  1. Thanks for the explanation I had one other question.

We're booked on the Norwegian Sky and will be in Havana on New Years Eve.

Not exactly sure why but based on what we're told by Norwegian we checked Educational exchanges - group people to people through Norwegian or other organization.

We've booked a 1:00pm excursion with Norwegian. My question is can we leave the ship to walk around Havana on our own prior to the excursion without a problem?

    Thanks

  2. We have sailed 17 times with Princess. Our Regal 1/28 cruise won’t have the Ocean Medillan service available.

I read the CC boards here and decided to call Princess yesterday to confirm if OBC credits were being given because Princess wasn’t offering something that was originally advertised.

After about 25 miniutes I was told nothing could be done but I was placed on a wait list and reminded that I would have unlimited WI-FI on two devises.

Today I’m reading more reviews and thought I’d try again. As mentioned here on the thread I asked for Customer Relations politely explained why I was calling and was put on hold for about 15 minutes.

Customer Relations gets on the call asks what she can do for me. I patiently tell her why I’m calling and what I’ve read on CC. She offers me $80 per person. I ask if that’s the best she can do, she says yes. I had already invested enough time in this and I didn’t feel like groveling for $40.

I’m happy that I received something, but forcing a customer to call twice and then offer something less than the going rate is not a great customer service experience.

  3. We’re thinking about doing our first B2B cruises on the Ruby with four short B2B cruises on the west coast this September.

The first leg is one night from Seattle to Vancouver.

We love Vancouver but the Canada Place Cruise terminal can be a little crazy as we recently discovered. It took us two hours to check in on 5/7/16.

We would like to explore Vancouver for the day before departing later in the afternoon on our second leg to Long Beach.

    Our questions:

    1. Can we check in for all four cruises in Seattle?

    2. If we leave the ship in the morning in Vancouver will we have to do the entire check in process as we re-board for the second leg of our west coast trip?

    3. The other two legs of the B2B depart from Long Beach. If we leave the ship in Long Beach do we have to do the entire process as well. (we are both US citizens)

    4. If we stay on the ship at all ports what is the process for us clearing customs in Vancouver and Long Beach.

    Thanks in advance,

  4. I was pleasantly surprised but unlike the airlines, Princes allowed us to book three back to back cruises next January (2 Caribbean, 1 Mexico) all within the same time period January 21st- February 5th. For $12!!!

Over the next few weeks we can review each itinerary, research airfare, etc and determine what works best for us.

The plan is to pick a B2B and cancel the rest, freeing up the inventory for others.

We just purchased FCC's on our Royal cruise last month. But why use them when $4 will get the job done!

  5. Thanks for the photos Lew it was nice meeting you and Nan at the Retreat Pool earlier in the trip.

Saturday on the Behind the Scenes Tour we learned that the sailboat and it's passengers were in the water for a couple of days. Luckily they did have a working radio and we're able to contact the ship with a May Day message.

On the Bridge there was some confusion at first because they were speaking Spanish and no one on the Bridge at that time spoke the language. However they quickly found someone who did and established communications.

Down below in the Engine Room, the Chief Engineer, who was working out in the gym when this occurred, confirmed that they train for this emergency manuver all the time and it was great to see that they all performed flawlessly!

  6. Happy New Year to all!

We’re looking forward to our upcoming Mexican cruise on the Grand Princess in three weeks.

Last night we made a new year resolution to finally take a Princess Alaska cruise in 2015!

A quick check for our best dates in August at the Princess web site indicates a sale event running to February 26th that includes reduced cabin pricing, a low $100 refundable deposit, and a $50 OBC, for a balcony 7 nights on the Ruby Princess.

My question to the more experienced Princess travelers….

If we wait till we are on the Grand by purchasing a Future Cruise Deposit will we be eligible for all the sale perks above PLUS and an additional $50 OBC for a balcony that comes with an FCC?

    Thanks and regards
