  1. Please let me know if any micro brewery shows up on Alaskan cruises.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Forums mobile app

Just back from the Grand Alaskan Cruise our of SF. They started selling Alaskan Brewing Co. Amber, Summer and White by the third or forth day into the cruise. That is on the micro brew beer.

  2. Day 1 Los Angeles, California- -- 5:30 pm

Day 2 Avalon, Santa Catalina Island 7:30 am --

    Day 2 At Sea -- --

Day 3 Avalon, Santa Catalina Island -- 1:00 am

Day 3 Ensenada, Mexico 9:30 am 6:30 pm

    Day 4 At Sea -- --

Day 5 Long Beach, California 8:00 am --

This is for the Carnival Live Presents Jewel 4 Day Baja Mexico Cruise Nov 9th.

The map they have for the itinerary (see attached) shows the ship going to Catalina Island and then going out to sea only to wrap around and come back to Catalina Island. Does this mean they drop off and then pick up cruise guest or what? I'm looking to book this cruise but I'm confused at the hours we can visit this island.

Has anyone taken one of the Carnival Live Baja Concerts?

What really was the itinerary for those not watching the concert?

    Thanks

  3. I could be wrong but I think what Tedferg might be implying is that many native San Franciscans or those who've lived there for a long time dislike or are sensitive by their city being called San Fran or especially Frisco. Again I could be misinterpreting Tedberg's intention.

We really don't care. SF, the city, San Fran ... - whatever gets you there.:D

  4. As already stated, they do have non-fat and low-fat milk at the International Cafe. Also, in case you're interested, they offer soy milk and, on the Royal Princess in November, I ran into a woman who said she got an almond milk late every day.

    Enjoy!

Thank you so much for letting me know about the Soy and Almond Milk -Very Helpful!

#2 while we sat on our balcony enjoying our bottle of wine we started to see some white spots moving and then getting lost in the darkness. And I know what you're thinking "they were just drunk as hell" lol, no, I mean I was pretty drunk, but mom was not. So we defiantly were seeing something. Well it is actually kind of sad what we were witnessing… After sometime staring at the sky we had figure it out, they were birds. What would happen is that they started flying from deck 15 ( my guess) and circling the ship, but the ship was going at full speed, and very few of them managed to catch up to the ship. Most of them got lost in the darkness of the sky and well your guess is as good as mine as far as their fait. Mom was a little sad, we saw at least 6 of them get lost in the darkness :(, I am not sure when we picked them up? maybe in Labadee? we never saw them the nights before labadee. I tried to get it on video but it was just too dark.

Maybe they were a type of Seagull - I know they flight at night and can go hundreds of miles.

  6. gazpacho, I tried it, that was about it, no one else did, it was ok I guess. But there is actually a very funny story that goes with this dish. Well as you could have guessed the migraine was gone by then and as I was eating I grabbed the martini glass and went to take a sip thinking it was an alcoholic drink. So ashamed of it. It was almost like an impulse, the worse part of it is that I did it 3 times, not bluffing, what the hell is wrong with me. Eventually I asked the server to remove it, it was driving nuts, lol. Horrible I know. But very fuuny we where all cracking up!!! lol

That is so super funny LOL ... and embarrassingly something I would have done :o

That day I woke up with a horrible migraine, it was probably from mixing all wine the night before. I ended up having sauvignon blank, moscato and cabernet. I decided to try to get rid of it with some food and coffee, rather than take excetrin migraine and risk damaging my tummy again.

I take Excetrin Migraine occasionally and I have found that you HAVE TO have food in your tummy or it will rip you up. I think that is why you got so sick from it that time. I've accidentally skipped the food and took the pills - I a paid for it dearly in just the same way. So, next time - eat something with that pill :)

  8. ok folks, it was a very long and stressful day at work. Now its time to keep my promise :-). I will address all the questions later today or tomorrow morning.

Gambee, so sorry to hear work is stressing you out. Yuck :(

Don't feel like you have to rush and get this done for us. I want you to enjoy writing this review like you enjoyed the cruise itself. :) We can wait it out - you are worth it!

    Your Fan,

    Jen

  9. Here is what my spreadsheet looked at the beginning of the cruise. Attached to this post is my calendar, feel free to grab and edit it to your own schedule. Another fellow CC member shared this one with me. By the way the final calendar looked nothing like this on, lol.
