Thank you Lynne!
I wonder if there’s a way to pre-order a topper for my room so I know I actually get one. With Royal I had a direct email address just for that.I’d rather an ending than wait on the phone forever. Anyone know?

How are the beds on the Getaway (in regular cabins)? Are they hard, uncomfortable?
I’ve cruised many times on Royal and a few yrs back they changed all the beds with no toppers. They’re hard like sleeping on a concrete floor!
if these are also hard, can I ask for toppers?

I am allergic and have been to Alaska a ton. No problems.
There are usually alternatives such as chicken or ribs.
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone for your replies

Am I the only one going to Alaska that does not eat Seafood?
I will only eat Shrimp.
Will I find anything to eat in Juneau, Skagway or Ketchikan?

I meant to take pics of the menus each night but I kept forgetting. I did get one night and the Pinnacle Grill Menu. I'm pretty sure my husband took quite a few nights so if he did I will try to post them. They are on his phone and of course he is not home.
Ok thank you!!

Thank you so much for posting. We’ve never been on Princess, but going in June (same except Tracey Arm Fjords).
Does anyone know the menu on the Star?? Will this be it?
Thank you

I’ve decided to stay put where I booked at the Doubletree airport.
Thank you all for your replies.

I booked it with some hotels.com gift card that I got at 15% off. So it was less than $200 a night for me. For a room that sleep 5 with free breakfast buffet and a kitchen, it is actually hard to beat the price with a good rating hotel.
You got a great deal

I found the Residence Inn near Westlake station for a little bit over $200 a weeknight in early May. The reviews are very nice and it sleeps 5.
They want $592 for 2 nights 1st week of June!
Thanks anyway.

For one room!?!?!?!? Yowza! It's obviously been a while since we looked at it in peak season - something out at the airport and LINK suddenly looks an awful lot more enticing...;-)
Yes!

The Belltown Inn is in a great location just north of the downtown core area. It looks like it has AC so you could keep your windows closed. Noise will be an issue but the busiest areas near there are a block down along 2nd Ave. The Crocodile, Jupiter, Rocco’s, Buckley’s, Shorty’s along 2nd is a very busy area late at night. If you’re young, this may be a bigger appeal. Unless there is some glaring negativity that you find, I’d stay there if you got a rate that is acceptable. I’m walking through there several times a week and grab a slice of pizza at Rocco’s weekly. It’s got a good vibe.
Thank you.

MARTINCATH- The Mediterranean Inn wants $684 for the 2 nights in season!
Thank so for your help

MARTINCATH,
I appreciate your input and agree.
The reason I was being explicit in my question was because I didn’t want a long response of everyone’s other very expensive hotel choices. I’ve already checked out a bunch. I wanted feedback on this one since I was contemplating it after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor. I went back and looked at the reviews marked poor and saw the cons too.
Since I don’t want to spend a fortune at the other centrally located hotels, I’ll keep my original choice near the airport.
Thank you again

You might get a better response on the West Coast Departures board.
Not one reply there either. But thank you!

Belltown Inn (Downtown Seattle) Has anyone stayed here?
It’s really reasonable considering it’s right in the heart of everything!
I’ve read a lot of great reviews on TripAdvisor.
JUST REVIEWS ON THIS HOTEL PLEASE. Thank you!

Herfnerd,
Once again, thank you! Your pictures are beautiful. Yes, we’re going the beginning of June. I keep hearing about Tracy’s.
Bad thing is, I don’t eat seafood. LOL. I looked on their website for their menu so hubby can eat there. They have nothing except seafood! Probably will eat in Red Dog Saloon.
-
Prish,
We leave just before you in June. I’m booking my excursions now. It looks like a lot of people do. I didn’t want to miss out on doing something I really wanted to.
Its fully refundable if you change your mind.
-
Thank you Herfnerd!
Good to hear. I booked it last night. Unfortunately we don’t dock until 12:30 (—10PM), I chose the 1:30 tour to be safe. So we’ll be going to Mendnhall Glacier 1st.
Do you remember when they actually leave?
Is it about a 1/2 hr after check in? Trying to guess what time we’ll be back since all aboard is probably 9-9:30. I d like to have a little time to check our Red Dog Saloon afterwards.

Is Juneau Shore Tours a whale watch vendor or just a booking company ? Good way to tell is if their web site provides info about their boats and capts.
Thanks for reminding me! Yes, It’s a booking co.
I just saw pics on their site that I overlooked.
They show pics of “Juneau Whale Watch” boats.
I’m booking with J.W.W. Right now
