  1. I agree that the thermal suite would be a nice perk in December, especially for the 3 sea days in your itinerary.

Call me crazy, but I actually want the spa pass for the snow room they are adding on Escape! We don't get a lot of the pretty white stuff here in SC.

All jokes aside, that is what I am doing... keeping the mini suite & getting a spa pass! :-)

    Thanks, all!

  2. Good morning, all!

My husband and I are going on Escape in December for our 10 year anniversary. We are currently booked in a mini-suite, but I am considering changing to a spa balcony. I know that Escape is a new ship, so it will be anyone's guess as to which is a "better" option, but generally speaking, what are the benefits to each, which would you do, and why?

    Thanks in advance! :-)

  3. We have cruised Carnival, Royal, & NCL. My favorite is NCL. I personally do not feel they nickle & dime you... Yes, they have implemented a new fee & have increased prices on some of their "extras" but as someone commented on another thread, I would rather they keep costs low on their fares & pass along price increases to only those who use those specific services... I found the food, service, & rooms to be exceptional on our last NCL cruise. It is what you make of it! ;) BTW, I got an email this morning that they have extended the pick your perk promo... :O

  4. lol yes it was confirmed on Norwegian's official Facebook page but it is only on the two ships for now the break away in the getaway.

The only place I see anything about it on their Facebook page is where someone asked a question about it. I must be missing something?

  5. If I'm thinking about the same one, they were fine, but he was actually doing bus/shuttle transport, never saw their limos. Will look for his card when I get home to see if we're talking about the same guy...

  6. How cool is that! What a small world! I am looking at a return flight into Asheville on Allegiant, but have never flown them before. All their extra fees are making me think twice.... ESPECIALLY their baggage policies & fees. Don't have to guess ahead of time how many bags I'll need with good ole Southwest! :-) Even Delta gives you a free carry-on & 50 lbs on your checked bags!

  7. Hey everybody! Forgive me if this is asked and answered 1,000 times here, but my hubby & I are cruising out of Miami (NCL Epic) and return on Sunday, December 14. How doable is a flight out of PBI? If it would be a viable option, what is the best way to get to the airport on a Sunday? Something I saw indicated Tri-Rail only runs Monday-Saturday but I have no clue about this... or even if that would be a good option! What time do we need to look at flights after?? OR is there another airport (besides FLL or MIA) that we should look at that would be better? Flights out of FLL and MIA one way are $400 or more per person at times that would be late enough after disembarkation...

Thank you in advance for your help!

  8. I would actually recommend that you consider Norwegian Cruise Line. We are in our mid-thirties & have sailed Royal, Carnival, & NCL. The new NCL ships have tons of things to do, lots of dining options, & great service!

  9. If it is before your final payment date then you can take advantage of the newly reduced fares. HOWEVER, you will lose any promos, onboard credit, etc you were previously booked under. What they do is cancel your prior booking (since you can cancel without penalty) and rebook you at the lower rate. Your final payment amount is adjusted accordingly.

If it is AFTER final payment, you can give them a call and they MIGHT be able to allow you to upgrade to a higher stateroom category, but you cannot get onboard credit or a price adjustment for the reduced price.

Hope that helps! Ask if any more questions!

  10. Thanks everyone! I was trying to remember, but I thought they said "we have you in balcony stateroom xyz" or something similar. Jusr never really paid attention to that detail, I guess! :-)

  11. Good morning! Strange question...

I have upgraded from an inside stateroom to a balcony as an anniversary surprise for my husband. Is there any way to have our account noted so that they do not say what TYPE of room we are in when we check in? I want him to first find out when he walks in the room. I thought about putting a note on a sticky (post it note) on my credit card when we check in, but thought that might be a little too bankrobberish! :-) Ideas? ;)

    Thank you!!

  12. We sailed in E3 on Fantasy, Fascination's virtual twin. Would do it again in a heartbeat! Love porthole rooms! Some light during the day but pitch black for sleeping! I am a really light sleeper & always bring earplugs just in case... only noise we heard waa the crew coming in & out of the door leading to their lounge, but it was nothing my 50 cent earplugs couldn't fix!

  13. My husband and I are going on NCL Jewel from Houston this December. I have always loved reading the "All things..." threads before going on a new ship, but I haven't been able to find one for this ship, so I decided to start one! :p Any tips, tricks, secrets, and/or information you Jewel veterans would be willing to share would be MUCH appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
