  1. ...to place ALL liquids in a ziploc bag. On our 1st cruise in Sept. 2012 I opened my suitcase to find PINK Pepto Bismol all over my clothes. It came out in the wash but there is still a huge stain in my suitcase. Good thing I packed EVERYTHING (lol). I had some Tide Pods and dryer sheets but had to wait forever at Customer Service for quarters.

@PresDuLac THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME. Last cruise my ankles were so swollen.

  2. I love carnival but one thing I think is wrong is that some ship only get half there money back.If there is a problem with the ship and they still sailed to some ports they should get full refund.I went on Royal Caribbean left out of Baltimore 1 day late because of mechanical issues and sailed to Freeport and had to dock because it continued to have issues .I had a suite with 4 paying adults and got a full refund option was full refund or future cruise.Carnival needs to own up to there problems and understand people take a vacation to get away from problems and spend lots of money for cruising so they should offer something good so people will continue to cruise carnival again.

Subject: RE: $5 Match Play with Cheers Program

When a passenger buys a classic cocktail they may take the receipt to the casino cage for $5 match play. I can't remember if it is a chip or card but it must be used at table games and the player must pay at least an additional $5 to place a bet. Since the cheers program has been rolled out to several ships there are varying reports about the ability to use the $5 match play with receipts from classic cocktails ordered by Cheers Program users. Some have been able to participate in the $5 match play promotion and others have not. Possibly because the receipt says $0.00...but there was a payment made for the program therefore the drinks themselves. Crossing my fingers, Amy

    Hi Amy,

The Cheers Program was rolled out softly, so we never addressed it directly, but a guest who buys a Classic Cocktail on the Cheers Program will be able to redeem for a MatchPlay coupon.

  4. Does anyone know if the match play works in conjunction with the Cheers program? I would guess no but hopeful anyway.

NVM, answered my own question with a simple search. Seems that its a Yes with "Cheers" program but No with "Casino on Us" program.

Menu showing some Carnival Signature Cocktails that would qualify as a classic cocktail.

  6. I wanted to know if anyone had any firsthand experience with "Dr. Fish". It is at the Santa Catharina location of Welzijn Spa (1 of 3 locations on Curacao). Or any of their services/tour?

EXCERPT from recent email response to enquiry:

We have, as you noticed, 3 locations:

1 Sta Maria (will be under construction coming weeks)

2 Juliana Dorp -> Is closest to the warf. More holistic site.

3 Sta Catharina, here we more recreation / sight singing activities.

  7. Hi, Thanks for posting this information. I checked out the site and I think this will be very helpful the next few months. Can I please get a confirmation of what the % is. Is it sold or unsold? The reason I ask is because the cruise I will be on is the lowest %; yet the prices have only gone up and there are no gty cabins available. All other cruises on this ship now have gty cabins available. They are currently offering 55+ discount to bring the cost down; which did help my parents. I am looking at the Rhapsody to Alaska for August 3rd out of Seattle. There will be 5 cabins in our group; so changing dates is not an option at this point; but at least 3 of the 4 other cabins would love to save the money with a gty cabin. Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, the % is CATEGORIES AVAILABLE not cabins. Also, from what I have read that many times (closer to sail date) the cruise line will do the "last minute shuffle" to fill all vacancies.
