Silversea recently held a lunch in the Morrison Hotel in Dublin.We were invited but unfortunately unable to attend. I remember they have been held possibly last year also in the Morrison Hotel and The Merrion Hotel prior to that.

We are sailing on Silver Spirit. It's not a big deal, but I was surprised that it wasn't possible.

Has anyone ever requested balcony partitions to be opened

On adjoining suites?

I have requested this but was told it isn't possible?

Interested in hearing if this is standard procedure.

We are sailing Spirit next month from Rome. We have pre booked some speciality restaurants, although Le Champagne was full at the time (early August). Has anyone had this problem but was still able to get a reservation on board?

I really appreciate all the great advice from everyone on this forum, and am hoping for any extra advice on special request dining.

What are your favourite meals that you request?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I forwarded Reprieve's case on Shafqat to all my friend and my daughter did the same. Was so relieved with the news last night. Hopefully justice will prevail eventually.

Terry, lucky you with your forthcoming cruise to the Amazon from Barbados.

We have booked a holiday there also and I just wanted to advise you of Chikungunya Virus in Barbados and Grenadines incase you didn't know to take precautions. This is caused by Mosquitoes that bite also during the day and if repellent isn't used the virus can be debilitating.

I know you have had your Yellow Fever shots and are well prepared for the Amazon. Have a fab trip and look forward to your posts!

Spirit would be similar to Regent. You are correct that Spirit caters to families during the Summer Med Period. I have just posted offers that cut the cruises into shorter segments, you might want to check it out. As this might affect you. Shadow/ Whisper are my favourites of the Fleet. I would definitely give Silversea a try though. I'm not keen on the All Inclusive Shore Excursions by Regent.

Azamara announced on their website yesterday,that they have changed their 3 ports in the Ukraine on the 12 June voyage on Quest.

Their substitutions are, overnight on Istanbul (scenic Bosphorus cruising),Bartin (Amazra/Safranbolu) Turkey, Volos (Meteora) Greece, and Nafplion( Mycenae) Greece.

Disappointing to see Silversea leaving passengers in Limbo!
