This post is the 5-Day pre-cruise tour for the 15-Day China, Taiwan & Vietnam Cruise.
Anyone else signed up for this pre-cruise tour?
Looking forward to hear from someone.

I decided to buy some using IRA money. I plan to leave it in the IRA so the dividends are not taxable Sit and ride without tax considerations.
The dividends are not taxable only if your stock is in a Roth IRA. In a SEP IRA you pay taxes on the amount you take out.

I am on the Royal right now. The Medallion Net WiFi is fast!!!! I’m truly amazed and pleased. Having unlimited WiFi is also allowing my photos to back up. I hemmed about giving up my free minutes but it is worth every penny to me. Might not be another passenger’s cup of tea.
Cheers, Denise
I will be on the Crown in Aug 2019 and purchased the Medallion Net WiFi. I paid $74.99 each for 12 day voyage.. Did you prepurchase yours or did you wait until you got on the ship? I read somewhere on a post that if you wait till you get on the ship, the price is less. I gave up my free elite minutes.
Hope to hear from you

This has come up many times. It's a very confusing list of stuff by Princess. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch, snack time, and dinner. All day, every day. It closes at 11:00 PM. Ignore the confusing publication that makes it look as if the buffet is closed.
Thank you
What a relief. I prefer the buffet to the MDR.

A buffet will always be open at dinner time.
It will either be the Horizon Court/World Fresh Marketplace or Cafe Carib on the ships that have both those venues.

Princess should edit their web site and bring it up to date

The $61/day is for the single user internet plan and drink package together.
How many days did you get billed?
-
I just got off the Allure and I paid $61 per day for the deluxe drink package and Vroom combined, just under $500 for the cruise. I am not a heavy drinker until I got on the cruise, lol. Great deal for the unlimited Patron and Grey Goose included in the deluxe with no limits. If the package price increases in the future, you can blame me. :-)
I assume the 61 per day included gratuities. Did you get billed for for 7 days or 8 days.
Glad you enjoyed the Grey Goose.

Mamma Mia was shown on Day 1 at 8:00 p.m., Day 2 at 9:30 p.m., and Day 3 at 5:00 p.m. It runs about 2 1/2 hours with an intermission (I think it was 15 minutes or so)
Thank you for this information . Greatly appreciate it. Now all I have to do is wait for Royal Caribbean to open up
the shows so that I can make reservations.
Hope you had a great cruise.

Saw Mamma Mia yesterday and it's a no miss show/performance. As good as the Broadway production, but much closer to the action. Just have reserves and get there half hour earlier for any good seats. We had seats center 3 row, and noticed some reserved seats in the first 2 rows for pay. Not sure, but many were empty and the reserve sign were removed 15 minutes prior to the start of the performance.
Saw Mama Mia on the Allure in 2012. Am sailing on her again July 1 - 8, 2018.
Would appreciate it if you would respond when the show was available on your cruise. What days of the cruise and times of the show.
Thank you

Staying at Embassy Suites 17th St. on June 30th. Are there any good Restaurants within a short waling distance of hotel.

The nightlight is to the right of the door on all their ships. I sailed on the Star in DV and the Sky in PV. I always have duct tape and scotch tape on my cruises. Just tape a piece of paper over the light leaving just a little of the light exposed. If you don't have tape, ask the room stewart for some.
Have a great cruise.
I forgot to say " when the bathroom is on the left as you enter the room"

$38.
What ship did you get a drink package for $38.00 and what year as that?
-
I'm not happy with the way it's presented. The package wouldn't be worth it unless a great deal, then it would be a matter of convenience.
I'm on Oasis April1. They were advertising $45 (plus gratuity) per day. Not bad but not a must have for me. Now today they added a Buy one get one 50% off on top of the other ad. Yes it STILL says 45/day.
I called because the result I got was well more than Buy one get one half off of $45. The total they quoted is $743 including the 18% gratuity. Not sure exactly how they come to that.
$45.00 per day + 18% gratuity = $53.10 per day x 7 days = $371.70 x 2 people = $743.40 total
Doesn't look like you are getting the 50% off.

Couple of quick questions:
For staterooms which include a complimentary bottle of champagne, is it possible to swap it for a bottle of wine?
On the included tours, usually how many guests are in a single group/coach?
Yes you can get the wine.
Probably around 30

I always take my mini Ipad on the shore excursions and I snap a photo of the Bus and it's license plate to make sure I get on the right bus. Sometimes they do not have their Group Number displayed.

Was on Viking river cruise (Paris to he Alps) in April (2017) and purchased 2 - $100.00 Future Cruise vouchers and used them when I booked my November (2017) Viking Sun cruise.

Seriously looking at a window cabin, deck 9, overlooking Central Park on the Allure. Quiet is probably first consideration, then view, Any experiences ? This will be first time on Oasis class ship.
First time on the Allure (2010) we had a Balcony.
Second time on the Allure (2012) we had Central Park on Deck 9.
We are booked on the Allure (July 1, 2018) we will have Central Park again.
Beware there are several CP staterooms on Deck 9 with obstructed view.
Otherwise, the rooms are large and you will love the view.

You might be able to find pictures from a specific room here
www shipcabins dot com
Great web site. Thank you
Walter

The obstruction is the bow of the ship, you can look straight out , but looking down is the heli pad. By request of the captain some quests in a few cabins are asked to keep the curtains closed at night
Thanks for the info. How was your experience with this type room? Any pros or cons with this location of room? What deck were you on? I am getting a family cruise together and there are 8 rooms available with this location. You input would help in my decision.
Thanks
Walter
