I'm getting a little tired of the NCL website never working when I want to plan or purchase something. First, it took several DAYS before it would accept my bid on an upgrade after they offered me the opportunity. Now I have excursions in my shopping cart and go through the entire payment process only to have it go right back to my cart and want me to start the payment process again. I've done it twice now. Really..it shouldn't be that hard to allow me to buy something from them. Anyone else have trouble with the site lately?

  2. Does any one have a suggestion for a port excursion for Dunn's River and Mystic Mountain? We are on the Epic and I did not see that combination as an option from Ocho Rios on this ship specifically. We would like to do both things. I am not opposed to going through the ship since I have read the cab fares are pricey and it seems like a hassle. I have never been to this port.

We considered Ultimate Adventure Zip, Tubing & Dunn's River Falls, but it seems pricey and we could not find reviews on this specific one out of our port. Some reviews I did find posted that they were rushed for the Norwegian excursion, but they were leaving from Falmouth. I am also 1/4 people in my party not excited to zipline, so may not be worth it for me.

Thanks for any advice you could offer.

  3. The Breakaway skipped Great Stirrup Cay and sailed for Nassau and arrived the same day and docked overnight.

NCL can easily build a pier so that tender ports at Great Stirrup Cay is not needed, but they are cheap and won't do it. If you are confused about what I mean, look at New England such as Bar Harbor, Maine. Many of the New England ports need a tender boat, but they are now building a full-sized pier so that ships can dock directly.

A pier doesn't guarantee docking. Disney ships can miss their stop at Castaway Cay because of weather.

  4. We are booked on the 3/31/2018 sailing on the Epic. The reservation system kept telling me that we couldn't book the entertainment. So we called them and they stated that since it was a "Spring Break" cruise they weren't going to allow any entertainment bookings online. All of the entertainment needs to be booked after we board the ship.

Has anyone had this experience wit NCL? It seems kind of backwards.

  5. We are going on the Allure in December. What is this "prohibition party" you speak of?

The Prohibition Party is a party that the ship throws that is from the Prohibition Era. Some people dress in 1920's era clothing. It is limited number of spots so you may want to reserve early. I am signed up for it for the 3/26 sailing. I believe that it is restricted to those that are 21+. Look for it on your cruise planner.
