Fyi 10% only valid door to door
if you like to make your own travel arrangements, it wont apply

We booked a year out for our sailing and there were excursions that were already sold out. Some ports had 1 tour and it was a walking tour.
there have been a few tours added in the past month but most are walking tours.
we prefer crystal to SSEA but found pricing similar and SSea included excursions
when you are unable to get an excursion that is of interest, the included excursions no longer factor in to costs. Will be looking at Crystal next go round.

Sadly, we’ve never sailed in a suite, and happily, we’ve never experienced any friction in the laundry room 😊
We have only sailed Azamara once and we were upgraded from a balcony to a suite. Alas it was 10 years ago when still part of rccl.

Bummer
we are in a standard veranda

Website states 1 bag per 7 night cruise. Would this mean 2 bags on a 12 night cruise.
this is for discoverer level.
thank you

I think that is a really negative side of allowing people to book excursions as soon as they put a deposit on a cruise.
I have no issue with that however, they are charging me for excursions and there aren’t any

We are booked in January on the moon. Originally there were a few excursions listed per port. If there are any listed now, they are full. You cannot even waitlist. 9 months out.
not feeling like we are getting what we paid for.

Dawn in February offerings were abysmal
hoping for improvement by next January

My .02 I agree that Celebrity is more expensive or equally expensive to silversea.
if i book veranda cabin on both and add in coffee, alcohol, excursions, room service, laundry
the price difference is minimal

Just received our room assignment about 3 months out. Got upgraded to a superior veranda from a vista on the Dawn, so I’m happy.
I hope everyone else with gtys also gets upgraded and receives their assignments in advance. I don’t think I would have been happy waiting until we boarded, especially since looks like cruise is filling up, almost all rooms are waitlisted.
good luck to all and happy sailing!
We leave in a week. No notification yet.

for a low-cost taste of luxury cruising, an Oceanview on Crystal is a selling point.
Agree. We have our first SSea booked but we loved Crystal and would be happy to sail them again

And likely you paid Applebee prices for your cruise, so it’s not a fair comparison. The food at Luminae, the restaurant for suite guests, is the one to compare with Silversea.
Yes, it was a inexpensive cruise. But if my choice is silversea or crystal or a suite on celebrity, for ME my choice is clear.

Is Applebees that bad? 🙂
Its not what I would choose for 10 days.
actually, I would never choose them.

The one exception to X pricing is on the M-class ships, where the PH Suite is still reasonably priced and comes with a 1,100sqft veranda with 120 degree view. Just my (non-inflationary) two cents.
We sailed this winter on an M-class ship. Came home sold my stock and said NEVER AGAIN. WE FOUND THE FOOD DREADFUL. We were not in suite class. It was like sailing and eating at applebees every night.
sorry i sold my stock tho as it has gone up, and it appears SS may now offer the credit.

Thats a bummer, i just unloaded 😑😑

Picked up the requisite 100 shares back in 2009 for something just shy of$15, and have used it a couple of dozen times, so I'm not complaining.
Me too, but i unloaded my shares after my last celebrity cruise in February.
We have sailed Crystal a few times and loved them but options are limited with 2 ships so we are trying SS in February 2024.

Im a fan of Hendricks as well…if no elderflower tonic available, a splash of st. Germaine will do the trick.

A good TA saves $ and is priceless.
If you cannot get a personal referral, Find one that deals volume with SS.

This will be my first Silversea trip, being a seasoned Celebrity cruiser. I think I'm going to be in for a treat based on what I'm reading.
First and foremost GO BIRDS.
We too are seasoned Celebrity cruises looking forward to our first SS cruise.
we were very happy with our 2 Crystal sailings but ready for something new.
again
GO 🦅

We recently sailed Celebrity and I am here doing research. We have sailed Crystal and love them, but currently no itinerary works for us in 2024.
Our celebrity sailing was like a week at the red roof inn. Dreadful. Will not sail them again. We have sailed them probably 20 times. The product is not even remotely close to past sailings.

Is the select alcohol package what comes with Olife? Where is there info on the O website with this information.
thanks
Interesting the update here on Celebrity Status match. Its a good thing Silversea included and levels changed
in Celebrity Cruises
