I spent almost the entire day there!
Even if you manage to squeeze it in you will be exhausted by the time you get on the ship.
-
I have seen 2 at once, and it got pretty crowded.

I went in 2012
I don't think I saw any animals whatsoever, and that includes the drive to and from the ruins.
Did hear a few birds though. Don't let her watch Bird Box before the trip.
She would be able to go back the bus at any point I believe. It isn't a very far walk.
Gotta say though, that was one of the coolest places I have ever been. (it started raining half way through our tour)
It will be worth the trouble!

Maybe one day, hopefully.
I want to knock out a few other cruise destinations first.
Hawaii
Alaska
Iceland
Europe

Wow! That looks amazing!!!
-
I highly recommend them!
They are much nicer than most dirt holes in the Caribbean!
-
Thanks.

Do you guys rent the car ahead of time or do you wait till get off the ship?

Tampa is super easy. As are most Florida ports.
When Tampa is busy and you get there a bit late it still only takes about 30 - 45 minutes to get on the ship.
I get there early, and this is my record time:
I parked, walked across the street, went through security, checked in, got my room key, and was on the ship.
Time from Truck to Ship... 10 minutes!

In my experience, 3 weeks out is the safe booking cut off point.
Unless you can go the week after I would advise you to not risk it much longer.
Good luck 😎

Spring Break is terribly packed with kids...
I went on the Freedom one year and there was over 700 kids on board! 😩

Gotta get in on this! 🤩

Eastern Caribbean as it is nicer and safer.
This

I have been on 10 cruises, and 4 of them have been solo.
I must admit, because I tend to keep to myself, the first solo was a bit awkward. However I am glad that I tried another one. And the 3rd was prob the best cruise I have ever had.
I have never been on an Alaska or New England cruise, but I would be hesitant about going solo because I have heard the crowd is older and I might be bored.
I would suggest a lively Caribbean cruise for your first solo.

Congrats GC on making Diamond!
I hoping I will hit Diamond on my b2b of Brilliance next year! Sorry your sick now! Is CD Steve still there? The 2 nights I was actually roaming Liberty I couldn't find the fun parties at around 12am! I crawled back to bed to think death might be better then this bronical attack; again thanks to DT 60's air system never cleaned. Kudos to the people/medical facilities on Liberty!
Hey thanks!
Dang I can't remember the CD name already... he is from Fiji.
Sounds like I have what you had... luckily my Doc was in the office today.
The late night parties were pretty lame on the Brilliance because no one showed up, and there was no Deck party. :(
-
Just off Yesterday... Curtains.
Dang water all over the bathroom floor because of them.

Hey! I'm on the top deck of Brilliance somewhere in that pic! :p
That sucks you were sick the whole time...
I got back Thursday, and now i'm sick! :o

I was on this same cruise. I had a good time! I only noticed a few "long faces", It seemed worse on at the start of the cruise and got better. For the most part everyone I came in contact with was in a good mood.
I thought the pizza in the Park Cafe was amazing, infact the Park Cafe had the best food on the entire ship! Windjammer wasn't too great the first day, but the rest of the cruise was pretty good!
My biggest complaint was the lack of "party people". The cruise was so dull, and everyone was so mellow. The StarQuest Club was almost completely dead 3 out of the 5 nights. They really need to advertise it better, people were asking me where it was even on the last day. Also there was no Deck Party/White Party, I always look forward to these.
Good news is I achieved Diamond on this cruise! WOO HOO! :D:cool::)
Bad news is, now I'm sick. :(

Such a shame, the Freedom Class nightclubs were some of the nicest I have been in on a ship. Just another example of eliminating public areas for the sake of cramming more passengers on board and creating new for-fee venues. It's a disappointing trend that's spreading industry wide.
Couldn't agree more!
