time to do the FOD gatherings, personally! That's when Princess usually does them. Gives you a chance to find a relatively quiet bar and make friends with a lonely bartender! And gives people time to chat and still make it to shows and dinner dates.

Sounds good!! We are planning to do the FOD events because the bf has never gone before and likes to meet new people.

We usually go to those, although frequently we're the only women there. But we get along really well with the guys most of the time. Should be a great cruise! I met someone who was on the one last year who said there were at least 150 LGBT folks onboard - woo hoo! :-)
