  1. I was on the sailing. My brother-in-law was told that a 40 year old crew member had a heart attack. I think he was a member of the waitstaff as an assistant waiter cleaning our table the morning he was airlifted said he was his friend. It was so sad.

Yes, its very sad, I hated to hear about it. My sister in law said she saw the helicopter take him away and my Mom said the captain made an announcement of honoring him, but I didn't hear it, it was very early in the morning.

    Thanks for letting me know.

  2. Just an FYI. Central Ohio has a regional out break of Norovirus starting in the last week.

I was on the Jan 2 cruise and 4 of us from Columbus OH, we were not sick at all, but I do want to share a couple of things I witness within a few hours of being on the ship Jan 2nd.

#1 was in the Oceanview Café women's bathroom and saw a Celebrity staff use the restroom and leave without washing hands!

#2 a couple hours later, went to the Slushy Bar to get a cool drink and saw the bartender wipe his nose with his bare hand and continue to make a drink! I immediately left and didn't return the whole cruise.

We called guest relations and they blew it off as no big deal. We were not happy with how they handled these two situations. and that's just what we saw, who knows what else was going on that we didn't see.

  3. Hi, Our cruise leaves on Monday, Jan 2 so we are flying in Jan 1. I knew prices would be high and availability limited, my concern is getting cocktails and dinner that evening before bed and of course with no car and being new years day I'm wondering about what will be open in the evening.

So I'm looking at hotels that have restaurants on site I found Hyatt, pier 66 for $218, the other hotel I was looking at was Renaissance. Many others on 17t are already booked. I'm not familiar with the area but did a google map search of the area, anyone know of other hotels that can be considered?

  4. SORRY......

I'm so sorry twinkletoes & Msred, we'll be cursed by that song for a while. I watched the reunion & 1st finale shows again last night! you could be right curlyd, they are playing Daniel down, but Santino is getting alot of promoting (Regis&Kelly; VH1 Best Week Ever show) right now which makes me wonder.......

Looking forward to the show tonight, I can't wait to see the clothes in "action"

Lucky you curlyd to be on a cruise next week!!!! That's a good way to start mourning our lost of Project Runway. (until next year!!!!)

  5. DH has been watching it with me and since I've been sewing a lot lately he walks through my studio saying, "Where's Andrea?" "Carry on" and "Make it work"

LOL I love it! I'm also working on sewing projects right now and I wear my "Where the h*ll is my chiffon?" t-shirt that I bought on-line.

You know what's really scary? Friday at work the song "Daniel Franco, Where'd you go" kept going through my head. I think I need help! You're the only people who know this, cause I knew you'd understand!

Anxiously awaiting Wed's runway show! Carry on!

  6. Yea Diana was a surprise to me as well. I knew the first person to be picked would be Nick, I even yell at the TV, pick Nick!

I figured all three would have picked him first, Daniel just got lucky.

I thought she might pick Emmett, but Diana can construct and sew pretty well, and her designs are different, maybe a little something different to finish out with.

I saw on Brave web site for the casting(designing) calls on PR3 is in two weeks.

  7. I've seen Santino's runway collection already, and I was very surprised, they were quite nice, very toned down from the things we've seen during the show.

Daniel's was also very nice, nothing dramatic, very safe looking.

    Chole's as usual was wonderful.

I'm looking forward to the reunion show tonight!

  8. Wow, I've begun to live for Wednesday nights, 10:00pm.

Loved Chloe's! color and design, very unique.

The color on Nick's didn't stand out very well, but really liked the design.

Zulema's was very nice and well made, I also see why she won.

I was surprised to see Robert deliver the packages in a mailman's uniform! What a hoot! Wonder if he'll show up again???? I thought it was funny last year when he became a "helper" after being eliminated.

    Till next week!

  9. Michael Kors has a label that is being carried in 'nicer' department stores, its price point is like that of Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole. These styles are mass produced.

He also has more of a couture line, and that is what the celebrities wear. These clothes are made in very small quantities and are sometimes made to order for a VIP or celeb.

The quality of the dept store Kors is good, its just that he (or a designer under him) have just made some questionable style choices when they started it up last year, and thus what didn't 'sell' from what they made was sold off to TJ Maxx.

Ahhhh, Thanks for the info. When I saw the clothes in TJMaxx I thought they probably came from Dept. store buy-out, but isn't all their clothes and shoes, housewares, etc. dept. store buy-out's? Even saw some Coach purses last week. It's hit or miss but I just love that store!

MrsRed - I too love Tim Gunn, I always enjoy the comments and direction he gives to the designers. I'm anxious for next week, and how they design a skating costume. Also, lucky you to have Chloe's boutique near by. If you check it out let us know all about it.

BTW has anyone signed up for the Fashion Face-off?

  10. Telling Micheal Kors women don't know him is like telling God he didn't design the world right. Mr. Kors does have a bit of an ego. However, I can see Santino's point that someone just starting out would not be able to afford Micheal Kors.

That completely floored me when he said that! And I Hate the "eye rolling" he does.

About buying Micheal Kors.... our local Macy's is selling Micheal Kors and when it hits the sale racks it's a great buy, better than Banana Republic. I've even found some of his light knit sweaters in our local TJMaxx, and I'm always thrilled when I see that!

BTW - LOVE, LOVE this show, have been "hooked" since 1st show, 1st season. Also enjoy the boards on bravotv web.
