  1. You can get the lower price before final payment.  I fought with them today and they gave me half of what I was due.  There price guarantee you can use as toilet paper.  We book 3 cabins over Christmas for the last 10 years. plus another on each year.  They don't care.  They also changed the final payment 90 days out instead of the 60.  They must need the cash flow.  From what I see in the news they will have shut down lots of cruises.

  2. Hi all, we are going as a family of 6 in three staterooms all connected. We  have been going on celebrity for the last 8 years. This will all be new to our family. I hope when they make the new transformation it will be totally American.  Looking forward for a great holiday cruise. We are from Philadelphia.

  3. Just a note if you own 100 shares of carnival stock you get 100.00 ship board credit. they pay a nice dividend and the shares are well worth the price. So if you travel many times on seabourn you get the 100.00 credit. This is by itself. you also get 300.00 credit with american express platinum and that will not stop you from getting the 100.00 from carival.

  4. Crystal makes every effort to bring back the good old days of big band music and dancing. Just remember you must know the music of glen miller and the great tommy Dorsey band. we mad two crossing this year with the tommy Dorsey band. But you have to be of the age when you danced or listened to them both. Crystal has them both. only on crossings they play 3 times a night.

The outfits the ladies wear are over the top. In my opinion Crystal pricing is a lit much but you get everything no extras. The other thing is on crossing they have the best speakers. I am not in sails at all but we have cruised with crystal 30+ times.

  5. Look up the next time the Tommy Dorsey plans to play on the crystal Symphony. If you love ballroom dancing they are the best. We took two cruises with them this year. They only do crossings. They play 3 times a day.

    Well worth the trip.

  6. Have you ever been on Crystal? We have, we just came back on a crossing with the Tommy Dorsey band. They had wonderful hosts. They even brought more on board. In the 30's and 40' that's the only type of bands for ballroom dancing. I was on a wait list just toget on the March crossing. We will be back in Oct. They also have all priced cabins. Not a Carnavil cruise line. Your right their house band is not great at all. But their show band is great.

    Margate Cruiser.

  7. Is Crystal. There crossing cannot be beet. They have twice a year the Tommy Dorsey band 19 strong. They play for cocktail hour every night and 10 PM to 12PM every night. The passengers wear there best and what great dancers. If you travel alone they have the best men to dance with the single women. Their crossing is Oct. 18th from Lisbon to Miami. We take it both ways every year.

    Trust me it's worth it.

  8. There. is no company that I know of in the class of celebrity that won't give a refund. The funny thing the ship had no idea of this rule. Sorry guest relations did the boss but none of the regular workers behind the desk. The boss threw up her hands and said they had no control of the policy. That's BS in my book.

  9. We just got off the Summit on a great Bermuda cruise. But I would like to inform you that the company that runs all the shops have a policy. If you buy something like a watch perfume or anything else and you decide to take it back they eill not give a credit only exchange. So if I bought my wife a 500.00 watch they would not give a refund only and exchange. I spoke to the officers on board who directly are involved these shops and they were shocked they had no idea of this crazy policy. I did get letter from the ship telling me they would look into this crazy policy.

  10. That when Seabourn was Seabourn and not run by Holland America. Even there web sight is a bait and switch. I got a piece of mail for a Feb cruise stating the price for a cabin was 2199.00 called my agent ant his surprise was 3600.00 so be careful for there advertising I call it a bait and switch. I sent the ad to the FTC.for clarification. we have over 300 days on Seabourn never have I see such desptive advertising. There other ships that give the full prices with no gimmicks. Pardon my spelling I am no youngster.

  11. Both the river boat industry and the cruise ship industry always have 2 for 1 sale. That is there pricing. As for paying in advance you do much better going threw a travel agent than going direct. But you must ask first what his or her deal is in the paying. I have re booked and switched over my deposit. my travel agent went threw his consortium for the best deal. Hope I helped some of you.
