  1. Before I start, We really enjoyed our cruise however there are some changes that came about because obc can now be booked before sailing. Before this procedure came into effect, we pre-paid for our excursions expecting that once on board we would cancel and re-book using our obc. You can no longer do this! We did find someone that would do this for us but we had to pay the "on board price" which was about $10 + for all the excursions. One excursion I would not recommend is Island Tour & Tiki Beach in Grand Cayman. We paid $74.75 pp and had a ride around GC. The guide must have been a new hire because he could not remember what he was suppose to be telling us even if we could understand him. Tiki Beach is sooo small with people on top of each other and no shade. Umbrellas were $30 which are the cheapest on the beach. You are only there for 2 hrs and sharp rocks in the water made it impossible to walk or stand to try and cool off. When back on board we went to the Excursion Desk and did get 50% credit for our experience and suggested that Celebrity try and find a better beach. There are some other lovely beaches on GC.

Another change was with Guest Relations - they can no longer explain your bill. Figuring it out is a lot more complicated than before.

  2. We sailed on May 1st on the Summit and took a 4 hour taxi tour with Sydney Robertson. He is a qualified tour guide of his beautiful island in taxi 1029. He centered our tour around our interests. Stopped at sites we wanted and showed us the most beautiful "driving range" on the island! We highly recommend him!

  3. Just back from Bermuda cruise. We were told to be "in line" at least 1/2 hr before. They do take $5 bills. We were in line for the "next to last" ferry 30 minutes ahead of time and the ferry left with a LONG Line of people waiting to get on but they had to wait for the last ferry.

  4. I was "your neighbor" in room 2098. We also had to go to customer relations regarding our room steward. We did not get "turn down" service the 1st night sailing. Therefore we didn't get Celebrity TODAY to plan our activities for Monday. We also did not get our Captain's Club coupons in the cabin. Customer relations told us that the room steward should have told us that we needed to go to deck 3 for coupons, however, 1 of the 3 rooms booked did get the coupons in their stateroom. The room steward only introduced himself and told us that if we needed anything to just let him know.

  5. there is NO slush bar on the summit...only on 2 ships. Loved that bar on the Eclispe. We are also sailing next week and will definitely miss the slush bar. The blackberry ginger mojito was to die for. Wish the slush bar was on the summit!
