Mmmm my understanding from the Gov Website is that E visas are still available, just not Visa upon arrival, hopefully CBC have got it wrong.

We had to pay by cc 10 days prior to cruise departure. Once the cc payment was processed, we received details where to meet, etc. We did use Euros for tips.
Thank you !

Do Italytours allow you to pay in cash on the day of the trip like their sister company in Spain
Or does everything have to be paid by C Card upfront ?
We have Euros to use and so dont really want to have to pay out on a credit card.
There's very limited info on their website .
Thx in advance

You will be assigned a new Azamara club number. Your status should be grandfathered, though. It is ideal if you have some proof to show them what your CC number and status were, as the problem seems to be that in the transition to the new system that information was not transferred over.
Thank you !

We used our celebrity captains club number on our last Azamara cruise and the same number on a 2024 sailing. The future cruise has transferred over without it and is showing a completely new number and no status ? My understanding was our Status would be grandfathered and we could continue to use the same Cc number.
Does anyone know if this is the case or do we need a new Azamara club number? If that’s the case how can we link the history and status ?

Thanks for the review ! Cant wait to get back onboard.

Did they test you between the B2B cruises ?

We are booked in 6052 on the Journey which I believe may be above Mosaics Cafe ??
Don't see that cabin listed in the cabin spreadsheet so wondering if anyone has experienced noise from the Cafe below ?
Thanks in adavance

Slightly off topic rather than start a new thread not a Transatlantic but wondering about the Bay of Bengal crossing ?
Not familiar with this part of the World, does the Bay of Bengal have a similar reputation to say the Bay of Biscay for motion ??
We are considering our second sailing with Azamara as we loved the first one so much, however we were in the shelter of the Suez Canal for that trip. Now would like to do the Singapore to Athens but DH suffers in a swell. Its that part of the trip thats making me think should we shouldnt we ? (other than the hassle of the Indian visa but thats a whole different conversation)
Any insights on the expectation of motion on this route would help us make a decision..
Thank you in advance for any advice

What dining room are you in, and what time did you set up in the app? Are you in a table for 2 with the park bench crowd seats.
Going to be sailing on her soon.
Mahalo
Da Vinci, set up for 7:40 in the app, then hostess at Da Vinci ammended it to 7.30. Not park bench seating, we dont like those, set up at a regular table

We're on board the Crown right now doing a 15 day Hawaii and the food and service have been excellent.
As Jeromep mentioned food and presentation is very subjective but I havent heard one complaint onboard. DMW is a bit of a nightmare but the dining room waiters work really hard to get everyone seated at their preferred table size. We've been given the same table for 2 for the whole trip and have had no issues.
Dining room was not open for embarkation lunch, however International Cafe worked well.
Can't comment on the buffet as we avoid going upstairs. Dining Room has been busy at both Breakfast and Lunch. International Cafe is also very busy and the only problem has been trying to get seated in the Piazza to eat or drink.
After a not so spectacular post Covid dining/service experience on the Grand last year, after over 35 saiings with Princess we fully expected this to be our last trip with them, but to their credit they have really knocked it out of the park on this ship. We are well pleased !
Enjoy your trip to Alaska.

There is indeed local bus service from downtown (not necessarily the pier, but within about 8 blocks). Take bus 20, 40, 42, 51, or A, from the Bishop Street / North Beretania Street bus stop or North Beretania Street bus stop opposite Smith Street (depending upon your bus route). It's an easy slightly uphill 10-to-12 minute walk from Pier 11 to either bus stop. I recommend you Google it to review your route based upon day and time of day. Just be sure you select the bus icon. The bus ride itself will take 40-55 minutes depending upon the route and time of day. Once you arrive at the Pearl Harbor Memorial stop, you'll cross the highway at a crosswalk to get to the memorial (5 min).
Thank you..I'll check out the bus routes, I see we are docking at pier 2

Do not bet your 401(k) on that one! I'd recommend asking the VERY SPECIFIC question: "Does your tour INCLUDE a timed ticket for the launch out to the USS Arizona itself?" On two cruises through Honolulu I've seen a whole pea pot full of people disappointed that their tour did NOT include the launch out to the USS Arizona itself.
Very good point, it doesn't actually specify the launch is included...and looks like its sold out anyway..
Checked with the NPS site and launch tkts all gone, looks like the next release is the day before we dock probably for cancellations..
Oh well its an excuse to go back on another trip !
Thanks everyone for your responses

All of these things are essentially separate-- the Bowfin and Missouri are commercial enterprises with entry fees and are not run by the National Park Service.
USS Arizona Memorial is part of the National Park Service and is administered by the US Navy. There is no fee to go to the Arizona Memorial (aside from the $1 administration fee) but you do need to reserve tickets ahead of time. Do so directly with the NPS at https://www.recreation.gov/ticket/233338/ticket/16.
Do not buy tickets for the Arizona Memorial from any other site but this one.
How do you get to the USS Arizona Memorial from the Cruise Port ?
Is there a local bus service ?
The ship has tours available but at a huge cost and we'd prefer to do it on our own
Thx in advance for any information

Well we flew home earlier this week after 21nights on the Reflection! Our first Celebrity cruises for nearly 3 years, it was a wonderful trip! Although we have cruised many times on Celebrity and are Elite plus we have been trying a few other lines lately. These cruises had been cancelled three times due to the Pandemic, and with all the pre testing and the stress of what would happen if one of us tested positive before or worse still if the test was required before the second voyage! But hey everything turned out fine. Weather was glorious, the ship was well maintained and food was as good as we have had for a long time.
Enjoyed so much that I have just booked another Mediterranean b2b for next September on the same ship. The crew were told they could choose to wear masks on the second cruise and most stopped wearing them, it was lovely to see their happy smiles. Hopefully this is another step forward and life can get back to some kind of normality. Just wanted to let you all know what a positive time we had, as Captain Michael says life is beautiful enjoy it! Dianne
Thanks for posting the positive feedback, we’re on the Reflection next Sept B2B first time on this ship. Maybe we’re on the same sailings!

Can anyone shed any light as to why when my DH sign's into his account the number of CC points hasn't moved since they linked his account with mine, its like its frozen in time ! Yet the number shown when he receives his marketing and Celebrity selects emails is going up with PUP points (although not all PUPs are being added to his)
Its Bizarre, Mine are fine everything gets credited correctly.
I've tried calling but nothing gets fixed.. Arghh
I'm seriously thinking of asking them to unlink the account as he didn't even get points added for our recent sailing.
Just curious, for those who have linked accounts when you sign in is your number of points shown the same as what is displayed in your PUP invite/marketing emails ?

Yes, it does. Shampoo and conditioner of course.
May seem an odd question ..are the bottles of shampoo and conditioner 2 separate items ?
Hopefully not the single shampoo/conditioner combination most major lines are now using.
It would be nice not to have to pack those.

Interesting information on this thread !
We too were on the same cruise as the OP and masked for 95% of the time, avoided the crowds and were ultra cautious as we couldn't get a 2nd booster ( 7 months since 1st). DH tested positive 2 days after and I was a few days behind.
Cruised in early May and were fine so not sure if the waning immunity played a part.
Just received the same text as sunviking90 about the fall rollout and to wait for an invitation, but
we're cruising again in October in the Med/Middle east and not sure whether to wait for the BC fall rollout (hopefully Omicron included vax) or try to get a 2nd booster now just in case BC is behind the 8ball with the New Vax roll out to our age group.

Yes, Broberts is correct. No covid test required if crossing the border by car on either side. ARRIVE CAN is required on the return trip to Canada.
Thank you , Broberts & son3cruisers you've put my mind at ease, so many things changing daily !

My nexus expired on December 2020. Applied for renewal in 2020 and had to wait for an interview. Had the interview in Niagara Falls US yesterday. Took 15 minutes and I was done.
I would check the website many times a day to see if an opening came up. On a regular basis, openings came for Detroit. There were not as many for Niagara falls but one showed up 10PM prior to the day of the interview.
So you just have to keep trying. They dont stay available very long as there are a lot of people looking for interviews.
Did you have to provide a covid test to cross the border for your Nexus appt in the US ?
I've been watching for cancellations but not sure of the current cross border protocols.
I believe we have to complete arrivecan to get back into Canada before we leave...

Beware Canadians Travelling to Egypt - New Process for Visa
in Canadian Cruisers
Posted
mmm thats interesting.. this is Azamara's response today !
Hello,
It does mean Canadians will have to secure their visas ahead of the cruise and before they are in Egypt. We will not be able to assist when they are onboard due to this change.
Kind regards,
