  1. We want to swim from the beach to the turtles and wrecks, where is the best place along Carlisle to have the taxi drop us?

Is it closer to the Boatyard or Harbour Lights or somwhere in between.

    Thanks!:)

  2. We were at Carlisle about 12 days ago and had a wonderful day. Since we had our own snorkel gear we simply swam out from the beach to the area where there are many sea turtles. This is where all the tour boats bring their passengers (who pay lots of money) but for those who are comfortable swimming some distance can easily get to the area for free. There was no loud music (or any music) on the beach during our visit.

As to Boatyard, folks should be aware that Carlisle is actually on the same beach as Boatyard...but there is no admission fee. At Carlisle you can rent 2 chairs plus umbrella for no more then $20 (you might get them down to $15) and there is a nice restaurant complex with food, booze, and rest rooms.

Hi Hank ,would you mind telling me where on Carlisle we should be dropped off to be closest to the area where you can swim out to the turtles ourselves? We all have fins and vests so figured we would just wait till we see the catamaran tours and gead out towards them.Would Harbour lights be a good place to be let off?

    Thanks for your help. Susan:)
