The Drowsy Chaperone would be fun.

I've never been on a ship with a Broadway show on it. Is it like Broadway where there is an intermission or are they doing a very pared down version to make it fit a smaller time frame?
Typically a 90ish min, no-intermission versionÂ

Based on the track record of previous shows (all the musicals have been Jukebox shows and/or movies with movie adaptations)
Â
I would say likely choices include Tina, Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond (although this is still on Broadway, so less likely), Escape to Margaritaville the Jimmy Buffet musical, The Cher Show, &Juliet (same situation as Beautiful Noise), Beautiful the Carol King musical, and Motown the Musical.Â

I love Mama Mia, The ice show & Blue Planet. Oceanaria is just okay, and really needs a remake like Oasis got with Aqua80. (Aqua70 would be nice LOL) I will be disappointed if they get rid of Blue Planet.
Â
Â
OceanAria and Blue Planet were to be replaced during the amplificaiton that was cancelled during Covid. Not sure if they will be eventually retired

Wizard of Oz boring?? Growing up with Oz, never boring to me in over probably 50 or 60 times. I'll welcome that with standing ovation! Thanks for making my day! BTW typo I meant Costa Maya not Porta Maya, I've been there 6 times.
A boring choice not necessarily a boring show, there are lots of newer and exciting shows with just as vast of appeal, but Oz is a very safe and  boring choice. I still think the RCCL production will still be very well done with cool staging and effects. -
Unconfirmed, but I believe the musical onboard will be Wizard of Oz.
Â
Boring choice in my opinion, but is family-friendly and will be able to use lots of the tech elements and effects in the theatre. Also, potentially it will be the ALW version of the show as they have an established relationship producing other ALW shows.Â

Bump.

Have the BeerProv Improv shows returned to any of the ships post-Covid restart?
-
-
Am I confused because of the angle or is the kids pool/waterpark going to be in the spot of the "main pool" of the current ships? Seems to look that way. That would make sense placing it closer to the water slides.
-
Never seen them...never hope to! Snow-cones are awful, unless you use shaved ice..not crushed....and you MUST have excellent quality syrup, which I can GUARANTEE the ship does NOT possess!
Â
It’s not that serious.

Fine Line is the main Aqua show. Includes acrobats, diving, flying, and high wire. This is the main show, compared to Oasis of Dreams and OceanAria on Oasis/Allure, but this is a bigger show.
Â
Hideaway Heist is the daytime aqua show. Still a show, but not as big of spectacle. This is comparable to Splish Splash on Oasis or Let Me Entertain You on Allure.
Â
Fine Line is bookable, Hideaway will just be scheduled on the compass.

Omg 5 people in a cabin with one bathroom. That is extremely tight. Not much of a vacation. I would reconsider.

I would reconsider this comment.

Only the Oasis and Quantum class have the blue hulls . They are like a light baby blue. When the ship is in bright water it does look more white.
Â
The blue paint is more environmentally friendly and I think more aerodynamic, but I could be making that second part up.
-
It has always been blue.

Food is better on Princess.
Shows and activities are way better on Royal.
Staff depends on the sailing.
MUCH older crowd on Princess.

The crew will never tell you that you are inconveniencing them or that they would prefer that you not do something unless it is a clear policy violation. The issue is not holding up preparations for second seating. It is the system in the galley for getting out each course. People who show up late don't allow the system to run smoothly as it was designed.
Â
The other option that guests who don't like the dining times have is to eat at Cabanas for dinner. It is a sit down restaurant in the evening' date=' not a buffet. The atmosphere and food are excellent--better than the MDRs. It is not open on the first or last night of a cruise. You show up at the podium any time during the hours it is open and will be shown to a table and given a menu.[/quote']
Â
15 minutes does not cause a major issue whatsoever...

Profanity can get you kicked off the ship. Alcohol is no excuse.
Â
Really...

RCI on board entertainment (especially on Oasis Class) is the best, period. But I really enjoyed Celebrity's upscale service and food. I want to enjoy the best of both worlds on my next cruise, but RCI is not the same as some years ago, and Celebrity isn't as fun as RCI (I want water slide at least). Is Disney an option, or should I stay with RCI and ignore the detrimental on food and service?
Â
Give NCL a try. The Breakaway, Getaway, Bliss, Escape and Epic all have Broadway shows and comedy clubs as well as large water parks!

You went on an older smaller ship the newer larger ships have many wonderful shows:
Â
Harmony of the Seas and Independence of the Seas- Grease
Anthem of the Seas- We will Rock You
Oasis of the Seas- Cats
Allure of the Seas- Mamma Mia
Liberty of the Seas- Saturday Night Fever
Allure of the Seas-Chicago
Â
Each ship has a second production show also plus the wonderful Ice Show!
Â
Allure no longer has Chicago.
-
Hairspray is a fantastic show, but I am surprised they are reviving it on a new ship. However, last time it was on Oasis the ensemble used pre-recorded vocals and some featured parts, so hopefully this "newer and bigger" production will be all live vocals (which all shows have been after Hairspray).

We are looking at a 10 day on the Royal Princess for this Spring Break. The itnerary is great, and so is the price.
Â
1. Do they have the fountains turned on during the day for kids?
Â
2. Room Service? Free 24/7? Does anyone have a menu?
Â
3. Will younger kids be bored? 7 and 10 years old
Â
4. Is anytime dining similar to Royal, where reservations are pretty much requred? Or carnival, where you get a pager.
Â
5. Anything else that would good to know?
Â
Thanks.

I am booked on second sitting for dinner
Â
1. A friend only had option on any time ... Is this because traditional seating all gone and to just keep checking for cancellations
Â
2. Any idea what times the musical show will be
Â
Really struggling to find info
Â
Thank you :)
Â
Â
Yes, ask to be waitlisted.
Â
Grease will be the Broadway musical!

We are looking at doing our first cruise on Celebrity this spring break. It will be the 10 day on the Equinox. I have a few questions as we usually sails Royal Caribbean and NCL.
Â
What will we miss the most from Royal/NCL?
What will we love that is new to us on Celebrity?
What is the crowd like?
Food?
Entertainment?
We are Diamond on Royal, What perks transfer over?
Â
Thanks!

The 2nd show is in rehearsals.
