  1. Have to agree with Chaffesbird

Went on The Spirit in June a fantastic week old friends Sheldon and Nick looked after us in the dinning room really enjoyed the show team one of the best in 25 Thomson cruises but food wasn't the best even Shrocos!! Still had a good time. Arrived back last Thursday from the Celebration Had far better food didn't have one bad meal and had the special deal in the three Mistrals, Hot stones and Kora la all lovely meals great value. Love Top man as always but show team disappointing but just my opinion lovely people but didn't gel as well as the great team on the Spirit ( Although someone correct me if I'm wrong but not sure if Lee, Barcley, Tom, Liv, Ashley, Georgia and co are still on The Spirit) You can't please everyone and I feel for me 100% Celebration food and Itinery this year but Spirits show team (June) This year for me!!!

  2. Thank You UK cruiser and Campolady

Such quick replies I will try Thomsons website. I have been cruising for years and when I first started you were able to bring guests onboard pre organised. But as UK Cruiser said it is a major security issue especially 15 years on!!

  3. Hi everyone

Off on the Spirit on 26 th June Can anyone help do Thomsons still allow guests onboard? We are due to sail into Palma and I have a friend who lives in Alcudia and we are meeting up would be lovely to spend the day onboard as she has never been onboard a ship before 26 th cruise for me so would love to show her a small part of the experience. I'm not sure they allow this can anyone help?

    Many thanks

  4. Hi

I have over 20 cruises with Thomson under my belt! Off on the Spirit in June with my parents (77 & 78) and my 23 year old son. Last October we were on The Dream we like the quizzes, game shows, theatre shows We also had great entertainment show hosts in Ted, Taylor and Liv who we had great banter with. we find lots to keep us entertained. My daughter and son in law would also be with us but we have a new granddaughter! I'm off in September with my husband celebrating our Pearl Wedding Ann on The Celebration. As last poster said a great mix of people and loads to keep you entertained. Have a great Cruise.

  5. Good Evening all

My parents are sailing on the Spirit on the 20th April out of Cyprus. First time they have not been fully inclusive and were wandering does anyone know if they are selling duty free on the onboard shops? We were on board the Dream in October and they weren't allowed to sell duty free. They quite like a few drinks for the cabin. Cabin Stewards always helpful filling up that ice bucket lol

Many thanks for anybody whose been on the Spirit in the last couple of weeks who might be able to help.

  6. Good morning all

Campo lady I wonder if you could help me. I am looking for an email address for Thomson problem being of on the Dream on 17th October for the 6th time (23rd Thomson cruise) I am sharing a room with my 22 year old son and although I book a twin when we arrive it always set up as a double! No problem if I'm sharing with my husband. Used to have the same problem when my daughter and son used to share a room. Just thought it would save having to join large ques on day one. Last time it was the celebration. 20 year old son sharing double bed with 25 year old sister lol

Thank you in advance Receptionist 2

  7. Hi everyone

We have had quite a few gifts . Was on the Celebration in August and had the £25 on board credit. we were on the Majesty in June and that was a bottle of sparkling wine and this was the second time we had wine in the cabin but we do have 17 Thomson cruises under our belts. Off on the Dream on Saturday1st November for the fifth time and not had anything on this ship so that will be interesting to see if we receive anything on this one We have had onboard credit for reasons out of Thomsons control such as the three days we spent in Grand Caneria last March due to adverse weather conditions we were on the Majesty some poster may remember this cruise. Not the type of credit you want to receive but very welcome anyway.

  8. Hi FIFE1

We returned from the Majesty last Friday and just to let you know Brian is a great friend of our too it was great to see him again and he was telling us his little boy is five now! I was telling him he gets a few mentions on this Forum and he didn't believe me. He is not very good with technology says he prefers the phone box lol Love to see all our old Destiny friends. Blue and his partner Chris from the MDR lovely guys. Have known Blue for around 10year and he also loves to see my children who are now 21 and 25. Happy days!

  9. Same here! Just back last Friday off the Majesty 3rd time on the ship and had 3 trips on the Dream. But it's the Majesty all the way for me! Food and staff far better than the Dream. Also didn't think you could beat last years show team but just loved them . Nice to see Nick Walton back on the ships after a two year break! 17th Thomson cruise for us and the Majesty is our favourite ship also lots of our Destiny friends on there.

  10. hi everyone

My daughter is getting married in October and we went along to the Wedding show in Manchester on Saturday. We got talking to the Thomson team who had a stall there I got talking cruises to one of the guys he was impressed on how many we had been on and my knowledge of all the fleet! I asked him was Cyprus going to be the new port for 2015 and he said not!! But that it was going to be Croatia. He also told me not to tell anyone whoops!! If true that would be great I love Croatia and it has some lovely stops. Does anyone remember the lovely stop off at Korcula I think 2012. Fingers crossed for Croatia.

  11. Hi to everyone

On having been on all of the Thomson ships and 15 of them under my belt in 2013 travelled on the Majesty twice and The Dream in September for the third time. Never had such poor food in the MDR. As others have said very little red meat and having to resort to Pasta dishes very unusual of us for an evening meal. Love the short flight to Palma and the itinery the Dream has to offer but was so disappointed with the food I won't be choosing the Dream unless reports on my favourite forum change. Not a patch on The Majesty's food. It's the Celebration for us this year. Let's hope things improve.
