We booked the cabin two doors down, a couple of years ago. It was a good cabin. We like Empress midship, a few doors from elevator area. Smoke tends to be strong near the elevators midship, coming from the casino. You are far enough away, as our preference. Great central location! Enjoy!:)

is that the one with marshmellows? I had a cheesecake at O Sheehans on the Jewel that had marshmellows on it on the last day and it was SO good, can't believe i missed out on getting it for the other days onboard

 

 

I find that LOTS of O Sheehans food can be tastey - although probably just depends on who is working in the kitchen, a good chef is worth alot :D

 

Oh and I could eat baskets and baskets of mozz sticks

We just got off the Getaway and I believe there were 3 nights with prime rib. They rotate that with chicken and waffles. I had the prime rib and it wasn't bad. I do highly recommend the RibEye at LaCucina. At $19 each it is well worth it and cheaper than the 29 each at cagneys:)

 

Also the brownie cheesecake at O'Sheehans is incredible. And yes, you can go to the main dining room for dessert only.

Just found out, unfortunately, that they are no longer with Carnival, as well as numerous other "Music Bands".:confused:

 

I would be interested to know if any have contracted with other cruiselines ??

Music Boardwalk is a Rock and Roll Cover Band. They are very good and play and sing everything and a fun to listen too. I'm going on at the end of May.

Nice review! We cruised the same week - great turnout at the Meet & Greet - lots of CCers on board. Had a terrific time - staff and passengers all happy!!! Enjoyed our getaway on the Getaway from all this snow...

It's annoying when your spouse takes his key and leaves, and then you're in the dark within a minute. We just stick a previous cruises S&S card in. Didn't realize it could be anything. Live and learn.

Lace, What is really annoying is when on the last day of the cruise you are disembarking and realize you left your S&S card in the slot:mad: only CCL ship this happened on was the Breeze. Also if the card is removed the A/C, fridge, and anything you are charging stays on.:cool: Pink

we are also cruising feb 21st. we have a Guarantee room so unsure where we'll be but that 8th floor cagneys balcony sounds fun

Musclengrace, We are also sailing on Feb 21st and plan to watch the fireworks outside of Cagneys. We watched them last October from Spice and the crowds and music were much for my wife:eek: but I liked it;) Pink

The lovely Mrs. Jones was aboard "Liberty" recently, and really enjoyed playing some kind of "Howl At the Moon" slot. It was a penny slot, and would pay out enough to keep her going for an extended period of time, but never really hit big. It was in a bank of three or four slots, and as I recall, near the roulette table. Good luck! ;)

 

"SKY"

SkyMaster, We were on the Liberty Dec 6th thru the 13th and that row of penny slots stayed busy the whole time the casino was opened. Located behind the roulette wheel and between the smoking area at the casino bar and the Cash cage. We mainly played blackjack and listened to the cover band "Music Power":) Pink

Costa Maya has many places along the malecon in Mahajaual (sp?).

 

The ones I saw weren't very private. (How could I see it if it was private ....). For some, it could be a problem.

Cruising4, The massage tables were out in the open but several years ago there were some balconies (sp) I believe near Pes Quatro (sp) with thatched roofs that were simi-private. The people having massages on the beach had their bathing suits on:D Pink

Hi...need opinions or suggestions for best place to get massage on beach. We are doing the western Caribbean on the NYE Liberty and would love to get a massage on a beach in one of the ports. Anyone have a suggestion or experience?

Drazil65, We just got off of the Liberty yesterday and there were plenty of people offing massages in the small town outside of the port area in Costa Maya. They were asking $20.00 per HOUR!:eek: Great price and just as good as the Spa but 1/6th the price:cool: Pink

I too, have sailed "Liberty" three times this year, and will be boarding for another FANTASTIC cruise on Friday! ;) I've never noticed any more motion aboard this ship, than any other? Perhaps it was just a windy week?

Air conditioning in my cabins (always inside cabins) has been outstanding, and as a matter of fact, I've always had to turn it down as it was WAY too cold in the cabin.

I personally, LOVE "Liberty", its crew, entertainment, and food. Truly a GREAT cruise.

Maybe some day we'll get some of these offers, but since we're Diamond Carnival probably knows it doesn't have to work too hard to keep us.

kicia, Hang in there. We are also Diamond and just got the letter last week. When they first started giving away "free" cruises we thought Carnival would never give us anything so we started not having any future cruises booked and started cruising with NCL. We did book a 5 day Fantasy cruise only a week ahead of sailing date last month and got a good deal on it:) Sailing the Liberty in December 7 day western:cool: Pink

I wish there was one but I only know of three:

 

"Music Asia" - is currently on the Carnival Splendor until November

then vacation for a couple of months and then back

to the Carnival Victory not sure of the contract time.

 

"Music Boardwalk" - is now on the Carnival Paradise until February.

 

"Music Unlimited" - is currently on the Carnival Miracle not sure of the

the contract time.
