  1. What an amazing night... cruising into NYC will never get old.

After a year+ of OCD-ing over the Bliss, I now have to figure out how to resume normal life again. Or I could just start all over, with only 548 days until Encore. That’ll be one hell of a reunion.

See you on the Encore. How are we going to survive without your reports? Let us know when you start with an Encore group.

  2. Bellaloomp ... We will be in 11106 over Christmas ... How is the cabin ? Did you have my issues with motion due to the position of the bed? We were in an Aft balcony last year so it will be a lot different for us this cruise

Wow. Lucky you. No issues with motion sickness. The cabin is fantastic. I'll post some pictures.

  3. We sailed the week of June 19th on the BA in a Haven suite 11106, corner room front. The Haven is heaven. If you need anything, ask Anoop. He is the Consierge. He will make it happen. Mary at the restaurant desk is another lady to remember. She is very friendly. The bar staff and wait staff are all very friendly. Ask the barman to make you a "pre-lunch secret drink". Our personal butler was Crisol. Our treats were delivered on time every afternoon around 4.00. Lobster, steak, whatever you're in the mood for, they have you covered. Enjoy your cruise. Tell them Catherine du Toit says hi.

  4. I don't understand the gratuity issue. We were just on a sailing on NCL Breakaway with a free at sea special. All gratuities for the UBP were included. Only while in port in NY, we had to pay extra taxes and that was explained to us very clearly. We wanted to trade the bad champagne (lol) in for something else, they offered us two bottles of water. The BA staff were amazing. They sometimes even offered us things such as port, etc. explaining that if it is under $15, we can get it under our UBP.

  5. Oh my. I went back to the beginning of this thread and what a blessing. I found my postings on pp 7 and 8. I am so glad to see Krazy Kruizer, c230k and Mike are still around. It feels like coming home. I have cruised multiple times since last I posted here, so I better go find some pictures to fit in with the amazing ones that are shown here.

  6. We are 17 days from cruising and my husband just broke his ankle.:(:(

Any suggestions on how to make this trip a little easier? He is on crutches, with a cast up to his knee and cannot put any weight on his ankle.

Cancellation is not a option, we are cruising with my best friend and her 3 children.

My main concern is showering, he cannot get his cast wet and cannot put any weight on it. I have emailed special needs to see if they have a shower chair that we could use.

Other than that I am just STRESSED OUT!!

Go on Amazon if you have time and lookup shower with cast or something. They are a bag like thing that fits over your leg up to your ankle snd fits very snug around your thy. Like a tourniquet almost, but not that much. It really helped me. I went through the same thing two months back.
