Sounds like fun! I recommend getting emails from Scott's Cheap Flights. They send you notifications when there's a good flight deal (I see Europe deals all the time).
Thank you!! I see one can join for $49/year. Do you think that's necessary?

There was an offer today that was too good to pass up! I was talking to hubby on the phone about the cruise, and he said we would discuss when he comes home. I saw that the deal was disappearing (the balcony rooms were no longer available) so I jumped on it! I'm very excited, but haven't been to Europe. We go to Germany next month, but I know nothing about planning this trip.
1) What kind of price should I look for for one-way airfare for 2 to London?
2) If the cruise leaves early on Sunday, what's the latest you would arrive in London?
3) Which airline(s) should I watch for cheap airfare? Any websites you recommend?
4) Stops are in Le Havre France, La Coruna Spain, Leixoes (Porta) Portugal, Lisbon Portugal, Gibraltar, Malaga Spain and ending in Barcelona Spain. If there's anything that rings a bell and we HAVE to do or see, can you please let me know?
5) I think my hubby is going to fly home from Barcelona while I'm going to go to Baumholder Germany (12 hours by train) to visit my son and his family. They were just stationed there. Does this seem like a plan or do you predict a problem?6) I read about transportation by National Express. Should I take that from London to Dover? I'm guessing Dover is cheaper to stay than London. Unfortunately my husband won't have much time off for us to explore London. Next time!
Thank you so much!! I think I have lots of research ahead of me. I can't wait! 322 days!! -
Does anyone know what the IMAX theater will play on the Horizon? I wonder how new the movies are. Specifically, The Lion King comes out when we're on board. What are the chances it'll be played in the IMAX theater? (crossing fingers!!)
-
Thanks for the review and being available for questions. What did you do in the ports? We're on the Horizon with this itenerary on July 13. Can't wait!

Great review! Thank you!! I love your positive outlook on things with some truths. We leave July 13 and I can't wait!!

Watching and wondering the same....Thanks!!

We were on the Dream 2 weeks ago. Late dining was aft in the Scarlet dining room. We didn't have any vibration issues and sat right by the windows. I think the Crimson dining room mid-ship is YTD.

Bonus points?? Oh I wish I had time to learn to juggle!! This sounds great! Thanks so much-

Do these 12-packs have to be in the box, or can they be just 12 cans in a carry on? Thanks so much!!
-
1) Don't try to do it all, take time to chill.
2) Walk the whole ship as soon as you feel like it. You'll never know what you'll find and what you'll want to return to.
3) 99% of the people on board are just as happy as you and want to have a good time. Don't let the grumpy 1% get you down.
4) Once you go with a balcony room, you'll never go back. Don't do it! 😉

17 days for the Dream!

Thanks for the review...made a note about getting into the comedy club. Hitting the same cruise on March 3! Can't wait!

Thanks for the review! We leave March 3 and hope some of the bands you mentioned are there. Thanks for focusing on something other than food!

I get the flu shot each year, but got the flu last January. Drs. said that it was a mild case of the flu since I was vaccinated. I can't imagine a full blown case! My immune system is down, but I'll be armed with lysol tons of Emergen C, and hand washing! Yikes!!
I'm sorry the flu ruined your trip. That doesn't sound fun at all. -

I'm so glad you had insurance! Thank you for posting this. I am 1/2 way through Cancer treatments and worried about cruising and getting sick. This post is teaching me to be more proactive with Lysol and hand washing. We cruise on the Dream March 3.

Yep,,,your best option, IMO, is to head over to see the Maitre'd on embarkation day, and request (very nicely) a change to early seating. (That is if you don't get it assigned when you get your "sign-n-sail" card.) I've had very good luck doing this, and almost always get my requested change. Check with the Guest Services desk, or even the FunTImes for the exact spot, (which dining room) and the time he/she will be there taking requests. Good Luck!

Thank you! This is what I'll have to try. No big worry if it's Anytime, but I've always seen so many empty tables, I thought that there could possibly be a way to get it changed...it's worth a try, anyway. 😉

What does this mean?
Yes, we booked our cruise 27 days before it leaves. I've never done this before. How realistic is it to believe that we'll get off the wait list and get the 6:00 dining? Do I just stand by and wait? 8:15 dining has a wait list too.
Does it mean that we show up at 6 and wait to be seated? I don't know what this means.Thank you!!

We just got a balcony last night. I can't imagine any of them being bad. We just make sure there are beds above and below us, like others have mentioned, using the Dream Deck Plans. Which level is your preference. We loved the front of the Lido deck with our last cruise...no noise, and no elevators needed to walk to the pool!
This year, it wasn't available so we're on Level 8. We like to be up in the ship to be close to the decks, but others like to be low and closer to the water. Some say they can see dolphins and such!Warning: you'll never go back!

Thanks everyone!
We usually reserve a year in advance, but decided last minute to get a cruise. Interesting, richstowe, about the put up or shut up dates. That makes sense!
Fortunately we are able to pounce on a cruise right now for 27 days from now. I'm so happy and hubby is the BEST!! -
Great suggestions, thank you! We usually stay at the Microtel in Slidell the night before a cruise, but it was booked. We're going to stay in Haddiesburg. We can't get on the ship until 1:30, but you'd better believe we'll be down there early. I didn't think about early morning being quiet in N.O. That makes sense! We also got covered parking in Fulton Garage. I was surprised that there were still some spots available!
I can't believe how many rooms are available on the ship. Maybe that's a good sign. I'm so excited. We usually book a year or more in advance. We needed this last minute decision of a trip so badly!!
Thanks again, y'all!!
Carnival Breeze Review (Feb. 29 to March 7 sailing)

Thanks for the review! We hope we're sailing on July 11. We love Jack's Shack but never have been to the other 3. I made notes! I read about Magen's Bay somewhere else. Are there bathrooms? Chairs on the beach? Adult beverages? Is it as beautiful as I've read? How much was the taxi to and from? Were taxis hard to find?
Sorry about the bombardment of questions! Thanks in advance!
