  1. Thank you, as we are doing lagoon snorkeling in Bora Bora we hoped in Moorea  to go to

Ta ‘ ahiamanu beach. I have contacted all recommended transport companies but none will commit. As far as Raiatea we had read somewhere there were water taxis readily available to Tahaa but really can’t get definitive answer.  Seems difficult to get answers of what is readily available in each port.  We are going 3/20/20 NCL Jewel .

  2. We will do one day of boating/snorkelling but we want one of these ports to be a beach day. Which location is easiest to do beach on your own? By easiest I mean available transport, public beach access etc  All tours seem to include boating, would be happy to hire a private driver to take us around. We are a group of 8. Any recommendations or comments appreciated. We are on the Jewell March 20/20

We'll also be there on Oceania in April.

Have been to Nuku Hiva twice before and while the island resembles Kauai in some ways there is still not a lot to do. No reef so no snorkeling. We took a 4x4 tour of the part of the island that is accessible from the port. Gorgeous views, pretty drive, sacred site visit. But it's not something I'd do again. Temarama Tours is who we used and the price was much better than the ships tour which sounded almost identical. A big problem with the tour. Richard Deane is a wonderful island guide and historian but there are at least 10 cars in a caravan of 4x4's. At stops we missed half of what Richard was explaining. Our driver spoke French so no help there. But since there is not a lot else to do it's a worthy trip. 75USD

We're going to walk the 1/2 to 1 mile from the small port town to a beach that is not highly recommended but just something different.

Limited service in Nuku Hiva so may be awhile before you hear back.

what beach are you walking to? And why is it not recommended? Thank you !

  4. If we have a group of 12 will we be able to find a private driver at pier? Thinking possibly the canals then a beach. Have been to the beach at Cahuita but not wanting to go that far this time (would have if jaguar rescue open but Sunday so closed). Comments on playa Bonita? Also what price range are we looking at pp. Anything else enroute we would include?

  5. Have been to Panama a few times but this time  have a few with us that haven’t seen locks. Has anyone taken tour from pier just to see locks and come back, ? seems like all published tours are combo . wouldn’t mind the combo but on private tours don’t want to be too far from ship or late in day. Any and all comments welcome, thank you

  6. first time in Bonaire and have a large group. Some may want to snorkel and others beach it. Would we be able to get private van at pier to tour us around and stop as we wish to snorkel or would we need to book prior? Could be 12 people ..
