  1. I wish I had done an online "tour" before our actual visit.  It is overwhelming, the art and history in front of you on this tour, where humanity drives you, as noted previously.  We had a guide and it was still so, so, so much to take in, so much beauty and art and history.  Best of luck!

Hum?  That is very interesting because everything I have seen is saying that you specifically need a "Bubble" Tour, and it is spelled at as such in the title "Bubble"

I don't think saying "most are" is accurate, There are a lot of excursions that would allow a person to leave the tour and walk around on their own (such as beach days, etc.), or that include activities where you mingle with other people on shore.  This is not going to work for the unvaccinated and they will not be allowed to go.

Not sure who you talked to at Carnival, but I know JH specifically said "Bubble Tours" only, and to look for that.  Now he is wrong sometimes, but I also know the general call center people at Carnival are wrong a lot of the time about things outside of booking a room - and even that they can sometimes give you "bad" information on specifics you may want.

You're right.  Ack.  Still no Bubble Tours listed for our cruise.

We are sailing on the Magic on 9/27 with our toddler which means we have to take a bubble tour. I know alot can change in two months however as of right now there are not many bubble tours available. We would not be able to do a private tour like a private cabana, or the private van tour correct? It HAS to be labeled a bubble tour? TIA

I talked with Carnival yesterday about this - I was told that 'most' excursions listed in each port are Bubble tours, but the name remains the same, i.e. "Swimming With Dolphins" will not display as "Bubble Tour Swim With Dolphins".  I was advised to grab an excursion fast, as the ship excursions will go quickly.

Our cruise was scheduled for April 5th.  I made the request for Option 2 on March 12th.  Just now the amount for the cruise + EZ Air has been credited to our account.  This is good news, yes.  We are still owed the funds for 4 excursions.

Excursion credit came through last night, May 20th (it says it was sent on April 21).  FCC is showing accurately on our Princess accounts. So, onward. Hoping to cruise again.

  5. This is disappointing but good to know.  In the cancelling of our Australia cruise and adventure, I worried about a few things like this.  We had tickets to "La Traviata", in the harbor, staged by the Sydney Opera House, bought through them.  After one short email, they refunded immediately, less a small fee.  I will remember this.  We haven't given up on Australia and hope to go someday.

  6. Does he like getting in the water? Chankanaab has a great lagoon for children, no waves, very accessible and calm. There is seating and shade (if you're quick to get there in the a.m.) right beside the lagoon. A 5 minute taxi from the port taxi stand is a short and easy trip. Print a coupon off the web for a small discount at the park. Our Asperger guy enjoyed this place. You can watch the dolphin experience, sea lion show (modest show). We found small fish swimming in the lagoon, it's also a great place to practice snorkeling.

  7. Any recommendations for shopping in Mediterranean ports for affordable, locally-made goods? Any tips out there from experienced cruise-port shoppers that have found jewelry or handbags or art or anything that you felt were great buys, benefitted local artisans and were not mass produced in a country far, far away from the Mediterraean?
