I have already stopped cruising with P&O after our last cruise. There are better options available.

Coming to a Cruise Ship near you?

The Pyxis Ocean has set sail to test EU-funded WindWings technology that will bring cutting edge wind propulsion to commercial shipping for the first time. Â

Nice & gooey on Coral. Tips are still required, but on how to get just a spoonful without having the rest of the crust hanging from the spoon.
I used my knife and fork to break it up into manageable portions.🙂

Why not see a bit of the Hunter Valley and visit Aird's of Lochinvar. They have Akubra hats. They are less than an hour from Lake Macquarie.Â

I booked a Holiday Inn property 10 months in advance using points for August 2024. I noticed that the amount of points varies depending on how far out you book. It was higher at 12 months out but dropped about 20% two months later.

Help----we r planning an AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND cruise in March 2024. Are you able to not book cruise ship excursions and just get off at the ports and get taxi/or tours from locals? We have done that in the Caribbean for example. OR pre-book a tour online from locals? We have never been to Aus/NZ . Thanks for any info.

I tend to stay clear of the overpriced ship tours and do what you are proposing. Saves lots of 💰 🤑

Thanks everyone for the recent posts. 🙂
From what I read it is still a bit difficult if you want to go to the Gondola on the way to/from the ship as there are no ship excursions.
Not sure if it is possible to shuttle into Christchurch and then take the local bus back to Lyttelton via the Gondola, then be able to access the port. This is what we did on our last trip. Got on the bus from Christchurch and after visiting the Gondola, there was a bus to take us into Lyttelton. It was easy.

She sure is in Sydney, but not for long.Â
Â
The queue was shorter at the front, and we were in the dining room just after noon.Â
Â
First day in port for the season means delays via border force. Boarding started just after noon and all were aboard by 4. Check-in is rapid now that covid is out of the way.
Â
Just backing-out now. Time to be cruising!!
What time did you join the queue?

Do they have Australian power points or do we need to bring adapters? Yes
Â
Is the inside temperature cool? I'm just starting to pack today and not sure what to pack. We've found HAL's ship's dining rooms to be on the cool side. Depends, not for me but sometimes it is for my wife.
Â
Someone's who been on a longer cruise may know this. Does Princess still have designated formal/dressy nights? Yes. As a guide, a 7 day cruise has 2 formal nights. Not everyone dresses to impress.
Thanks for any information and enjoy your cruise😃

Hi anyone who holds their shares through COMSEC have you had any luck getting a statement since they have moved us to the new platform.
Â
My portfolio only gives a dollar amount no shareholding.
If I bring up my CCL shares then there is no name on it just an account number and the time during the day (but no date)
If I go back to the Pershing pages then the Holding Statement does not have the shares listed now that Comsec has transferred them to itself and the Statement is last Month so no good for Princess.
If I go into Statements/Activity then I can get a sort of statement with the shares somewhere in the middle of an enormous amount of trading info plus my name (but middle name missing) and today's date. Not sure if Princess will accept this.
I have tried contacting Comsec but so far no one has bothered to get back to me.
Â
Anyone had any luck?
I applied on Friday using a combination of two screenshots showing the Name on the introduction screen and the portfolio screen, and I cut and moved the bottom of the screen to show the computer date and time. I used the free program, " Paint" to create the image. They applied the OBC yesterday. Hope this helps.
