  1. I've been in the YC several times and have only had one issue with a child and his parents. I was in the pool and his mother was letting him jump and splash without consideration to the others in the pool. Kids will be kids, he was having fun but that's a small pool. Go to the big main pool was my thought. I got out since mom didn't give a damn. Other then that always polite kids with great parenting.

I also think it's not MSC or their staff to parent someone else's child. The staff is being nice to the children because they have to or they want an extra tip.... come on they have plenty to do you think they want to deal with screaming kids and pissed passengers. That truly is not a waiters job in LeMuse.

  2. Yes this happened to many on Divina. There are older threads with this advice good to bring it back up.

Remember this is a European cruise line so everything goes thru their bank in France.

It's not just the transaction fees it's charges being declined because your cc company or bank thinks it's a fraudulent charge. Let your bank and/or cc company know ahead of time so you won't run into issues, islands your traveling to and the foreign bank.

  3. Whenever I review anything I say its my personal experience. I read the good and bad reviews, I want to know both sides. I take into account people like and dislike different things and it's all relative.

People also have a tendency to blame the company for things that aren't even in their control. If you catch the flu how do blame the cruise line?

Make up your own mind. If I had believed all the bad reviews about Divina I would have never gone and I would have missed out on some exceptional cruises and the Yacht Club.

  4. Why do people think everyone has to like or want to be around dogs and cats? If you truly need a support dog I understand, they are specially trained and a necessity. Your dog from home that you get a note from your doctor for so it can go anywhere with you just isn't cute.

I don't want to be in a dinning room full of dogs on laps and tables while I'm eating.

Where are they walking these dogs while at sea?

What happens when the dog barks all night or day for that matter?

  5. I have had to speak with customer service many times with MSC for various "glitches" with their system and I tag team them with my TA... As far as out sourcing this has been going on for 2 years now. I think they are full of it. Its an Italian cruise line so "out sourcing" to India?? Why? It's not like the US out sourcing. It's 2018 they need to get it together... Out sourcing, in sourcing.... Excuses are tools for the incompetent!!

  6. Never had a shower issue in the YC. The step in is a bit high but other then that I love the shower, water pressure is fabulous. It has a hand held shower head so if your a happy sprayer you could wet up things or watch how to put it back in it's holder, make sure to angle it down. I use one at home so it's second nature for me to angle down and away from door/curtain. If it does get extra wet just throw an extra towel on the floor.

  7. Not according to the rep I booked with in UK MSC office. She told me categorically that once you're assigned a YC cabin, you will NOT be moved.

Well I hope that's right because it's not what I've been told here in the US and if you go back on threads people have had cabin changes for no real reasons, let alone something reasonable.

So what they tell you is if the YC isn't completely booked but there is a party of 3 and your a party of 2 in a room for 3/4 you absolutely get to keep your room and that party is just out of luck?

I don't know about that and I certainly don't trust MSC to stand by that.

  8. I love the Divina and the yacht club, if it wasn't for the YC and the price I wouldn't sail on MSC. It's always something with them prior to my cruise.

I'm dealing with an issue now. Yes I have had bad customer service before with other companies but MSC is consistently awful and I have had various problems. I just wish they would get it together.

Im glad you got your problem fixed I hope they fix mine after they told me it was fixed!!

  9. Not sure which drink package comes with Aurea but the YC is unlimited drinks. Now the unlimited drinks for YC guests is honored thru out the ship. Plus you get a stocked mini bar in your room. Aside from the drinks I really enjoy not not having to fight over pool chairs or just being able to get a quick snack without crowds. Best views are when your sitting Top Sail lounge.

  10. I'm going to park at the actual port this time in Miami. I've learned because MSC is in the last docking area by the time the shuttle gets to you it's full, any shuttle! Im just not for it this time, last time I ended up catching a cab to the garage.

I come from Orlando and it's about 3.5 - 4 hours and I drive over the limit. I do take the turnpike and pick it up either straight out of Orlando if I feel like dealing with I-4 (massive construction in that area) or Ft Pierce. If your close to Disney pick it up in Orlando, if your coming from Jacksonville your on 95 already and at Ft Pierce 95 and the turnpike are basically side by side so no going West for many miles to get on it.

On the turnpike the speed limit is also higher! 70 all the way unlike 95.

  11. I still can't figure out why MSC can't get itself together. I had problems doing my web check in, don't be a US citizen traveling with a Canadian citizen. They make it hard for something that should be easy. They have been trying to fix issues with their site for at least 2 years.

The biggest issue right now is they have me as Gold status. I have been Black card for more then a year, now all of a sudden I'm Gold. I actually was told I've NEVER had Black status. I have been on at least 5 cruises in the Yacht Club each time, one of my trips was a 10 night B2B!! I actually was asked to prove that I had a Black card... Not that they ever sent me an actual card, but it was on me to prove it. Thank goodness I had taken a picture of my Black status room key which I emailed to customer service. Hopefully they will get it straight before my September cruise.

I can't figure out why they can't see all my cruises and correct points. 30+ minutes on the phone with them.

It's ALWAYS something with them. I love the YC but sometimes I wonder if it's worth the aggregation, hassle and incompetence.
