  1. Are there any good snorkeling options around 7 mile beach that you can recommend?  Is snorkeling good at any of the beaches?  Previously we always went to Calico Jacks, but I've found they are no longer there.  Looking for new options.  All adults in our party of 6 and we love the water.

  2. We are looking for snorkeling options for our stop in Ocho Rios.  I see several posts about Dunn River Falls and the Black Hole (?), but we have a couple in our party who I don't think can do the falls due to bad knees and we're hoping for find a snorkeling option.  Anything you can recommend?  Or is there another fun water option that doesn't include the falls?  Thank you for any information you can share.

  3. We've cruised many times, but this will be our first Celebrity cruise.  A few questions...does everyone in your cabin (of drinking age) have to purchase the drink package or can just one?  Is there a daily limit to your drinks?  What is the average price of a frozen cocktail?

I know on Carnival you can buy "cruise cash" to have an onboard credit, does Celebrity offer this?  Is there an ice cream machine on Celebrity?

Anything else I should know about Celebrity vs Carnival? Thank you for your time!

  4. I know that if you buy alcohol at one of the ports they take it from you and give it back the last night of the cruise.  My question is what is the best way to transport it on your flight home?  Do they box it for you on the ship? Can you carry it onto the plane?  Any helpful advise would be appreciated.

  5. So I have a situation where early today I did a mock booking for our cruise and it went down $145 per cabin.  I did a screen shot so I have the proof, but my Carnival rep is saying that it was a typo error so they can't honor it.  My comment was most places honor typos such as this so they are checking further.  Thoughts?  Am I wrong to expect them to honor the price I have a printout for?

  6. I keep receiving special offers through email with special "rate codes".  Is there a way to search online using these rate codes along with my VIP# or do you have to call?  I don't want to call since I don't have a set date for my cruise, but would like to browse the savings with the rate codes for various dates at my leisure.  Thank you.

  7. This may be common knowledge, but for newbie's it might be helpful.  If you're unsure about purchasing the drink package because you're not sure you would "drink that much" here is an option that I'm using for my cruise next week.  I've been buying cruise cash, not the bar or photo, but the cruise cash.  We'll be boarding the ship knowing we already have "drink money" and we won't lose it because we can use it anywhere or cash it out in the casino.

  8. all of my SIL's did this for my MIL a couple of years ago for a girls only cruise.  We found a picture of the ship and printed it out and then wrapped it in a box.  Then everyone gave her little "cruise" gifts.  A hat, beachbag, etc.  We made her open those first so she was really confused as those aren't normal gifts we would give her.  Then after everyone had opened all of their presents we said "oh you have one more".  That's when she opened the ship box and everything made sense.

  9. I love large jewelry so I recently bought a 3 ring binder and several pencil pouches (with different size compartments).  The pouches were made to go in the 3 ring binder.  My larger pieces fit great in the large compartments and you could easily wrap them in tissue for further protection.  So when it's all done you have a jewelry book that you can flip through with everything nice and protected.  It's flat enough that it doesn't take up much room in a suitcase either.

  10. I'm sure this has been gone through before, but asking again is easier than searching :)  I'm lookin to put money down on our S&S before we leave so we'll have a credit on board to spend on whatever we want (gratuities, shopping, beverages, etc.).  Would I be buying the Cruise Cash card?  I thought I read that it's a use or lose it program at the end of the cruise.  Can this be used in the casino instead of putting actual money in take it out of your S&S?  Any ups or downs I need to know about the Cruise Cash?

  11. Can someone please tell me what Bar Cash is and how it works. Also where do you buy it at. We are not heavy drinkers, maybe 3-4 pp each day so the Cheers we don't feel is worth it for us, but Bar Cash has my interest peaked.

    Thank you!

  12. First time on Victory in a couple of weeks! Can anyone tell me if they have the Free Style soda machines? Does anyone have any current menus for the main dining room? Other than the usual free places to eat on board; main dining room and buffet area, pool side grill (?) are there any others?

I've cruised several Carnival ships, but first time on this one and I'm taking 3 other first time cruisers so I'm trying to gather as much information as I can so I can be as helpful as i can to everyone in our party. Anything else you can contribute about this ship, please do! clear.png?emoji-smile-1742

  13. Does anyone know the cost (per person) of just going to either of the historic forts on your own and doing the tour and walking around? Not sure which one we really want to do, so cost for both would be great. There will be 6 of us, all adults.

  14. Need ideas for a beach...prefer to find one that offers snorkeling, black sand (kids have never seen that), chairs, food & drink would be a bonus and not to far from the port. Coming in on RCCL. If possible would like to spent part of the day beaching and then touring Brimstone and maybe shopping at a the local markets. Is this even possible? Will take any thoughts and suggestions. Youngest will be 18 and oldest 50.

  15. Sailing Royal Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale and looking for suggestions for reasonably priced hotels for the night before sailing. Ideally would love to find a suite that would sleep 5/6, but a standard room for 4 would work if necessary. Thank you!
