I was excited , for a moment when I saw the email......because I have read about these great offers.... but after a bit of research...I’m almost insulted.

I just received an up sell offer that seems eyerolling..... 289 per person from a BD balcony to a mini suite 7 days on the regal .....maybe I am expecting too much.....but  that is almost the same price that they are selling it for on the website! I have never had an offer before and I thought they were meant to be a great deal .

We booked Feb 7 - BD. assigned today to a DB ..... I'm not sure that is a great upgrade.... Seems a bit forward. I have only been aft rear .... Will be nice to have the love seat ... And we requested to be near our travelling companions ... We got 210 and 209

I am thinking of booking an aft cabin on the Royal Princess. I am wondering if anyone has recent experience on the Marina deck aft cabins.

Is soot still an issue?

What is the space beside M727?

Is there a door on that balcony?

Is that balcony extra wide?

Make sure your reservation is marked " no upgrade" because that cabin is amazing- I have been in the aft corner baha cabin twice , and LOVED it. It is hard for me to book anything else because I don't want any other location!

My internet, soda package and Crown dining vouchers were paid by my Canadian credit card, in Canadian funds...later in the week I ordered onboard credit, it was charged to the same card...but was charged to my card in US funds. These amounts were copied from my online credit card statement

The second was internet and Soda plus more card -Canadian

The third charge was for onboard credit,same card, but they converted it to US ! So I paid an extra 35.03 for the onboard credit!

Lucky for you...I am Canadian, booked my cruise in CDN, bought internet, soda cards, crown grill vouchers, all in CDN , but the onboard credit that I purchased was charged to my Canadian credit card in US funds. My cruise was Mar 1, 2014. I purchased all items in February.:mad:

I ordered $250.00 OBC. The agent told me me would be charged in CDN. I did not receive my email confirmation so I called back the next night . That agent resent confirmation ,but wasn't sure about the charges, checked with other departments , came back said it would be in US funds...... Looked at my statement today, and 250$ OBC. Cost me $285.03 CDN ... I don't understand how it is in CDN for some, but not others! Is it the agent making a mistake? Or has the policy changed? I booked and paid for cruise in CND ...and purchased internet and soda cards ...paid in CDN at par. This was cut from my statement ...

We got an aft facing cabin by accident the first time we cruised....I don't want to be anywhere else now! :rolleyes: Can't wait to cruise on the Ruby in March ! Third cruise.....third aft...Emerald, Caribbean and now the Ruby ! <3

Book an aft cabin on the Baha deck...awesome balcony's!

Once you go aft you'll never go back to anything else.

I think you are right...Just booked our third cruise...and I chose it because of the "aft" balcony!

I have only cruised once...last year on the Emerald.....I read about the coffee before I travelled...I thought that people were being too picky.....then I tasted the coffee on the ship....it was TERRIBLE !! It seems like like a simple thing to make decent coffee...I am not sure why Princess chooses to serve the poorest quality ....$$ yes I know..could they step it up a bit?

The IC coffe was good...but the machines were broken most of the cruise last year...also...one small location on the entire ship is not very conveniant for 3000 people!

Good Luck!! Hope all goes as planned...I am somewhat envious as we were to have been on the Mar 18th cruise, we looked at the the April 1st..but I was too nervous to book it. We sail the Emerald next week instead.Similar ports...but 3 extra days!! Enjoy !!

DOMINICA MOST CAPTIVATING is the tour I am looking at. Their website recommends hiking boots...not practical to bring. Has anyone worn running shoes on the tour? were they sufficient?
