Thanks! Now we need to decide if the day-use fee for the Thermal Suites is worth it. 😏

For those who have been on EDGE and experienced this: Are there gender specific saunas in the individual locker/changing rooms? So far it appears the only dry saunas are in the Thermal Suites area (along with other types).

Well. The acceleration of the glacier melt should help the water situation EVENTUALLY! 🤯🤭
This is a horrible situation for many reasons. We have cancelled this as well from our bucket list for now. Here is our NEXT frustration with RCCL. We also booked the following sailing (April 13th) so we can get our butts back to US soil. Although the April 6th sailing is offering a full refund, our B2B portion to get us home from a cruise that isn’t going to happen will CHARGE US A CANCELLATION FEE! This is beyond poor customer service from Royal Caribbean! Seriously? YOU change the itinerary on one leg of a B2B, and WE have to pay a fee to cancel the other one?
Here is our solution: Keep our monies, OBC’s and charge us whatever you want to cancel. These two D+ guys are fed up with your shenanigans over the years. “Hello Celebrity Edge! We are so glad to jump ship to you, from your step-sister company. Looking forward to a long sailing history with you.”- 2

OP here. I am thinking of removing my original post. The discussion is no longer value-added, nor pertinent to my inquiry. Moving on

Just curious if anyone has been on a sailing and not had a roll call thread for it, or not had anyone reply to one that you started? We find it odd that none had been started for Navigator OTS 10-16-2023, so we started one. Are there just a lot more CC members that prefer to lurk, than post? Thoughts please?

…….Brilliantly said “Ret MP”. Thanks for your advice, AND your service. We expect a decision this week, after the situation was elevated.
We hope that the Pre-Covid $165 p/p fee will be re-instated at some point, and the issue will be resolved.- 1

We would gladly pay a fee/penalty. From a financial standpoint it doesn’t sense for them to NOT allow an early departure. They would NOT incur the expense to have our room cleaned for two days, feed us for two days, nor give us 10 free cocktails each day! But, I guess their “bottom line” is not the decision maker here……its “Guest Safety”. Right.

Thank you everyone for your replies. True, the excerpts quoted are not the current policies on several fronts. Rules are constantly changing and HOPEFULLY the restrictions will be loosening up. We have an agents who is also receiving different responses, depending on who is on the other end of the call. It sure makes planning difficult. But……we wait, and hope. 🤞

That’s interesting. We were on a T/A to Amsterdam in Spring of 2022 and there were several people we knew who made arrangements to get off the ship on the two prior ports…..because it was “closer to their final destination”.

On a 7 day Mexican cruise, we want to disembark on day 5 into Puerto Vallarta. Has anyone done something like this recently?

Very helpful , thank you both!

For those of you who have done this, we have a question about what happens when we are “escorted” out en-mass between the two cruises. Are we permitted to go into the main terminal shopping area's? Or are we held in a separate area and then escorted back on the ship without having an option for a “bottle of wine dash”? Thanks in advance.

I am hoping that with the vaccines now rolling out that the spring 2021 TransAtlantic sailings will still take place. At the very least, maybe Royal Caribbean will push them out from April to May or even June? We are not canceling our Rhapsody booking as we’re thinking that the ships will certainly need to get to Europe at some point for at least a partial summer season. Is anyone else sharing our hope? Of course the CDC needs to “update” its position, and a lot of details worked out for the on-board experience before that can even be considered.

Who is along with us on a crossing from Tampa to Rome.....with a stop in Ibiza?

Western Caribbean 7 day cruise, right before she leaves for Italy. Anyone joining us?

Welcome Richie! See you on board hopefully. Just a few more hours of land under our feet. Imagine that embarking will be more “involved” due to the most recent news about the virus.

Definitely would like to meet you guys! We found on the app that the LGBT meeting is at 7:45 every evening in the Champagne bar. We set up my time dining for 6:30 every evening so not sure is we can make through dinner in one hour to make the meeting. We are going to try tomorrow evening and see what happens . Glad you have a way to contact if we miss each other. See you tomorrow! We are super excited!!

Hey guys! We changed staterooms to 1746...so just in case we don’t get the notice, please let us know. Our dining time is 7:45, so we may have to alter it a few nights to check out the champagne bar scene.

Hi Richard and Danny. Safe travels. We will notify you in your stateroom “just in case” you don’t receive the card. It has happened to us as well. Would be great to meet up for a cocktail with you guys, okay? We’ll check the “notice board” near guest services for the LGBT happy hour location. Cheers!

Hi Jeremy, welcome to the thread! Yes, there are quite a few of us on this sailing, although this thread isn’t very active. No doubt there will be a “NOTE CARD” posted on a board near guest services indicating a daily happy hour for us somewhere. Looking forward to all of the great days at sea, and enjoying the ship with everyone.

We’ve just returned from a T/A on Brilliance and we have become somewhat disappointed in the specialty dining options. We remember them all to have better service, better quality and in general “more worth the extra money” on past cruises. A common comment from the 2,000 pax was that staffing appeared to be an issue. So...I don’t believe that we will buy dining packages for this T/A. They will more than likely offer some DEALS while on board, as they are NEVER FULL anyhow. We are fortunate enough to have access to the suite lounge and Coastal Kitchen, so that should give us a step up in quality and service. 🤞.
