I am only replying to complain that we didn't have Choas in the MDR on any of our cruises !!!!
If somebody else got Choas then I am entitled to Choas and if I don't
get Choas I want some onboard credit or free chocolate covered strawberries.
Or a free drink or something else really valuable and free to me.
I I don't get Im going to Guest Services and creating CHAOS !
actually Ive only done my time dining once and we had reservations for same time every night, with same table and same waiters. felt like traditional dining to me .

Is Sabor the same price for lunch as it is for supper?
i believe Sabor at lunch is less than supper. Pretty sure of that

take heart cruisers, (or worry even more)
it's not just cruisers.
on the train from Anchorage Alaska to Talkeetna a passenger said
and i quote,
" I wish they would cut some of these trees down so we would have a better view".

Thanks OP

Currently, Liberty has two lounges:
Diamond Lounge: for Diamond level and higher C&A members.
Suite Lounge: for guests in GS or better staterooms, and Diamond Plus and higher C&A members.
There have been reports that the Suite Lounge will be eliminating the Diamond Plus access soon, but nothing official from Royal yet.
Thanks for the info, I have no idea what's available since we are just Gold C&A members.
It's going to be awhile before they teach me the secret handshake and passwords that allow access into those lounges.
Until then I just buy a drink package !

On the Navigator on the last sea day they had a tour of the galley, from a waiters point of view with a fabulous lunch after the tour. All the specialty restaurants cooked dishes and the desserts were to die for. It was $35 and the head waiter started "selling" it middle of the cruise at dinner. Do you know if they offer this on the Liberty? I would do this again in a heart beat!
i do not know if this is offered on Liberty, sorry.

Are the patties available with the port "compound" or do you have to go outside of the port area? Love Jamaican patties!!
Thanks for the trip report! Fun cruise!
they were available inside the "compound", there is a booth that has signs so Im pretty sure you won't miss it.

Some people state on the Mystic Mountain tour you have to eat at their restaurant and this takes 2 hours. Can you confirm?
We did not eat at the restaurant, it is not included in price and we didn't want to eat before we ziplined and afterwards there wasn't enough time.
There is some time wasted waiting for your turn to zipline and standing in line for the bobsled ride. It depends on how many people are there.
We could have eaten at the restaurant and the food looked good and several of our fellow excursioners did eat and enjoyed but NO you do not have to. It's a pretty long day without eating though and as soon as we got back to the port area we had some Jamaican patties because we were hungry. Next time we will eat at the restaurant.

Thanks for the great review.
Just wondering if you heard any stair/elevator traffic noise in your cabin?
Thanks!
We heard some, not enough to bother us because we came in late every night.
Coming back to the room during the day we occasionally had to ask people to move so we could get to our door. Our room, being right at the hall/elevator entrance is apparently a great place to have discussions before people would go their separate ways. Never a problem but something we noticed. . Luckily we are both heavy sleepers in the morning and it never woke us up.
You stay out late enough, drink too much and have too much fun it's funny how things don't bother you that might usually. Great question !!

Thank you for the review. You did a great job. I have to say, that I am getting a little concerned about our May 1 cruise. The reviews that I have read recently have too said that something was off. We are regular Carnival cruisers but Royal Caribbean was cheaper and we wanted to try something different. Our last cruise on Royal was on the Rhapsody in 2005 and we wanted to try one of their larger ships and we figured that the Liberty would be a good choice since it was larger and was getting some upgrades in dry-dock. Was the Boomerang waterslide open yet? Also, if you take a Royal Caribbean excursion in Grand Cayman do you get priority in tendering? Thanks
I wouldn't worry TOO much about the being off a little. I promise we had a great time and the ship is beautiful.
The Tidal Wave slide was not open and everything I have read leads me to believe it may be a while before it does open. Your cruise May 1 may be far enough off that they get something figured out. I know they had people on board all week of our cruise looking at it.
I can only assume that folks having Royal booked excursions do get priority at Grand Cayman. Sorry I cannot say for sure since that didn't apply to us.

Thanks, I have a question last 2 years we did Navigator and they had specialty resturants open for lunch on all sea days, it looks like on Liberty they are only open 1st sea day?? Love lunch at Giovanni's
not sure about giovanni's but we had Sabor for lunch on the second sea day out of galveston. followed by a lengthy nap !
-
they did offer the drink cards, it started out at 72$, then the next day i saw it listed at 67$. not sure if it dropped any lower.
remember though that the drink package prices had all been raised for the spring break cruises.
we had already purchased ours but the prices went up about a month or so before we sailed.

I was looking through my pictures and saw this one.
I made it larger to see if I could figure out the name
on it and between this picture and another one we believe this is the Tatoosh.
It is owned by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft and owner of the Seattle Seahawks and other pro sports teams.
It was around Ocho Rios when we took this picture.
If you blow it up a bit you can see a boat, a car and a helicopter onboard.
I think me and Mr. Allen take different kind of cruises !
This yacht even has it's own Wikipedia page.

Thanks for the REVIEW.
True enough the Large port tenders are easier to get on and off, especially for seniors and the handicapped, hold more people and run more frequently.
The biggest problem with tendering in Cayman is the Wind. Since your first several days were windy, count yourself lucky that they wind didn't prohibit the tendering process.
We have been to Cayman about 12 times and only been able top get off the ship 7 times. The 5 we could not were because of the rough seas caused by winds.
The uncertainty about actually getting into Cayman was one reason we did not plan an excursion. We do feel lucky we got to go.
