  1. Well it’s been interesting to read all the replies, as it’s still over 2 years to go to the cruises I have been looking at I’m going to wait until June my next cruise and see if they are offering anything if not probably wait until next year but I will keep an eye on the prices. Never booked at the last minute as we like to pick our cabin but thanks all for the information.

A bright and breezy day here but mild. Time to batten down the hatches once more.

@Beckett You are always there to help others Jane. I remember clearly that you began posting to help during covid and were one of the most helpful posters to us all. You me me me all you want, it's our turn now😊

I've been browsing through some cruises recently and I wondered if anyone had some travel insurance companies they could recommend. I've not needed help before, but since Frank's hospital stay I know it will be much more expensive and probably more trip wires too😉

    I welcome any help.

I use All Clear used them for years now find them very good and cover most medical problems, I think at the moment they are offering 20% off so perhaps worth getting a quote.

Well, what a day I've had! Just got back from the hozzie (thanks Kalos - love that word) where I've been since midday.

Very long story short, I was out for a walk with Ted. It started to rain and I took a tumble down some steps which were very slippery. I landed firstly on my back then my head hit another step - out cold. Fortunately, a lady I know was also out walking and saw it happen. She called for an ambulance and when I came round I was very sick and dizzy. Ambo came quickly and they decided I should go in because I'd lost consciousness. The ambo drivers were so sweet and kind. They drove me home to drop Ted off with my neighbour then took me off to A&E.

OMG the A&E was rammed. I've had CT scans of back and head- nothing fractured thank goodness. Five stitches in my head and thumping headache later I was discharged at 10pm. A&E still rammed.

I've come home with a massive bandage around my head and my granddaughters, very unkindly I thought, said I looked like a Smurf!

    I've had better days!!!

    Sleep well everyone.

    Jane xx

Well I went to visit my mum this afternoon and they were just preparing her ready to have her pacemaker fitted. I certainly wasn’t expecting that but very pleased it was been done today.

I have just spoken to the ward, she’s just got back onto the ward and she seems fine. I am relieved!!! She should be home tomorrow.

    Michelle

That good news and a relief for you.
