Where is this going to be located in relation to the exsisting terminal?

Lilith (Lilly) at Headliners is such a sweetheart. She got our "hero" card for our trip back in December.
"the restaurant never seemed more than half filled and even the bar closes at 5!"
Guess it's 5 o'clock somewhere else. :)

So, what has failed each time that the pods went down? Motor, thrust bearing, shaft seal, transformer, inverter (power SCR's, or control circuit boards), azimuthing system? I can't say, but it is highly unusual for these systems, which are required to be inspected by third party (class society) and serviced every drydocking, and the maintenance program to meet the manufacturer's and class society's
Believe me that drydocking is not the end all and be all for ship repairs.
This post, in its entirety, is exactly what this thread needed. Well said.
Coming from someone who's daily job is PLC's and VFD's (ironically a LOT of ABB drives) and deal with the safety of people's lives, it's nice to see someone try to sort out everything that is involved to anyone who hasn't worked in the industry, and may not entirely know how much goes into a system like this.

I agree with the recommendation for Food Republic. It's not a free venue but well worth the price.
We are there at LEAST once a day on the Escapes maiden transatlantic voyage.

The above poster is correct. You keep the perks you originally booked.

I'll be there a week from tomorrow and can't wait to go exploring the lighthouse again. :)

I was really hoping to get the chance to at least bid on an upgrade to surprise the SO.
Ohh well I guess.
-
Darn.. that's the cruise I was wondering about.
-
Just curious to see when the last week of Dec. cruise emails go out.
Be interesting to see how many bid options there are for the xmas and New Years itineraries.
Has anyone gotten an invitation for anything past December 15th?

For good lobster, I have two words.
Legal Seafood. Their entire menu is great.
Even at the little place in the Boston Airport. lol
-
P.S, even Gordon Ramsay went off on some lobster shop owner who claimed he was selling Maine lobster rolls. Gordon took one bite, called BS then went searching.
I loved that episode. :)

I think that the Universal Studios characters (whatever falls under that umbrella) should start their own cruise line.
A Marvel Comics ship
Can't happen. Universal only owns the rights to Marvel for use in theme parks under an existing deal. Disney owns everything Marvel now.

...never order what passes for lobster on a ship.....
But please don't try to say lobster isn't a great dish!!
I never said it wasn't, but based on the warm water ones they serve on ships. It is.
Most people have never had a real, freshly caught, cold water lobster. All they know is cruise ships, overcooked hibatchi, and Red Lobster. *shudder*
Unless you're getting a fresh cold water, you're better off enjoying some of the other amazing seafood out there.

There's been quite a few changes over the last few years:
- Nickelodeon gone
- Geoffrey Zakarian gone
- Cake Boss gone
- Blue Man Group gone
Those 4 examples were the simple result of contracts expiring and not being renewed.
I know for a fact, due to my job and connections, that one of them was NOT NCL's choice but the other party involved opted to not renew. I'm sure several others were too.
Contracts have time limits and companies decide what they want to do after said date passes.
- Nickelodeon gone

As a chef, I never had understood the allure of the lobster on the ships. It is warm water lobster (spiny ) and really has zero flavor,
THANK YOU!!! I've been saying this for a very long time and have gotten attacked by what I call the "Crustacean Commandos".

We did Stingray Sailing 3 years ago and already have Capt. Chip booked for this December.
You can't go wrong with Captain Chip and the Far Tortuga.

I agree with a previous poster. The best place to eat isn't on the plan.
Food Republic is amazing. I lost track of how many times we ate there when on the maiden T-A of the Escape. It was easily at least once each day, several days were two or more. We made it a goal to try the entire menu before we reached Miami.

I'm a huge seafood fan, but I've never understood people's love of lobster.
It's literally the cockroach of the sea. There are so many other things out there that taste so much better.

I usually pick up the flights the day or two after they become live. So 300+ days out since we already have the trip planned usually at that point.
This next one in Dec I purchased at the beginning of the year. Nonstop DTW to MIA then the return is nonstop TPA to DTW.
First class, $440 a person round trip. Same seats are now over $1k a person each way.

The medical evac on our Escape Trans Atlantic was really interesting to watch. Our diversion down towards Spain to meet up with their Navy and the helicopter evac was very interesting to watch.
Just one more thing to remember from that once in a lifetime maiden TA.
-
Never had a single issue with NCL booking our Air France flight to Paris for the Escape Transatlantic or our return flight from MIA to DTW.
Was able to call Air France and change to the seats we wanted and same with the Delta flight back home.
-
I've been at M&G's with as little as 20 people and as large as, well, on the Escape TA they gave us the Manhattan Room and the Captain said it was the largest M&G NCL had seen.
There were easily 200+ people there. It was a lot of fun.

A classic zombie thread.
Back from the dead. :)

Yep.. I had so many people I know who don't know that there are two ships there saying "This is fake right?" lol
Just a really bad picture to use.
