  1. G'day the wife and I would love to cruise from Paris to Amsterdam then Amsterdam to Budapest and ask your advise.

We are both retired , in our seventies - we would like a cabin with a veranda if possible and am not aware when the rivers let boats under bridges or even float as we would like to enjoy a cruise as compared a bus trip of which we have enjoyed many.

Here we see many cruise companies but there are possibly many more that we have never heard of but - if its like European restaurants - the locals know better than we foreigners,

My dear old Dad told me many years ago - if the locals use it then its good.

We would really value any information , advise or guidance that you may find time to pass on to us

    kindest regards

  2. we did a short trip on Celebrity Solstice and loved every minute so have booked a eight day trip - wife is fearful of seasickness.

This time on board have those drink dockets and would love to have some meals in the speciality dining areas but find that bookings can only be made 4 days before sailing .

What else is beaut onboard that we should not miss - we have a balcony so would love breakfast in our cabin - is that possible as room service seems to have only drinks and "fast" food

How about tipping for room service - what would be reasonable in your

    opinion ?

Would really appreciate any information and advise that will "show us the way"

We usually usually discover the good things after the fact buy with your help NOT THIS TIME

    kind regards

  3. G'day the wife and I are both in our mid seventies and would love to see Europe but not up to the rigors of a bus tour so a river cruise fills the bill.

We would need to fly ta and from Melbourne but because of distance would appreciate a break over night each way .

We were looking at Scenic Tours but have been advised that Amadeus is a better way to go as we would like wine with meals but not necessarily all day free.

We have been told that a nice trip is to fly to Paris for a few days then train to Amsterdam for the boat trip to Budapest and then be driven to Prague for a few days and then fly home.

We would ask if this is sane thinking and which month should we look at and how much in Australian Dollars would such a trip involve remembering that we are aged pensioners and on a SKI adventure

    Really value your opinions

    kind regards

    peter
